I initially had the transmission replaced on my 2015 ford focus in 2022, ordered the part to the shop and had my car towed there. Was back on the road in less than a week. Since then I've reached out several times for various mechanical inquiries (if you've driven or owned a focus you know my pain) and Aldo has always replied quickly, gotten me on the schedule and back driving with no check engine light ASAP. I was called an hour later that i failed the inspection because "my back glass was too dark" then offered to remove the back windshield tint for a fee which i found laughable because: 1: He could have told me from the start that my back windshield was too dark before taking my money 2: I never heard anyone complain about back windshield being too dark 3: Offered to remove it for me for $100 The guy was extremely rude and when i took my complaint to the owner, he basically sent me away. So i took the same car out of anger to another place for the same inspection and passed it with no issue.

One of the employees I dealt with was consistently rude and unprofessional, which only made the experience more frustrating. If you're considering taking your vehicle there, I would encourage you to do your research first. In my case, choosing the cheaper option ended up costing me months of wasted time. As the saying goes, you often get what you pay for.

Estimate: the estimate was accurate (billed actually a few bucks less) and about a third of what another mechanic (big auto repair chain) had quoted. Time of repair: both times, the car was done within 24 hrs from drop off. Joe was extremely nice and accommodating. I was helping out my boyfriend and didn't mind the extra coordination steps with me after he talked to my significant other. Also, he stuck to what he quoted and the scope of work agreed upon (ladies, you know how mechanics always try to take advantage of us). We will definitely come back here!

I couldn't afford it and besides the amount and the nature of the proposed repairs seemed rather extraordinary so I went to Joe at BSM for a second opinion. He told me to leave my car and he'd call me to tell me what was wrong and give me an estimate. 3 hours later he called - $150 parts and labor to change a valve. Of course I told him to go ahead and drove the car without any major problems for 5 more years until I donated it to charity. Joe is a rare mechanic - He is HONEST. He will also lecture you (He told me off last month for missing oil changes on my new car) if you don't take care of your car and tell you what you need to do. One star off because he does not take credit cards - cash or check only and definitely cash only for amounts under $100.
