Denver Botanic Gardens is amazing! I think you could come back every month, maybe every week, and see something new or different. Plan for at least 1.5 hours to walk through all the areas. You could easily spend much longer! If I was a local, I would visit often and bring a book. Bonus points for free parking.

Was in town on a small family vacation and I'm sure glad that my sister n law put this on our list to see. Was a pretty warm day but we all enjoyed the walk around and then enjoyed the indoor tropical section which was really amazing. If you are a plant lover or just want somewhere peaceful to get alway from everyday life I would recommend taking a stroll thru this botanic gardens when your are in town or have never been for those of you who live in the area.

Few things like tropical greenhouse area was very nice but a lot of outdoors stuff is either under renovation, dead or closed off. Most water features are not operational. Koi fish is floating belly up in stagnant water. It's disappointing to see that level of neglect .

I visited the Denver Botanic Gardens at the end of December for the Blossoms of Light! Tickets were $33, which is around what I would expect. Unfortunately it was a very cold night and we only ended up staying for an hour but that was enough time to walk the gardens and see all the light displays. It was very well done! Looking forward to coming back during the day to check the gardens out again.

One of my favorite things to do when visiting a city is to check out their botanical gardens. Denver's gardens were spectacular! The grounds are impeccably maintained and the signage makes it easy to find your way around. The fee is somewhat reasonable, compared to other cities.

Denver Botanic Gardens is... truly a special place. I won't spoil too much of the surprise with photos, but... know you're getting what you're paying for. :)

I love the Denver Botanic Gardens as the city's beautiful, little backyard. Between the actual gardens and landscaping, the annual programming, the lights festival, the concerts, the art shows, the plant sale, the lectures and opportunities to volunteer, the gardens really shine as all the best Denver has to offer! I've had a membership there for years. I enjoy meeting friends for a lovely afternoon. I enjoy taking picnics. I like that it's a quiet space but feels so vibrant and alive. I sometimes go there for my computer work, just to have a change of scenery, get out of my home office, breathe some outside air. It's a great space to think, to get ideas... ya kinda bloom... yeah, I went there!

    Forget-Me-Not, I think.

Lovely place to spend time in but skip the cafe; the food is dire and the employees can't make espresso drinks to save their lives. ;D Go there for the plants and nature; for the peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, to take pictures, to learn about plants, or just to relax in the most fantastic "park" in the city. Highly recommended... except for the cafe. ;)

I love the Denver Botanic Gardens. Between the year round events (music, yoga, plant sale, and holiday lights!) there is always something going on here. You can nerd out on botany, or go for a relaxing walk. Over the last couple of years they've also made a number of improvements and I continue to enjoy exploring the newer areas. (The Japanese garden section and the bonsais will always be my favorite though.) It's a great place for a casual picnic date, and I love to bring out of towners here as well. Truly my only complaint is that I wish I lived closer, so I would remember to meander by more often. (I forget to fully use my membership sometimes.) p.s. The holiday lights this year felt extra special. You can tell they went all out for the 40th anniversary and the various settings and musical performances were captivating. I'm actually going a second time in January, and I'm looking forward to it!

I'd probably give them closer to a 3.5 for now but that's just from the water and animals in there. The water is all stagnant so there is half decomposed and floating dead fish all over. It just feels cruel, if they can't take care of the fish and animals they just shouldn't have them in there. The tropical part that had the orchids was really nice and you can tell the flowers are well maintained. It's a cute botanical garden but they could do better, and probably do, do better in the spring summer months.

Wow, even in the winter the gardens are a pretty spectacular spot! We were lucky enough to have a free tour and it was so fun! The weather is certainly making things confusing for the poor plants- lots of bulbs coming up flower!!

The Denver Botanic Gardens is outstanding. This 23-acre park located in the Cheesman Park neighborhood of Denver boasts 7 diverse gardens and also has rotating art shows. During our visit, there was a Bonsai show with locals showcasing their Bonsai trees. The grounds are so gorgeous. It's no wonder there were three different weddings taking place on the day we were there. The different gardens are all so unique and provide such beautiful backdrops. There's just something so gorgeous about the grounds. There are plenty of places to sit amongst the grounds and just breath and relax. There are interactives and it's a great place for both kids and adults. Visiting the Botanic Garden is definitely a worthwhile experience while in Denver.

Stunning gardens that I had forgot to write a review about when I was here a little bit ago. The staff here was wonderful, getting us checked in for our time slot to see the gardens of light during the holiday season. It is a gorgeous walk through the gardens with them being all decked out with thousands of Christmas lights on everything! Being able to see some of these gorgeous plants all decked out was gorgeous and the amount of photos I took was crazy! The entire place was very clean and well kept. I love that they had some staff members walking around to answer any questions that I had when it came to some information about the plants here. There is a little kiosk in the middle of the gardens that sells snacks and drinks. I opted for a hot cider and it was heavenly. It had the perfect amount of sweetness to it and wasn't too hot so I was able to enjoy it as I walked the grounds. Many different little paths are here as well but a couple were blocked off due to the event so I will have to check them out next time I visit the gardens in the future!

It is a five acre garden spot inspired by the Gardens of Versailles. The gardens is a marriage of France and Colorado where native drought tolerant plants grow in a France inspired Botanical garden. From my experience, Centennial Gardens is worth the visit when it is combined with another point of interest. It's downtown location makes this simple. It is located off the South Platte River Trail. This garden spot borders Elitch Gardens Amusement Park. Pepsi Center stands a couple hundred feet south to the south. It was the South Platte River Trail that led us here. It was a short walk across the river from the REI Starbuck's where we were chillaxing. Approaching the gardens from the trail, I saw a cast iron black fence. The first time we hiked on the South Platte River Trail we passed over stopping by. If I decided to have passed over stepping inside the gardens, I would have seen the whole park from the Platte River Trail. In want of an entrance at the South Platte River Trail, we walked along the edge of the east periphery to the south where a sidewalk led into the columns that bordered the entrance. We had the gardens to ourselves. The majority of my visit was spent chillaxing on a bench near by a water feature and touring the walking paths while taking pictures. If you are into photography as I am, Botanical gardens are photo magic. As the picture collection below shows, I enjoyed photographing the urban landmarks that blended in with the picturesque flowers. The nearby Elitch Gardens Observation Tower truly captured the photo magic of Centennial Gardens. The 200 foot tall landmark blended in magnificently with the water feature. It blended even nicer with a bed of blooming flowers that created the illusion that the Observation Tower grew out of the flower bed. In the heart of this five acre Gardens of Versailles-inspired Botanical Gardens , the patterns of walkways and flowerbeds captured the architecture of the nearby Speer Boulevard Bridge. Then by the north periphery facing south the gardens shared a sensational vista with the Denver skyline and Pepsi Center. In the closing paragraph, I would like to reemphasize that Centennial Gardens is worth a visit with another point of interest. From the perspective of somebody who loves the great outdoors I suggest combining it with Denver's Great outdoors as a stopover off the South Platte River Trail. Finally, please bring your camera.
