I've tried the pastrami and turkey with creamy pesto sandwiches. The turkey pesto was my favorite. It's balanced and very refreshing. The pastrami was also tasty, but I will order it without the sauerkraut next time. The tanginess of the pastrami along with the other toppings/ sauces is enough sour for me. I stopped here at the Tesla superchargers about 9:50 am. I was planning on going into Raley's to pick up a sandwich and use the restroom. But I saw the sign for Sweet Charlie's which intrigued me as I love ice cream. Then I saw the sign for West Coast Sourdough and knew where I was getting lunch. I walked up to the store at about 9:55 am. The open sign was lit but alas the door was locked. So I was peeking in the window to better see the menu and Nav came out and asked if I wanted to come in... well how could I not accept the kindly offered invite!! Their sandwiches looked way better than a Raley's sandwich. I went in and realized that West Coast Sourdough and Sweet Charlie's share the same space. I asked Nav the kind gal that had invited me in 5 mins before they actually opened at 10 what her favorite sandwich was... she said for a hot sandwich chicken pesto and a cold sandwich turkey with cranberry. Both sounded great! I ordered the hot chicken pesto with everything and am I glad I did!! The chicken meat was tender and juicy. The pesto was there but not overpowering. And of course lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. The produce was fresh and the bread!! Wow... I got the sourdough... duh! It is some of the best sourdough I've eaten... and I've eaten a lot of sourdough being from the SF Bay Area! I highly recommend this sandwich shop. I'm here very often. First I'm posting some pictures of their fresh baked cookies. I bought a big platter of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. They were so fresh and delicious. The ambience is so good I love the staff here they all greet with so much love and smiles on their faces all the time. Pretty disappointed with the outcome here. Ordered two sandwich's; a 6" chicken salad and a 4" turkey and dry salami. The chicken salad sandwich has to be the saddest sandwich I've seen for $11 with hardly any filling at all. You are better off going to Raley's Nextdoor and getting the same sandwich with twice the filling for half the cost. read more

Had the best sandwich ever! I ordered the garlic turkey on sourdough sandwich for dinner after work and picked it up. It has the perfect amount of everything- garlic flavor, aioli, red onion, tomato, pickles and cheese. It was so flavorful and let's discuss the bread. It was fresh, soft and chewy. We've dined at other Sourdough locations and have always been happy with the food. The sourdough bread is phenomenal and the meats are always fresh and tasty. We've dined twice at the Galt location and have not been disappointed. I must say that the staff is the friendliest and most helpful staff we have ever encountered. The management did a great job hiring and training the staff. It's so wonderful to see a business like this open in our little town. Keep it up WCS! OK! Tonight we are going to be ordering our 4th or 5th meal here and of course we are stuck on the French Dip cause it is too good! I've had it delivered twice and the last two times we've picked up the order. This store in particular is awesome! I put in an order for 70 sandwiches in three platters and a big salad. They were able to fulfill that order less than an hour. They told me they wouldn't be able to have it ready till 12 at the earliest, but I showed up a half hour early and it was already done, and they were already working on ringing it up when I walked in the door! Then they all helped me put it in the car. I was in and out of there in like five minutes. All the staff were friendly and professional. I wish my job allowed me to leave bigger tips. read more

This was my first time ordering from West Coast sourdough in Galt. I ordered the 8-in French dip with Swiss cheese no house sauce. What I first noticed when pulling my order out of the bag was a very stiff sandwich which made me wonder if it was going to be stale or hard. Luckily it wasn't the bread was a little firm but still had a nice sourdough flavor. However the roast beef did not have a whole lot of flavor with the exception of a little bit of an odd aftertaste. I ordered a catering cob salad from west coast sourdough yesterday and asked Navjot to take a picture for me so I could show how beautifully they make their salads look. Extremely appetizing. The service is great and they are always very accommodating with our needs. All of my coworkers love the sandwiches and salads there. We order almost everyday. Highly recommend everyone to come try their food. Guarantee you'll love it as much as I do. The experience dining in is amazing as well. Everyone makes you feel at home. Very calming, all employees really seem to enjoy their job, laughter fills the store up making everyone who walks through the door smile. Always greeting hello and goodbye. Don't hate me. It's my choice. And the clam chowder. I was shocked when I walked in. The three women behind the counter all took the time to either say welcome, hello or some type of greeting to many times walking into a store, and the employees are visiting instead of breaking their conversation to greet you will continue to talk And talk talk ignoring you only engaging in when they absolutely have to. This was not the case. They were very friendly and welcoming. The Greek salad was simply beautiful. My only complaint/regret ( I'll take some blame) I should've asked for extra dressing. The clam chowder was delicious, but didn't have a lot of ingredients /fillings so it's was more cream. read more

I always come here on a Saturday to have the soup of the day which is "Broccoli & Cheese"...in a bread bowl of course. I couldn't have it any other way..it's sooo good and oven baked fresh. There's no need to take a trip to San Francisco to have authentic sourdough. Save your money and come here instead!..On any other day I have their tuna sandwich which is the best in town...not even I can match it with my culinary skills at home. Once you eat here..your hooked for life by the way. If I had any suggestions to improve the experience..it would be to make the Broccoli & Cheese bread bowl available any day during the week. There are very few food choices in Galt, this place has steadily gone downhill. I ordered a Ceasar salad which is usually fabulous, but the croutons which I look forward to were inedible.
