I eat here every so often and I sense that there are better takes on the quesa-birria tacos than this location. The consome is a little lack luster. I will say the food feels authentic and also fast. With that being said most of the time I order the burritos and those have been different experiences every time I did order a burrito. The salsas are fresh however which is necessary for good Mexican. I have a sensitivity to food and on occasion the food has upset my stomach for a couple days. Not sure if it's the oils or what but something to keep in mind. I'm still giving this place 5 stars because it's well kept. Friendly staff and amazing agua fresca. Didn't even get a pic before I dug in--that should tell you everything Asada fries came out Fries were crispy (while they lasted), carne asada cooked perfect, and the fresh garnishes + sauce brought it all together real clean. I can't believe I forgot how good this place was!! Was craving Mexican food a few nights ago and ordered a super burrito and quesabirria tacos. We got it to go because it was 40 minutes before closing and the food came out so quick! The cashier also let us try their agua frescas and told us to try the hibiscus with fresh squeezed lime and it was AMAZING. we ordered one of those and a piña agua fresca. We grabbed salsa verde, their pickled onions, and tortilla chips. It was our first time trying their pickled onions but it was delicious, I wish I grabbed more!! I ordered Quesabirria Tacos and my friend chose the Carne Asada Fries. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed the salsa bar, which included complimentary tortilla chips and three different kinds of salsa. I only tried one kind, and it was flavorful with a good spice level. The food didn't take long to come out, and portion sizes were very generous. My Quesabirria Tacos came with three tacos, two lime wedges, and a cup of consommé. The tacos were delicious and filling, and tasted even better with the lime juice. The consommé lacked flavor, so I ended up barely using it. I did manage to finish all three tacos, but was extremely full afterwards. The staff were very kind in explaining what some of their most popular items were - with their best seller being their quesabirria. My husband ordered the quesabirria burrito while my dad ordered one chicken, one shrimp, and one Carne Asada taco. We all enjoyed the salsa bar - but their salsas do have a kick! The quesabirria tacos were delicious, but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of flavor in the consommé. The tacos by themselves were packed with meat and cheese - the meat was very tender and flavorful. But the consommé left me lacking with no real depth or flavor profile. My dad enjoyed his tacos, and my husband felt that the burrito was tasty, but the way it was assembled had the rice, beans, and meat in entirely different sections, and we're not well integrated. My husband's friend recommended this place to us. I've only had birria a couple of times before. I was in the mood for a burrito. I order the burrito with birria. It was pretty good. I liked it was grilled and it was pretty big. The burrito tasted good, but it felt like it was missing something. I think it would have been better with some sour cream in it. It didn't come with any, but next time I will add it to my order. My husband ordered a burrito also. He thought the same thing, the burrito needed sour cream or something. He also ordered some nachos to share. Some of the meat was a little dry. A little over cooked. The front of the restaurant had a few tables, but there was some more table through a doorway in the back of the restaurant. They have a salsa and chip bar available; you can get your own. Can't go wrong with the Pizza Birria, it can legit feed a fam of 4-6 depending on how you stretch it for $20. Every item, every order is always bomb!!! The salsas are legit, and pack heat! I've had two amazing experiences with Tony's Tacos - once via delivery and once in person. Delivery - I ordered the Super Burrito with carne asada and my partner had the birria quesadilla. Both were delicious and arrived warm. I haven't enjoyed a meal like that in so long. In-person - With a craving for the Super Burrito we took the 20 mins drive to Tony's to eat at the restaurant. It's a bit unassuming from the outside and you don't really know what to expect and I was really excited to see how nice it was. The staff was very welcoming and the service was quick. We tried the Super Burrito again and it was EVEN BETTER, the birria quesadilla which was still yummy, and the birria ramen which was a fun mix of food.
