Amazing shrimp! Excellent carne asada quesadillas. Made to order and very authentic.

After they told me tilipia was the primary fish for their tacos, I chose some shrimp tacos and empanadas. Also I had some carne asada tacos. The tacos were amazing! The empanadas were just as great. The shrimp was grilled and freshly made. The sauces are good especially the green one was spicy. Aoili was good and added nice flavor. The empanada worth the get. Crispy and full of flavor. We got the carne asada and my son ate 4 loving every bite. A great place for food and I am anti tilipia but I am sure that most of their seafood is delicious. read more

We always seen this food truck and we did try it years back before. The area around the food truck is clean and now they added those picnic tables. The shrimp with octopus tostadas were 10/10, very flavorful and spicy. The fish tacos were good too. The green sauce was so SPICY and yummy. The young lady who took my order was friendly and helpful. I was very excited to try Mariscos Las Playitas because of its great reviews, but it only partially lived up to the hype. I was torn on what to order, but ended up choosing the Shrimp Empanadas. They came in two different portion sizes, and I got the smaller one (6 empanadas). Service was friendly and the food took about 10 minutes to be ready. The empanadas were tasty and flavorful, but far from the best I've had. They came with three sauces - a green salsa that was very spicy, a red salsa that had a good spice level but slightly sour aftertaste, and mayo. I ended up using the mayo and red salsa the most. The portion size was generous and the meal was very filling. Overall, I would return to order something different next time! read more

I paid $12 for a shrimp quesadilla that was really good. Their green sauce is pretty spicy, so be careful! I'm not sure if they have anything milder, but I enjoyed it. Work at a near by hospital and would drive by this truck. Always seemed busy, so one day I was tired of the same ole thing and went to try it out. They have a big menu, so I tried their shrimp cocktail! It was full of fresh delicious shrimp, they had different hot sauces to add to your liking. I recently tried this Mexican seafood truck and it did not disappoint! The fish tacos were fresh and flavorful, and the ceviche was some of the best I've ever had. The truck was clean and the service was quick and friendly. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food. I highly recommend stopping by this truck if you're in the mood for some delicious and authentic Mexican seafood. Note it is outdoor they do have two tables for the patrons to sit. Or simply get it to go it is in a more rough of a neighborhood but I have yet to ever be bothered by anyone so don't let that discourage you at all. Don't bother going to a fancy seafood restaurant give this family owned place a try. Stopped here because we were wanting tacos de camaron and ceviche. This place is so good! The tacos de Governador are delicious; they have diced shrimp sautéed with onions and tomatoes in a corn tortilla with cheese. So good! The ceviche is fresh. I stumbled upon this truck this morning while taking my lunch... ( I'm a truck driver) they weren't open yet, but my only other choices were McDonald's or subway, and neither appealed to me. I decided to wait 20 minutes and I'm so glad i did. I ordered 2 asada tacos, and a shrimp tostada. Tacos were really good, but the shrimp tostada was EXCELLENT. It was huge, piled high with shrimp, diced tomatoes, cucumber, onion, it was very impressive. The young ladies working there were friendly and pretty as well! It was good enough that I'll definitely make a trip back to try some other stuff like the special oysters... absolutely recommend stopping here if you have the chance. read more
