Even had a superbly spooky (yet classy, lol) decoration plan ready to go before we even had our first tasting I tried quite a few bakeries before meeting Cristal; those everyone kept telling me were amazing and were the must-have vendors for weddings, blah blah. Yet, I just was not impressed. Couldn't understand why so many thought they were so wonderful - don't get me wrong, they were fine, but didn't knock my socks off. Figured I would just have to pick the best of those I tried, and hopefully, our guests thought it was great even if I personally did not. Then, I was lucky enough to find and meet Cristal - my hero Her dark chocolate cupcakes alone had me hooked! Perfectly moist, balanced flavors, didn't overcompensate with too much frosting (too many try to hide a not-so-great cake with icing IMO), superb deep chocolate taste - YUM YUM YUM! And it was beautiful to top it off, lol! Her brownie - OMG! And her macarons..... yes, please! Hired her on the spot, and I never questioned that decision along the way - I cannot say enough good things about her service and her delicious treats! We went over the details to ensure everyone was on the same page. Despite those conversations, my husband brought home a cake covered in plain white icing and completely wrong. On top of getting the wrong colors entirely, the actual decorating was remarkably mediocre, featuring sloppy flowers and basic "dot" piping around the outside. Given the low quality of the finish, I have no idea how this baker has ever competed professionally. When I called the shop just one hour after pickup to explain the mistake and share my disappointment, the customer service was awful. The young person who answered placed me on speakerphone, where I could clearly hear the baker in the background refusing to take any responsibility. They offered no resolution, no willingness to remake the cake, and no middle path forward--just a complete lack of accountability. Mistakes happen, but refusing to own up to them or help a customer when you completely mess up an order is unacceptable. Save yourself the stress and take your business elsewhere. What an absolute waste.

Unfortunately, on Saturday evening they must stop making cookies and when people place an order for specific items instead of saying the can't fulfill the order, they just throw whatever they have in a box.
