Every corner had a nod to rhythm and history--vinyl records in the sidewalk, chimes on the bridge, even the playground looked like it was mid-song. It's more than a park--it's a tribute to community and culture, loud and proud. A little scruffy in spots, sure, but full of soul.

Came on an early Friday afternoon so it was busy but not overwhelmingly so. Lots of age ranges (ours was the littlest but the big kids were very respectful) and so many fun water features that cater to a wide array of ages and comfort levels. Very clean and well cared for with plenty of shady picnic tables adjacent to the splash pad. Once we finished getting soaked (parents who need to be near their little one, note you will absolutely get drenched) we tried off in the playground which was also top notch. Lots of cool features and again, clean and cared for. When we needed a break from the sunny swings, there were more shaded picnic tables next to a huge grassy field. The charcoal grills are also huge. You could spend a whole day here, easy. I can't wait to come back for more fun memories!

Still even on the weekends the park never seems to be over crowded. Even in the heat of summer the water features next to the playground are in use but not swarmed. Lots of nice businesses nearby you can walk to so a great location all around. Certainly one of the premier parks in the local area.

Only a few trashcans unfortunately. Otherwise it's a nice park for a quiet morning or weekend to get out with your dog or kids. The park isn't fenced in but the basketball area is all fenced in. Brought a dog here and we played fetch off leash with no issues. Couple of squirrels and a few rabbits at times. Otherwise it's just a park when baseball games are not going on. Think if you live nearby you'd walk over often. Wouldn't go out of the way just to come to the park though.

The layout is well thought out where the play structures for big kids are separated from those for the little tots. Dave B said it jacks up property values. I suppose that is true as proximity to this park was a definite plus when my wife and I were considering the purchase of our nearby home. No seriously, every block there seems to be paws crossing the paths with other fur kid paws and dog moms/dads! This area surrounded with lots of young millennials and their pawsionate fur-babies. Jefferson Park is a neighborhood and public park that overlooks Downtown Denver, Colorado from its perch across Interstate 25. It is located in the area that is called North Denver! the City of Highlands was annexed, and thereafter was known as "North Denver."

You'll also spot an army of dogs out for their morning walk, and atop the hill sits a cool playground that must get busy in the afternoons. The water lilies were one of my favorites but I also appreciated the cactus exhibit, a little throwback to my desert dwelling days! We also got an ice cream cup at the Hive cafe which really hit the spot and revived me personally after having walked around for an hour or so in the sweltering heat. We last minute decided to visit Denver. We bought a…read moreGroupon CityPass and visited 2 places today and will go to 2 tomorrow. An overall straight path through the part, but with small offshoots where you can take the road less travelled. There were art installations, food in the middle, lots of flowers, a Japanese garden, and lots of places to sit in the shade and enjoy nature in relative peace and quiet. We also found out that members get a special fob to enter through the entrance at the back. Spiffy!
