Randomly stopped by Mel's today on the way the to bay because I was in need of a coffee, but ended up grabbing some ice cream too! They have a decent selection of ice cream and coffee. The ice cream and coffee are good/average nothing out of the ordinary. Service was good. I vibe of the store and area is very American summer camp which is a lot of fun. If you need a quick stop to wherever you're going Mel's is a good choice.

Had a sandwich and ice cream and both were very good! Will definitely come back when in the area.

I have driven by this ice cream shop so many times over the past few years while working and always wanted to stop. I cannot believe it took me this long but I finally stopped on a beautiful, sunny, spring day and got some ice cream after lunch! I got the mud pie flavor- which was like a chocolate almond mocha ice cream with cinnamon added. It was absolutely delicious! I ordered a kid's cup size and they gave me a huge portion. I ate my ice cream along the river while admiring the gorgeous view. Can't wait to stop by again and try another flavor! Highly recommend stopping by - based on the posted menu it seems they change their flavors often. Until next time!

Whenever I pass this place I say I'm going to stop by. Today I did. There was only one person working so I did have to wait a good amount of time. They sell a variety of things. I was able to try the icecream before purchasing. The price for icecream was really good and the amount they give is a lot. I ordered the single scoop I shouldve ordered the kid scoop because it was enough to share. I tried the butter brickle carmel icecream and it is to die for literally. I will definitely be back.

Creamy, tasty, hand scooped ice cream in an old town cozy shop on the side of the road. Scoop of heaven

It's clean and comfortable. You can park or dock a boat and walk three minutes. The mint chip ice cream is good.

I've been intending to write a review for the associated Air BnB (Martha runs it). The Grill/…read morerestaurant portion of the business has closed but Martha saved my caboose in a caffeine emergency! I was staying at an AirBnB in nearby Walnut Grove that was poorly stocked (I didn't book it - was there for a wedding nearby). Turns out - Walnut Grove isn't a grocery haven, meaning - called 6 places looking to purchase coffee to have enough for the duration of the stay (business week). I called 'grocery stores' from google & yelp - there's a 'convenience store' in town and when I called the guy who picked up seemed irritated I'd called asking about what coffee they sold. After being told they sold "coffee in a container that doesn't say how much there is, it's $14 and Folgers but it's in a container too and I don't know how much there is" (Actual quote, laughing out loud remembering), then called cafe's that make/ sold coffee (anywhere I saw latte or cup o joe) & that's how I ended up calling Martha. When she picked up "Hi, I saw that you have a cafe - I'm wondering if you sell coffee beans or grounds" to which she said "well, I have a keurig and you can have those or I can probably make a pot if that's what you prefer". After explaining my dilemma - she offered to sell me loose keurig's to get me through my stay! She seemed ruffled that my AirBnB didn't cover enough for the duration of the stay so looking forward to enjoying her hospitality at the AirBnB in the future! She was heading out to karaoke & I didn't wan to hold her up so I thanked her and relayed I'd suffer non- caffeination while we both laughed. She said I was en route and came by the AirBnB! For $4 (only cash I had on me), she gave me a huge fistful of keurigs (got me through the stay with a couple to spare!) , gave me recommendations for places in town, invited me to karaoke & to swing by the AirBnB (sounds adorable!). Martha was such a wonderful breathe of fresh air! If I'm ever in this part of Sacramento again, I know the AirBnB I'm checking out & have excellent tips on where to eat/ peruse in town! Thank you Martha!!

She gave us a tour of her B&B upstairs, history of her business and a walking tour on the street(s) of Locke. We walked to the state park behind the street and up to the river area. Lots of history here and the surrounding area. We all enjoyed ice cream after the tour. Call to schedule because Locke is small and hours are sporadic. We parked on the street but there is a public parking area in the back.

Or some other added treats. We used to visit another local coffee shop and that one recently closed and so we decided to give this one a try. Their regular coffee is a good coffee and their cheese danish are amazing. I like them better than the Starbucks cheese danish. As mentioned, you can get some other drinkable items and or food items. They are only open certain days of the week/weekend so that is something to be aware of. There is also side street parking, which is also located in front of the establishment. The pricing gear was also reasonable. It seems to be location that can be shareable with another business based off of the set up of the establishment, one business on one side and the other business on the other side. But the set up and the decor of this establishment is pretty cool some neat trinkets set up. During the time of our visit, there were two associates or owners, which may make up the complete team overall. They were both friendly. Establishment is located in a great place to catch up on some history around the small town as well.

We are almost never in the small, non-assuming town of Isleton unless we're driving to or from Stockton. But this little sandwich shop is way worth the stop - go check them out! Food was amazing!! After eating here, I cannot eat at any other sandwich shop again. Seriously! It's that good. We ordered The Bobby with Sourdough Roll, Pastrami, Mortadella, Provolone, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Oil & Vinegar - delicious and a hearty size. We also got The Angela with Croissant, Roast Beef, Pepper Jack Cheese, Mayonnaise, Dijon Mustard, Pepperoncini Peppers, Sprouts, Tomato, Red Onion. Both sandwiches were delicious. We also ordered two zombie sandwiches for a light dinner later that night. They are like bread buns stuffed with sandwich meat and cheese. Very good! You can have them heat the zombies for you. Service was great. The guy who took our order was friendly, respectful, and attentive. They have bottled drinks, chips, and jams and other items from local family-owned businesses. There's no indoor or outdoor seating, so plan to order and go! There's only a small entrance and ordering area inside the restaurant. This is definitely a small business that deserves to be patronized. Go check them out!
