I signed up to be taken care of for all of my medical needs, especially my chronic illnesses. When you request help. They label you negatively and discuss your personal information with all the staff, so that you can be judged and made feel uncomfortable. THEY HAVE a rotation of doctors because they cannot seem to keep doctors and most do not speak English fully and cannot translate your medical situation or condition into English. Some of them didn't even know how to work the computer program prior to my visits. When you need consent care from 1 provider, they change again! And when I spoke to the director to discuss my issues, her advice was, and I quoted her, "Well, maybe this clinic is not for you. " I totally agree with her ! So, if you're bilingual, and speak mostly English, and want your medical information, and your records, and the people that you speak to, especially medical doctors, to give you the information in English, so that you can understand it better. This is not the clinic for you. Not the Tamarac clinic anyway! Also, the specialist they send you only goes to some of the other clinics once a month, so if you have a chronic condition and need to be taken care of immediately. You have to wait or go to the ER and even go without the medication you need. They cover up their lack of medical care with sweet treats, parties, lunch, and bingo. That is not going to help manage all my illnesses! So disappointing! If you are someone that does not speak English and wants to be pampered with trinkets, lunch, bingo and BS AND REALLY HAVE NOWHERE ELSE TO GO BECAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION. But somehow due to some unforeseen circumstances, we were denied at first. After pleading with the staff we were then allowed to get the blood work done. When I called back, the office was already closed. I have been a patient with this center for over 30yrs., and started my care with Dr. Sam Lerman. Due to all the changes of personnel being fired, leaving or retiring I was subsequently transferred to Dr. McDonald. I saw him 3xs and was not happy with his care. He kept me waiting for over an hour the last time I saw him. That's why on July 30th, I requested that my care be transferred back to Dr. Lerman. This was all confirmed and I received several annoying electronic and phone messages confirming my appt with Dr. Lerman prior to their cancellation on Aug 12. Communication with this office has been consistently difficult. While the website lists business hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, getting anyone to answer the phone during those times is nearly impossible, and their after-hours answering service center advised that the office does not open until 8:30 AM. Despite leaving countless phone and text messages I never got a call back. I finally reached someone at 9:30 AM, I was given conflicting excuses: first, that Dr. Lerman was overbooked, and then that my appointment was not scheduled for enough time. Ultimately, Dr. Lerman refused to see me, because he did not want to accept the transfer of care, even though Dr. McDonald works for him!! A total waste of my time. I eventually spoke in person with the new Office Manager, Christina, who apologized and acknowledged the severe handling errors. She admitted that their website information is inaccurate, promised to personally assist me in rescheduling with another doctor, and assured me she would call me back. I never received that follow-up call. Due to this pattern of poor communication and unprofessionalism, I am no longer a patient at this practice.
