Will say it again - avoid this company!!! On May 31 2022, in the process of them replacing my windshield, the Safelite tech broke my rear view mirror. They informed me that they would replace it. It's now August and I have not heard back from the shop about replacing my rearview mirror. I've called them twice to follow up and both times they said that the part hasn't been received but they would get back to me. It's incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable that I'm the one who has to chased them down for updates. It is obvious that is not a priority for them. I will never go to that shop again, and I would never recommend anyone to go there either. They break customers property and then lag their feet in addressing the issue.

Then sent me to a body shop of their choice. If this happens to you fight to pick your own body shop. I had to leave our explorer with the body shop 3 times. Bothering friends and family to follow me there each time. It was a decal that was damaged. My girlfriend needed her back window replaced and her insurance agency would only approve Safelite to do her work. Got car back with glass in trunk and back seat and the rear window defroster not working. Over a month had passed because that it when we noticed it. They would not warranty. Paid local trusted mechanic $100 to pull it apart, he found that they never plugged the rear window defroster back in.

Location is easy to get to, not far from the Route 1 ramp either north or south. Close to Market Basket and Stop and Shop, getting in my shopping after, saved a trip, this was a plus. Phillips has a parking lot which is convenient with plenty of spaces if you are coming into the shop. They have coffee and tea in the waiting room. Magazines were a little dated but adequate. I called and made an appointment and that is when they order the windshield glass for the replacement. The customer service person at the desk was pleasant and arranged for this appointment. She apologized for the mix-up on the appointment the previous day which came from a different office. The windshield was going to be replaced at my residence but the worker did not show. Be clear on your at home installation, and write down who you spoke with for the initial appointment. The shop worker was careful to take my inspection sticker, parking sticker and oil change sticker off and put them exactly in place on the new windshield. The glass was installed in less than one hour. It is now 2 months, and I have had no problems, leaks, etc. with the new windshield. I appreciated the customer service person at Chelsea fitting me in as well as the glass shop worker. I understand "stuff happens". If not for this, I would give Phillips a higher rating based on my shop visit the next day. My insurance covered the glass so I do not know what was charged.

I went through all of the inputs for my License, Plate #, VIN, Insurance policy number, and a bunch of other details that they wanted, and they say "Can't verify with your insurance company, Geico". My insurance is fine, never missed a payment, so now you hvae to start with their online "chat" with someone who doesn't speak English. I have wasted 45 minute on this now. They finally tell me "they don't work automatically with GEICO". Really?? I broke a windshield 15 or 20 years ago, and it was much easier than this.

I waited to see anyone for about 5 minutes, before I went in to the office and no one was there. I saw in the garage that it was empty. I returned to my car to look for an available appointment online, since it is such a tiny crack, it should be a quick fix, right? A tall man came out and asked what I needed, I said I was looking for an appointment for a tiny crack to be fixed. He said they didn't have any appointments available (even though they closed 40 minutes later), and didn't ask to see what it looked like. Just "too busy," with their empty garage. I think they just wanted to leave early. I don't recommend this location. I had much better luck & customer service in Beverly, and it only took 10 minutes to fix. Also, I called Safelite 4 times before being able to be connected to a centralized call center person, who then tried to connect me to this location 3 times herself. They have no receptionists at any locations, and Safelite should make it possible to contact local locations through one of their phone options.
