I have a 2001 Mercedes ML320. My mechanic for 15 years passed away a couple of years ago. He was phenomenal and I haven't found anyone to replace him...until now. They charge out the ass first of all, then they have terrible customer service, when it got there they were yelling at me because they couldn't roll my window up. It took them over a month to fix a my fuel pump, then charged me over $1,900 for it even after giving them the main pump part... and in that month my car gained bad rust underneath. Then I put my Cars Manual on the passenger seat Incase they needed to use it, but its must MYSTERIOUSLY gone missing and they deny using or taking it. If you want someone who knows about Saabs go here, but if you want charged out the ass then this is the place. there are many other mechanics that will do it cheaper. read more

My 2007 Saab 95 Aero broke a stud on the exhaust manifold and was getting very noisy. I brought the car in for diagnostic and repair. Kris took a look and called me with the news and price for repairs. Picked it up a few days later, paid exactly the price quoted and viola perfect. Kris and Katrina were very pleasant to work with and I am very happy with the experience at European Motors. Scheduled work for a few more maintenance items already. Several years ago I took my SAAB convertible for repairs. They required half the estimated price up front. I do not remember the price, let's say $1000 so I gave them $500. When my car was ready I signed the card without looking at it and, when I got home, found I had been charged $1000 instead of the remaining $500. No biggie, mistakes are made. I called and Katrina did not seem happy about this and the issue took a bit to resolve. Eventually, she unhappily refunded the $500. I found out yesterday that I have been BLACKBALLED from the shop, apparently because of the overpay issue. More importantly, Chris did not do this, KATRINA DID. Chris is very good at his job and very nice guy, but don't piss off Katrina, whether she is in the wrong or not. Now I have to ship my car to either Des Moines or Kansas City. read more

I've been going to Chris for years. Bought several SAABs and one BMW from him. Good cars and felt good buying them because he thoroughly checks them out. Repairs aren't cheap, but they've always been necessary and he takes the time too explain why something needs repair or replacement. He'll often suggest a used part for a non--critIcal system, like a window lift, tail light, etc. For his "bedside" manner, he's running a business! Talk to anyone in the trades and they'll tell you how often people want free advice, or "Can ya fix that widget while you're doing other work?" I've had work done at other shops in town: Chris's work is outstanding and his prices are, over time, right down the middle, sometimes higher, sometimes lower, but always done right. read more

There Should me a ZERO star option. Not only is Chris not a nice person, but he is overpriced. I was a loyal customer of European Motors for over a year. When I first met Chris and Katrina I thought they were nice, honest small business owners. I ignored the negative reviews on Google and other sites. I wrote the reviews off as anomalies. I wish I would have listened to the warnings. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars on maintenance and repairs. I trusted Chris to diagnose and work my car, much to my regret. I overpaid on everything he did (some of it unnecessary). After my visit on December 8, 2016 (a couple weeks after spending nearly $800 there), Chris answered my questions with contempt and malice. EXTREMELY RUDE is an understatement. It was the last time I will ever do business with them. PLEASE trust me when I say, DO NOT GO HERE! Read the other reviews on Google. Honestly? F**k this guy. I don't post many reviews on Yelp but I came straight home to let y'all know about Chris. I called European Motors a week or so ago to ask them about a potential BMW project I was going to need some work done on. The lady referred me to Chris who I assume is the owner and head mechanic. Chris never called me back so I thought I'd go down there and check the place out and talk shop with him and get some advice on the car I am considering acquiring. I wasn't looking for a price quote only his advice and thoughts. I was basically interviewing him as my potential mechanic and project partner. He walked in and said he couldn't give me a price unless I had the car. I said I didn't have the car and didn't even want a price just to ask a few questions. Again he went back to price and that he couldn't provide me anything. At this point I had not even described the vehicle. I said, "Can I at least tell you about the car?" I told him the make and model and that the engine had been swapped and he immediately turned around and said I have no interest in working on your car and bolted out of the office back to the garage. What a f***king asshole. Like dude, if you don't want to work on the project because you're too busy or whatever then that's fine or if you think it's a terrible idea to acquire something like that cool but how about you act like a small business owner who's talking to a potential customer and treat me accordingly? Apparently he's just too busy and important to bother with me. I don't care if this guy is the European motorcar whisperer I'll never go back there nor will I recommend him to anyone I know. This place is both slow and expensive. Far from what you want in a repair shop. I'd even suggest they have not great business practices. Don't trust them. My experience? I took my Range Rover Sport in to be fixed for a coolant leak. First, it took 2 full days for Chris to even call me with an estimate. It seriously takes a half hour to find the leak. I could do that. Then, he provides me an outrageous estimate/quote ($3,000+) to replace 7 parts. And he says it will take another full week to do the work. I pulled the vehicle from their shop. I called and took it to another place. They assessed it in a hour, and fixed it in a day. It cost $800, and that includes me changing a belt, too. So, simple math -- $3,000 and a week of waiting, or $800 and a day. You choose. read more

