I would like to tell everyone what an amazing experience I had with Memory Lane Estate Sales. My mother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and my sister was her caretaker, my sister passed away in May and I the only child left had to take charge. I live in Chicago my Family home was in Belton Mo and I had no references or any knowledge of where to start. I found Memory Lane Estates Sales on the Internet, first one I saw near our home so Icalled. I spoke with Joe, I told him my situation and told him I had no idea what to do or where to start and he answered all of my questions. I spoke to Joe several times with questions of what to do next and never even had a contract with him and he answered every question I had. When it came down to it other estate sale companies told me that I did not have enough for a full complete estate sale. What did Joe do, he stepped in and said I told you from the beginning I would help you out and that's what he did he came looked at our home And offered us a dollar that was very generous. It really helped at those final days when I was very stressed out and trying to complete this project of getting the house emptied out, fixed and ready to put on the market. By the time it came time for me to go back to Chicago to get back to my job the comfort level I had with Joe allowed me to leave with no worries or concerns that I was not in good hands. I highly, highly recommend Memory Lane Estate Sale , Joe and his wife are not only in the business for money but they are definitely there to support the family. I gave them a five star rating and I hope that if you find yourself in a position where you cannot be there at all times or are not from the area that you can reach out to this company and have Joe as your representative. Joe and Brandy were absolutely wonderful during the most difficult time in my sister and my life. We lost both parents within 9 weeks of each other. I live out of town and wasn't sure how we were going to go through 50+ years of household items. My sister and I needed the services of an estate sale company at one of the hardest times in our lives. We had recently lost our mom to cancer, having lost our dad eight years prior, and we were tasked with going through a large home with 35 years of our cherished family memories. The first few companies we consulted did not feel we had enough "high dollar" items to make it a valuable use of their time and energy, and they were gracious about explaining that. But we were getting worried about the emotional and physical toll it was going to take to go through all of those belongings and try to sell them ourselves or donate, when we were still grieving. Joe agreed to come to the house and see what was there, and he said he would be able to help us. From the moment we signed the contract with Joe, we felt an enormous weight off our shoulders. The team at Memory Lane worked so hard to clean, stage, and price the items, and Joe treated us with the utmost respect and compassion given our situation. If I could have put negative stars I would have. The company says they are a family owned business, I think they should find a different family to run it. The employees were rude. Trying to over charge for items. We forgot something there last night we went back this morning they had said we took it with us just to find out they had sold it! I've been to at least 2 estate sales in the Lake Ozark area which Memory Lane had been hired to conduct. Both were well organized with prices clearly marked on items for sale. There was no confusion as to what was or was not for sale. Memory Lane Estate Sales' personnel were welcoming, friendly, professional, knowledgeable & did an excellent job of keeping the owner's property secure during the sales.
