It was close to me, so I figured let's go check it out and see if the hype was real. I pull up and the truck is nestled right by a gas station, and honestly if you know, you know--sometimes those low-key spots end up having the best food. I ordered the taco plate with carne asada, rice, beans, and two Mexican Cokes because... why not go all in? Let me tell you, these tacos and that rice and beans played an important part of my day lol. One bite instantly took me back to those days of finishing a hard 3-mile run and rewarding myself with tacos after. That first bite just hit differently. The carne asada was flavorful, tender, and seasoned just right. The rice and beans were straight comfort food and completed the plate perfectly. What made the experience even better was the service. The staff was super hospitable, polite, and just genuinely welcoming. That matters to me just as much as good food. Great food always gets my attention, but good people are what make me want to come back. If you happen to see this truck, do yourself a favor and flag them down. Definitely worth the stop.

EVER…read more I had the pleasure of working with Carlos for my 40th birthday party this past weekend and words cannot describe how amazing the food and service were from start to finish. I literally had a friend text me earlier today saying he is still "dreaming" of those incredible tacos! Carlos was warm and communicative from go, always professional and responsive. He arrived early to the venue and quickly and efficiently set up his stations and tents and got to work making some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. We ordered 3 meat varieties and each was flavorful, savory, and perfectly seasoned. There was not a single guest who didn't comment on the tacos and more than a few asked for his card hoping to hire him for their next event. Best part was I was able to take home the left overs and have enjoyed the tacos for the past 2 nights with my family, not a drop was wasted I can assure you! It was perfect: texture, amount of sweetness, flavor, everything you could want in a chocolate chip cookie! I loved the moist and chunky banana bread with walnuts. So good with a nice cup of hot coffee. My banana latte was the bomb! Not too sweet and the banana flavor still came through. Jas said that was her favorite also. Jas is just as sweet as her menu! Honestly, any of the proteins you choose will be delicious and since I usually make it once they've started selling out of items I end up ordering whatever they have left. These bowls are hefty with rice, fresh veggies, protein, and sauce and super flavorful. I love the sliced jalapenos they include and the spicy sauce they give you on the side. The food can take a bit longer to make, but once you take a first bite you'll forget the wait. Whenever this food truck is at an event it's one of my must visits.
