Whatever happened deserves its own documentary because this place is now giving portal to purgatory. My husband and I came in on a Wednesday because of a foot injury. All he needed was an X ray and someone to look at it. We spent FIVE HOURS there, and the only medical treatment he received was having his vitals taken. They brought us to the back to wait for a doctor and then seemingly deleted us from the system. Three different nurses came over at different times, asked for his name, called him by the wrong name, and then asked, "Why are you still here? We haven't seen you?" FUN FACT... I'm wondering the same thing. WHY ARE WE STILL HERE?! After about three hours of this fever dream, they moved us to the "FastTrack" area, which I can only assume was named as a joke. We then sat there for another TWO HOURS while everyone collectively forgot we existed. Again. Meanwhile, two nurses were openly talking about how badly they wanted to go home. At that point we looked at each other and said, "You know what? We don't want to be here either, girl," and walked out. Now here's where it somehow gets even better. TWO HOURS AFTER WE LEFT, they called us to ask if we were still there. I'm sorry... what? At that point I wasn't sure whether to laugh or congratulate everyone involved on creating the most immersive escape room experience in New York. Honestly, you're probably better off going to CityMD, MedRite, or asking the guy at your local bodega for a second opinion. At least someone will acknowledge your existence. I'm genuinely convinced this place is run by NYU's psychology department as a social experiment to see how much absurdity people will tolerate before they completely lose it. I wish I were kidding.

Their insurance/billing department isn't the best. Some procedures require approval from your insurance which is understandable. The problem is that they'll tell you they'll call you once insurance approves so we can proceed and they never call you back. You would give them enough time to then call them and either things have already been approved or, they have not started the process. The receptionist lady is passive aggressive when asked certain questions regarding this. I get it, she's probably tired of this but also, it's not the patient's fault either. We're here in PAIN and it seems like they let work sit and wait for the patient to call so they could move on it. Everywhere else I go, they'll contact my insurance for approval and turnaround is usually about 2 days max but here, about a week, two weeks and ever longer. At one of my visits the lady receptionist didn't check me in till 45 minutes after my arrival and good thing the doctor noticed and was on it. Yesterday morning I called them because again, waiting for insurance to approve pain injections. The receptionist was passive aggressive and sighing as if this was my fault and said she'll speak to the doctor about it and hung up on me after. I had told her I would like to get this done by this week since I will have another insurance and that probably won't kick in till a couple of weeks or who knows how long and here I am IN PAIN because the meds given to me or PT hasn't been making any improvements with my issue. I also remember several times patients calling them saying they never received a callback from them regarding anything the office had to reach out to them. Receptionist would claim they did call but it's interesting the pattern of several people saying the same thing which makes me believe the patients and plus, here I am finding myself being on top of them as if I work there. I have not received any calls from the office and at this point I don't even feel like calling them and dealing with the receptionist while am in PAIN so decided to write this review so others could be aware of things that may happen when visiting this place. UPDATE: 2 days after leaving my review. I have not received a call from anyone at this office. I decided to call my insurance and they told me they just received the request from them today and they approved it right away for me to get my injection shots for my PAIN. I called their office and told them I have not heard back from them and the receptionist placed me on hold and came back asking me what time tomorrow I would like to go it. My theory was right all along about this place. The leave the patient's information just laying on their desk and do nothing about it unless you call in and they'll blame insurance or anyone else to cover up their actions. Thankfully because I was on top of them, I'll be able to get my shots before my current insurance ends. To say the least, this shows lack of consideration and is also HORRIBLE on their part given the circumstances patient's are enduring and the trust they give them.

I'm writing this review with the hopes It can be a step toward making sure others don't experience the same treatment, and even prompt this facility to reassess their practices. I arrived on 10/28 at 2:42 PM for my 2:45 PM appointment to see Dr. Mann for the progressively worsening pain in my neck/ back / shoulder/ elbow & both hands . I promptly filling out the required paperwork and returning it to the receptionist, I was asked to wait. After waiting for approximately 15 min, I approached the receptionist to ask if Dr. Mann was running on time. I was assured that he was and was told to continue waiting. Ten min later, I inquired again and received the same response. At 3:17 PM, I was finally brought to an exam room, where an assistant took my blood pressure, which was noticeably high. I asked how high, she said 167 over (and I didn't hear the rest).I waited an additional 10 min. in the exam room before I returned to the receptionist area to inquire about the delay. One receptionist was kind enough to check on the doctor and informed me that he was on his way. I was taken to a different Room by the lovely male assistant. I'm guessing Dr. Mann finally received my paperwork as he had questions which he asked the male assistant to ask me. The assistant walked back and forth 2 times to deliver my responses to him. I had to ask, why did he not just come into the room and ask me these questions in person. When Dr. Mann did enter the room, there was NO apology or acknowledgment of the long wait. Instead, his demeanor was brusque and unwelcoming, which made me feel as if my time and health concerns were inconsequential. Rather than addressing my questions directly, he seemed annoyed, and when I mentioned the delay, he dismissed my concern by saying, "No one goes to a doctor and be seen at the exact appointment time." He further went on to insisted he was not late as I was taken into the exam room and seen By who! the assistant who ONYL took my blood pressure while texting on her phone. Additionally, despite my elevated blood pressure, he neither acknowledged it nor offered further guidance, which left me feeling as though my health was not being taken seriously. How could you allow a patient to leave with elevated blood pressure levels. He then said there are other patients he was seeing. Fine, not an issue. I was just asking to be communicated with. I told him he had poor bedside manners and it went even more left. He even told me I'm not making the situation any better. I asked how long will this visit take as he was 45 min late. He then insisted again he was NOT late and with an attitude stated "as long as I wanted it to" Pardon, how do you tell a patient that. This interaction ended after two minutes. He stormed out the exam room left me behind & headed directly to the front desk and stated abruptly "she can leave". As a health care professional we take an oath to do no harm. Waiting for so long without updates, feeling dismissed, and dealing with a lack of empathy can make a difficult situation so much harder. Healthcare providers should show compassion, professionalism, and respect and no one should have to leave an appointment feeling worse than when they arrived. For me it was the lack of communication and empathy from that initial receptionist and doctor. I think it's perfectly reasonable to expect both timely care and basic courtesy, and neither of these should be compromised, especially in a healthcare setting. I think we all deserve a healthcare provider who prioritizes not only our physical health but also treats you with the respect and compassion every patient deserves.
