Wonderful haircut and experience every time! I've been in for multiple haircuts now and always leave happy and dapper. I don't feel rushed. The communication is great and the shop is so conveniently located. I just wish I had found them sooner. Mel's has become my go-to barbershop and one to which I will drive 20+ minutes to get to. They listen to your requests, the cuts are always on point, and the pricing is fair, especially considering you can book an appointment and not have to "wait your turn". Mel herself is my usual barber but on one occasion when she was out, Brittney took great care of me. Both of them are as nice as you could want, too. The shop is kept very clean, and you can pay with cash or card. There is nothing I can nitpick on. Shared parking lot in which you will never have a hard time getting a nearby spot. Always a great cut. Mel's back in Texas. They have online scheduling which makes things pretty easy.

They do ok over here. I think now they might be doing the full shampoo but for a while mask required and no after cut shampoos. I have that short kind of hair that really needs a wash after so was tough but understand. Not counting anything off for that, just sharing informational stuff. They're very nice, but they seem super touchy if you say or make a mistake either in scheduling or showing up. I've seen them be pretty straightforward bordering on condescending, even when people make honest mistakes. Haircuts seem to be fine and reasonable price at $25. I also leave a $5 tip and sign out for $30 at checkout. It's a get the job done place. Conversation is sometimes funny in there as they have the normal group of hair stylists and some out of work issues like apartment managers, having kids, expecting kids. Everything good unless you mess up your appointment time some how....LOL.... I'm super simple. Hand cut the sides but not too short because my hair sticks up.... Let me start off by saying I love my stylist at this place and I am sad to not return. That's where the good side ends. I have been going here for many years and on my last visit I was sharing some of the top new stories with my hairstylist, as I always do when I get my haircut. Then, two of the most vocal bleeding heart liberal women I have ever come across had the audacity to tell me to stop talking about a headline news story. One actually told us to stop talking, and that we weren't allowed to continue talking about the new story in this salon. Then after toning down the volume and content of the conversation, another one had to pipe in and reiterated that we needed to stop talking. Last I checked, there's freedom of speech in America. I've never been into a business where I am told as a customer what I can, and cannot talk about. Mind you there was no profanity, racial or inappropriate conversation. It was literally us discussing something that was on the newsfeed as I sat in the chair. Shame on these people. They should move to California or New York. I love how people like this are all about everyone having their freedom but clearly they don't practice what they preach. Below are pictures of these two fools who just caused the salon a customer and probably more than one because I noticed how shocked the other customers were when this happened. Got a vey curt response; yeah we have gotten good at that but if thats a problem we invite you to find another shop where they don't do that...and a hang up! Was looking for a long term place to get my hair cut. The first thing that went wrong was the haircut itself. The second I put in it was my first time but did not get my 5 dollars off. When I did get home I was told the back was uneven so I ended up having to trim it again. My thoughts...maybe it was the hairdresser but the haircut was overpriced along with bad. Sadly I have been given better rushed jobs by sportsclips and great clips while paying much less. read more
