I…read moream an Automotive Technician with over 35 years of experience and allowed my wife to take her BMW to Family auto care due to my lack of specialized diagnostic equipment, I expected they would make the repairs my wife asked for, but they found a problem with the drive shaft flex joint and quoted a repair of around $1200 and without her consulting me she agreed to the repair having faith in there service from references of others. I visited the shop when she picked her vehicle up and I asked to see the old part, they supplied the old part and when asked what was wrong with it they said it had cracks in it, I guess they expected me to agree with there diagnostics but it clearly could have gone at least another 150,000 miles based on the condition it was in. this diagnostic would be like telling you to replace your 40,000 mile tires in 5000 miles. The service writer said your wife approved it and I gasped, you think my wife has a clue if they were selling her a repair she did not need. they apparently are not your advacate but are relying on you just agreeing with them and taking it, after all its not their money. To get an accurate understanding of how dishonest and predatory this business is particularly when it comes to women sort the reviews by looking at the lowest reviews. On Sunday, I had my vehicle towed to this shop. My AC had stopped working and after driving for sometime fumes started coming from the front of the car and liquids were dripping from the bottom of the car. When my car got brought in, I called and explained exactly that. They told me it would cost about $67 to do a diagnosis of the issue. The next day, Tim called me and said the issue is my radiator and I needed to replace the radiator. He told me the total cost would be $764. I told him I would call back because I wanted to get a second opinion. I wanted to get a second opinion because this past December I brought my car in to them because my AC/ heater was not working. Then I paid them over $600. Now six months later I was having the same issues. Because I couldn't move the car to another mechanic, I contacted a mobile mechanic. In my messages to the mobile mechanic I said the same thing that I told this business. My AC stopped working and the car started fuming. In the end, I could not coordinate a time with the mobile mechanic due to work, so I decided to go with Myers. The next day I called them to okay the service. Tim now quotes $849, instead of the $764 he originally told me. I explained to him that was not the price he quoted me before. I wrote the price down, but he lied and said it was what he told me. I negotiated the price to $813 because I just wanted my car fixed. I okayed the service after he assured me he did a diagnostic and the issues would be fixed. Of course, I'm thinking the AC would also be fixed. When they called me to say the car is ready. My sister goes to pick up the car and had me on facetime. The very first thing I asked her to do was to check the AC before paying. LO AND BEHOLD THE AC WAS NOT FIXED. When I brought this issue up. They lied that I never mentioned the issue with my AC. We are in the peak of the summer, Why would I not mention my AC not working??? Also, why would I mention it to the mobile mechanic (see my screenshots) and not mention it to Myers, the people who have my car and are fixing my car???? Instead of them admitting their error. They tried to charge me an additional $1000 to fix the AC talking about there is an issue with the AC compressor. So they wanted me to pay a total of $1800!!!! They are ridiculous. Of course I contested this. I called Neil Myers the owner to resolve the issue cordially. To my surprise he started yelling at me and threatening me that "he knows my type" and that if I don't pay in cash I will not get my car. It was so TRAUMATIZING. I never had a business owner speak to me like that, especially when it is THEIR ERROR. The way he spoke to me I was scared because like I said my younger sister was there alone. So I immediately left work to go there myself. Then Brandon (Myers??) got involved and again instead of rectifying the situation and admitting their error also lied that I never told them. So he called me stating the call is being recorded. Then it was clear he was trying to create a recording to cover themselves legally. He also tried to tell me that I needed to pay in cash or certified check before they release my car. I called them out that it is against the law if it was not previously disclosed to the customer. In the end, I paid $749, instead of $813 because Brandon said he would give me a "discount". I found it laughable that he thought that would be sufficient to rectify the fact that I paid $749 to "fix" a radiator that is sold on amazon for less than $99 and my AC is still not working. I don't recommend this business to anyone. Also by the way the positive reviews are doctored. As a first time customer they will harass you for days to leave a review, which I am assuming why so many people feel compelled to leave these 4 star reviews. But trust me don't patronize this business!

I had used Myers years ago for minor repairs and was always treated well and was satisfied with their work, this time was totally different. When I took my vehicle in they did the diagnostic gave me the results and I gave them permission to make the repairs. my vehicle was there for more than a week when I picked my car up and drove approximately five miles my engine light came on and the car started backfiring and shut off I was able to get off the highway. I waited 10 to 15 minutes and the car finally started. once I got home, I called the shop they gave me every excuse in the book as to what was happening to the car. My vehicle was in and out of their service department for more than three months. to make a long story short, my vehicle was at Myers for a total of three or four months, I paid over two thousand dollars and my vehicle still is not running. The last thing I had replaced was my fuel pump. At the present time every light on my panel is on. I am eighty one years old living on a fixed incom, this has been very frustrating and I wouldn't recommend Myers to my family or friend as a matter of fact I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. Each time has been non-eventful. I'm a meticulous individual, and I am always afraid of being on the receiving end of rim damage when getting my tires changed but have never had an issue. I was apprehensive about having them change my Model S tires because you have to put the vehicle in "jack mode" from the touch screen to turn off the air suspension and you need to use "lifting pucks" to lift the car under the side rails. It's not complicated, you just have to know what you're doing. I honestly printed the instructions out - and gave them a copy - and went over the process with a mechanic before handing the car over and everything went great. I also brought my own lifting pucks just to be safe. I appreciated everybody listening to my concern, even though I'm sure they would have been fine. But, you know, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Good pricing, great people, I definitely recommend them.