Like many, I also ignored the negative reviews and wrote them off as anomalies. Unfortunately, they were EXTREMELY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, and CONDESCENDING. Most of the good reviews must be fake. So I called the day before to have them work on my car and they said that they could take a look at it the next day. So I told them I would call back as soon as I get a tow set up. The next day I get a tow and I called them as a courtesy that my car would be there in 30 min. They said absolutely not, they have no space, things changed (no explanation), and they could not work on it for another few weeks (and that they could not store it inside or outside the building). They were not able to offer a simple explanation or apology all while being very nasty. They said I needed to make an appointment to bring the car in, but when we spoke the day before she made no mention that an appointment was required (only that they could look at it the next day). Their website evens says "Walk-ins are welcome but we encourage a phone call first". Clearly, they do not care about their reputation and customers. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! After not calling me back for a week I finally got through to them only to be told he did not want to work on my car ('95 Jaguar XJS) as it was too difficult for him and not worth his time. I have a 08 Sprinter RV. I was looking for a independent Sprinter Service Repair Shop, not the Mercedes Dealership. I have asked other Sprinter Van owners where they take their Sprinter for service. I checked out several of the suggested Sprinter service repair shops. The first question I would ask is if they had ever changed the Y cable. The Y cable will cause problems starting or making the Sprinter go into Limp Mode. It is a common problem with the year Sprinter that I have. Only one Sprinter Service center know exactly what the Y Cable was as well as how to replace it. (not counting the Mercedes Dealer) Chris at European motors knew of this problem. I had European Motors change out the Brake Fluid today. The Price was reasonable and the work done On Time as promised. I highly recommend European Motors for work on my Sprinter RV as well as any European Car. read more

I drive a 2005 Saab 9-3. This is the only place in Omaha that advertises working on Saabs. Their website shows multiple Saabs being worked on and says that Chris is a Saab master technician. I had taken my Saab multiple places for a Saab specific issue and every other mechanic threw their hands up. Chris and European Motors have all of the diagnostic and computer systems for Saab vehicles. His knowledge of Saab's parts and computer systems is beyond anyone else, including Sid Dillon's "Saab tech". I will be taking my car to Chris in the future if I ever have any complex issues or fixes I cannot do with my Saab. read more

European Motors is the only place I will take my vehicle to be serviced. The name would indicate what type of car (European) they work on. Chris, the owner, is very knowledgeable, fair and efficient. If I have ever had a question about a noise, when my oil should be changed, tires etc, I will call and speak to Katrina whom relays my message. They always return my call promptly and if necessary, schedule an appointment for me. I have inquired about having things done or replaced and Chris will asses my vehicles needs and either suggest a service or tell me that it's not ready for it at that time and I leave without being charged. I feel that most "garages" around town will suggest something to make a buck or two. I always trust them with my oil changes, routine maintenance and they recently replaced my brakes for half of what my dealership quoted me. They even work with factory warranties (at least for Mercedes). I would suggest European Motors to anyone with a European car that needs a simple or complex issue solved. It's obvious that they are passionate about their business and take great care of their clients as well as their vehicles. Chris will also find a specific car for you to purchase from around the country, fly to that location and drive it back to Omaha. read more

I will never use this repair shop again. In January of 2014 I had part replaced. Five months later the same problem presented itself again. Reluctantly they looked at the car and reported that the battery could not provide enough voltage to shut a relay switch off. I took the car to a qualified mechanic and the same part that European Motors had installed in January and reported was working in July was replaced. Haven't had any problems since the part was replaced. It is beyond me that European Motors was willingly to lose all my business over a faulty $16.00 part. Reduce headaches and frustration and money and take your car to a reparable mechanic. DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR SHOP!! read more

Had them do estimate for oil leak and CV boot repairs on my VW Jetta. Took to dealer to get another quote (my right as a consumer), which was higher but they agreed to match. For convenience sake I left car with dealer (offered loaner) and had them do repairs. I felt bad that Euro Motors did work to diagnose but didn't get the job, so I went back to them when I had an un-related transmission problem. They gave me the 3rd degree about having the previous work done by someone else. Basically scolded and attacked me for it. The guy was literally shaking the previous print out of their estimate in my face. Never in my life have I been treated so badly. Was completely flabbergasted at how rude they were.
