Dr. Matusiak was very rude when breaking the results to us by saying "Bad news, its negative. Now I know you wanted it to be positive so you would get antibiotics and be all better by tomorrow. Do popsicles." first of all, we followed YOUR guidelines to care for our daughter who has now lost close to 2lbs since being seen between Wednesday and Saturday because he throat is so bad she can't eat, throws up because she's coughing so bad, and Dr. Matusiak has the nerve to joke that we were hunting for medicine. After speaking to our nurse further she made sure to let us know that their policy is to give kids 36 months and older the multi dose flu shot (w thimerosal) but the single dose preservative free is available upon request. Besides being insanely irresponsible, she did mention our daughter had the preservative free in 2017 without ever giving us an option. I wonder how many physicians in that group will go on record showing us their own children this age getting the multi dose. Shame on you Elmhurst Pediatrics. Our daughter is still dealing with multiple tics both verbal and physical suddenly ever since the injection. Maybe she is extra sensitive to mercury - who knows. We should not be in the situation period. And please one more doc tell us it's the same as eating a can of tuna please. I've been told on three separate visits now to 'switch to cows milk.' I have no intention of 'switching' my baby until he's ready. I really do, better than most, and I'm hesitant to write this review bc I want to continue to receive good care. I understand it's busy, especially at back to school time, but often I feel like I'm not really being listened to sometimes and just being read a script. So, if you want a traditional point of view, and a by the book opinion, you'll like this dr. If you're going to do things a little more natural, you might leave ignoring some of the advice, Iike we do.

Three of my sons have some underlying issues and are seen by a nationally known specialist out of state, and we have always appreciated how easily Dr. Mercola interacts with that doctor. There is always coordinated care. The staff could not be nicer, and we have never had to wait long for an appointment. We've also always been able to schedule same day appointments when needed. We grateful for that! Parenting is hard. De. Mercola makes the medical part of it much, CMU easier.

After calling the office, I was told "That doctor does not generally test" and "Each doctor has their own way of doing things." Dr. Haukness is not our usual doctor there and we would never have gone to see her had we known in advance there was such a difference in care (which diverges from what most doctors do / recommend). Insult to injury: I'm sure we'll still be charged for this worthless visit.

I think we called at the right time. Our main provider, Dr. Turk, is awesome. She takes as much time as is needed, she is extremely caring and seems to understand our concerns perfectly. We love their setup regarding sick visits and urgent/non-urgent call system. Our youngest daughter is only six weeks old at the time of writing this review. Overall, she is healthy, but she did catch a virus and ended up hospitalized one night when she was four weeks old. We brought her in for a sick visit when the symptoms were minor and first presenting. I was so impressed that Dr. Turk called the very next day, after the visit, to check on our daughter's progress. The first symptoms were relatively minor (still scary in that young of a baby). Unfortunately, they worsened. However, the practice was so accommodating and took the initiative to continue contacting us once they were aware of the problem. Dr. Wegner saw us for the second sick visit and correctly advised us to bring her to Northwestern, where she was inpatient for a night. The practice was then very proactive in continuing to follow up with contacting us upon discharge to check in with how our baby was doing. I was extremely impressed and grateful for the care this practice provided, and continues to provide, to our family.

She also would address my mom in the room telling her things about my child & how to care for her like as if I was the child not the parent . But unfortunately we moved to California so we had to say goodbye. (Honestly can't even find good doctors compared to them here still). They are very compassionate and truly love what they do for the kids and their families. My son was seeing Dr. Freed (He is THE Best!!!) But he also saw Dr. Ramana & Dr. Gruszka for sick visits and they are also wonderful. Dr. Freed was very patient with all the questions and concerns we had at every visit. He took his time to listen and make sure we understood everything before we would leave. He gave good resources & explanation. He was not the type of doctor who would just give you medication and not give you a chance or input on what you want/don't want. He makes the plans along with you! My son liked coming to see him and out of all the doctors he sees he always ask when we see his other specialist if we can see Dr. Freed instead. The nursing & front desk staff their are very sweet too and we were able to see the same faces usually when we came. Also, got to know some of them on first name basis. They were caring and interacted with my son well. Very patient people. Overall, I would recommend this clinic to anyone. As someone who works in healthcare we are usually careful (very picky) on who we trust with our care and I cannot say anything negative about the providers here! I miss them as my son's healthcare team!
