The cake was moist, flavorful, and the strawberry filling was delicious, which is why we decided to order a 6 inch birthday cake for $90. Unfortunately the first custom cake was extremely dry. Nobody at the birthday party wanted to eat it, which was disappointing considering the price. We contacted the bakery, and to their credit they offered to remake the cake, which I genuinely appreciated. When we picked up the remake, the cake box had been taped shut and the frosting had smashed onto the top of the box, so I had to scrape frosting off the lid and put it back onto the cake myself. It wasn't a huge deal since it was just for family, but it didn't feel very carefully handled. The bigger issue was that the remake still wasn't made correctly. The original order was white cake with fresh strawberries and strawberry filling/purée in the middle. The remake had fresh strawberries but regular frosting filling instead. The cake itself was much better this time and not dry, but it still wasn't what we ordered. I do appreciate that they tried to fix the mistake, and their individual cake slices and cupcakes are honestly really good. But after receiving one dry cake and then a remake that was made incorrectly and packaged carelessly, I don't think I'd order another special occasion cake from here again.

Everything was supposed to be a mario world theme but pink because my daughter loves Toadette. I called and spoked with Desta she told me to send her an email with what I wanted. I thought I was clear on what I wanted. I asked for the cake to be pink and white, but what I got was all pink cake. I had asked for a strawberry and cream filling and I got only cream. I ordered pink mushroom cookies but I received red ones. We communicated through email, text and then they called me to confirm and to do the deposit and I had told them again and reminded them that I wanted pink mushroom cookies. The cookies were almost the same price as the cake and to receive what I didnt ask for kinda sucked. They offered me a dozen cup cakes to make up for the mistake but still messed up the theme that we had planned for the bday. The cookies did taste good I will admit that. I dont mean to be mean but the cake was my least favorite. In the email I had asked for a frosting that wasn't too sweet. I got fondant, I should have said not to use fondant I'm not a fan of fondant. The cake was also poorly made. The cake it self was not leveled they just stacked both cakes together upside down which created a big gap on the sides of the cake that was just filled with fondant. I've never seen a cake like that. I'm not gonna lie even tho the cake looked nice I thought it was going to be more nicer compared to the pics i've seen. It looked really plane. Desta did call the next day to apologize for the mistake while I was im the middle of the party so I missed the call. I heard the message she left, she apologized. I didnt call back because I didnt know what to say. Just wish they had a better system to order or a more clear communication. I've never done this before I was just trying to have a nice cake for my daughter but felt like I failed her. Dont let my review detour you from going and giving them a shot. I'll probably try Nugget next year.
