Now it's time to talk money and I meet Ben, the co-owner and main sales force. The vehicle seemed to need a couple minor things to help make me comfortable with the purchase, and these were done, WITH a LOANER car, thanks to Ben. Dave at the front counter is Ben's right hand man, and very capable. Every employee I bumped into or interacted with at Gateway was at minimum professional, and as I understand it they are all ASE certified! Between them all, the agreed minor repairs were completed, my full smile installed, deal struck. A good deal. In closing, now many hundreds of miles later, my vehicle is running and behaving perfectly. I bought this at a fair price and Dave and Ben did what they said they would do, and did so respectfully and promptly. They handed me information NO used car seller would ever do, and kept their promises. I would not recommend anyone buy a used vehicle before looking at what Gateway has to offer. I'vr contacted Ford Motor Company, they were no help. Quart by quart, I've added four cases of oil to my car, until the engine finally failed. My mechanic performed a compression check on the engine and declared the engine dead. I had a shop in town install a used engine in my car with a comparable number of miles to the failed engine at a cost of over $4k. I've given Woodhouse 1 star, only because zero was not an option. My car had no mechanical issues, burned no oil, until I took it there to replace the water pump. There's a reason Woodhouse has under 4 stars. I wish I had checked YELP first.

Based on that representation, I expected the vehicle to be in reasonably good condition. Unfortunately, when the vehicle was delivered, I quickly discovered several significant issues that should have been identified during any legitimate inspection. The radiator needed to be replaced, the manifold needed replacement, the seat belts would not properly retract, three of the four headlights were burned out, the horn did not work, and there was an exhaust leak, along with several other problems. These were not minor cosmetic issues--they were problems affecting the vehicle's safety, functionality, and reliability. What makes this especially frustrating is that these issues existed despite being told the vehicle had already been inspected. Had these problems been disclosed upfront, I could have made an informed decision about whether to proceed with the purchase or negotiate repairs before the sale. I understand that used vehicles can have issues, but I expect honesty and transparency from a seller. In my opinion, the condition of the vehicle did not match the representations that were made prior to the sale. I am sharing my experience so that other buyers can make an informed decision and have any inspection claims independently verified. Based on my experience, I would not purchase another vehicle from Rob or his company, and I cannot recommend them to others.

I've been taking my cars in over the last 2-3 years, but have recently started having my oil changed here as well. I don't want to deal with the up-selling of unnecessary air filters, belts, hoses, pads and other items I probably don't need. I also don't like being charged a "diagnostic fee" when you're just looking under the hood. Tom and Jim are down-to-earth guys who run an honest shop. No hassles, appropriately priced and worth the trip to their tucked away location.

In my opinion, they are using inferior quality brake rotors and hoping they last long enough to get…read morepast the warranty period. Here's why: Got front brake pads and rotors installed. A few months later, I had a pretty bad vibration in the front end. They diagnosed it as a warped rotor, turned both front rotors and everything was fine. A few more months later, the vibration came back. They diagnosed it again as a warped rotor and replaced both front rotors this time because they could not be turned again. Another month went by and guess what, the vibration was back. This time they said the rotors "looked fine" and it was a loose tie rod end. They replaced the tire rod end and did an alignment. As I was paying for it, the mechanic brought out my keys and said there was still vibration, but I needed to buy higher quality rotors, maybe titanium. So at least one of the rotors that "looked fine" was still warped. They chose the rotors that were installed. I was not asked, nor given an option for higher quality. This is a midsize SUV, not a high-performance vehicle that would need titanium rotors. So now I still have a warped rotor and I'm gonna have to pay somebody else to do a brake job with quality parts. Never going back.
