Came by on 11/22/25 with my beautiful wife and adorable toddler for a quick lunch at XX Tacos located on Stockton Blvd in Sacramento, CA. When I mean a quick lunch, I mean a quick lunch. They are a Taco Truck parked in the corner of a truck shop, enticing customers from all backgrounds to stop and eat their aromatic tacos and burritos waffling out in the parking lot. The service was reasonably fast, two or three staff members stuffed in a truck, taking and making the orders. I got three birria tacos with consumme. The tacos were meaty and juicy. And the consumme took the taste buds out of this world. We will returning. read more

We drive by XX Tacos often during our errand runs and have always wanted to try it. The woman taking our order was extremely kind and patient with us. However, that was probably the best part of the whole experience. We ordered 3 tacos and a burrito. The food overall just tasted WAY too salty. It was filling, but more salty than it needed to be. The solution would have been to order a drink, but the ones we sampled were WAY too sweet. Although the location is great in terms of exposure of customers, it's just way too close to the main road. There's one folding table underneath a canopy, but still really close to the road where loud vehicles are constantly being heard. Overall, this place was okay. We stopped by their food truck yesterday for lunch and ate at their big covered seating area! Great service! It's located in a truck stop/gas station and VERY popular! We ordered a Regular Quesadilla with Chicken, XX Burrito with Al Pastor and Quesabirrias with Consome. Our 1.5 year old enjoyed her quesadilla after we got her sour cream and hubby said his tacos were very flavorful and the birria was nice and tender! OMG best burrito I ever had, instant foodgasm, 100% worth the hype!!! Let's just say we'll be back for another filling lunch when we're in the area, nice it's not far from Sweet Treats by Jas too! Seen this place being advertised on social Medias and tried it out. For tacos: asada and pastor and also a Jamaica pineapple agua. The tacos were okay not something I would come back for to be honest. Their spicy salsa was okay. It was just missing something but their agua was pretty good. Not sure if I'd come back for tbh. Always drive by so figure I'd try it today. The carne asada needs seasoning. It was dry and didn't have much flavor. Couldn't tell if that was bacon or pre cut bacon bits. Definitely needs more sour cream. Guac and melted cheese on the carne asada fries. The steak. It was decent after adding the grilled onions. Lime and hot salsa. But outside of that. This is at the old phat Jerry's location. Small. Menu is as high as the food truck. Ordered 7 tacos and loaded fries for $47. If tacos is all you want this is a great place. The menu is small only rice and pinto beans for sides. Tacos were great but not impressed. I need chips, salsa, and refried beans. read more

This truck has super friendly and quick service. It's located at a gas station, but there was lots of space to park. There was no wait when I arrived at 6pm on a Friday. I ordered carne asada street tacos. They give you a choice of salsa and how spicy you'd like it to be. The mild verde salsa was so yummy and was the perfect amount of spice. The meat was flavorful and the tortillas seemed fresh. I'm intrigued by their loaded fries, so I'll be sure to check this truck out again! read more

The tacos were fire! The outer shell is super crispy, the meat is nice and tender, they also serve it with grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño. Please be aware, that jalapeño is nothing to play with! I burnt the hell out of my mouth after I took a bite of the jalapeño, I didn't know it would be that hot! The Agua Fresca was delicious, the tacos were delicious, however, the consommé was lacking. It tasted like regular beef broth with some chopped up, cilantro, and a few herbs. This food truck is good, with reasonable prices and portions. My son and I ordered an horchata, which was perfect, not too sweet or basic, and with a splash of cinnamon. We ordered quesabirrias, and my son loved them. I thought they had too much cinnamon and spice for my liking. But we also had carne asada and al pastor tacos. Normally I don't care for al pastor, but these were really good! I would go back for this and the horchata. And the asada, I thought needed more seasoning. read more

My sister and I were trying to find a good taco truck in Sacramento, I think we found it. I seen this taco trucks on TikTok, and was even better when it was close to my sister's house. I tried this place after a church meeting. I've been wanting to try this place for a while, but it is in the hood, so it's someplace I don't want to wait outside for a long period of time. The food truck is easy to spot & lots of parking, not in the best area but it's close to Costco on Stockton Blvd. Service was quick & staff were very nice. Overall, this isn't a place I'm going out of my way to go to, but if I'm in the area, I'd try again. 9/10 - Keto Asada Taco: the meat was seasoned nicely & the cheese shell was executed well; everything stayed inside & didn't fall apart easily. Out on a late night prowl and stumbled by this gem that i always see but never got to try till now Service was great patient with accommodations and answering questions. Very nice and i can tell clean in the truck. Food was made to order so it took about 10mins or so but not a problem with us. Ordered Regular Carne asada fries, 3/5 i wasn't a fan of the fry choice and felt like it needed more cheese. The meat ratio was great tho carne asada burrito, 5/5 big, filling, flavorful. a quesadilla 5/5 smaller than i expected but it was good and melty and plain taco for the kid. 5/5 son said the the meat was good. And he is a picky eater so that's a win read more

Would I go here again? Yes, absolutely. The taco prices range from $3.00 - $4.50. For the price, I was happy with the portion size and was full after 3 tacos. My boyfriend was full after 4! My friends wanted to try this taco truck after seeing Instagram reels of it and it is conveniently located next to Costco about a minute away. The truck is parked on the corner of the lot so it may be overlooked if you're driving past the lot. Staff was friendly when we ordered and we waited about 15 minutes for the food to come out. Items ordered: - Quesabirria: Large quesabirria for each order but it was pretty filling so I was already full after 2! When you order more than 3 quesabirria you also get the side of consome for free (normally $3 for the side). Really great flavor and lots of meat and cheese in each quesabirria. - Burrito with Al pastor: Great flavor of the al pastor in the burrito and generous portion as well! read more

I especially recommend the tacos al pastor -- I find some places make them quite gamey but the ones at XX are what you hope for: mild, a tiny bit sweet, and just beautifully balanced. Served with fresh lime wedges and lightly grilled onion and jalapeño. I had the carne asada street tacos with onion and cilantro. The meat was cooked to perfection and the onion and cilantro was a great addition. The xx taco had chicken, bacon, onion, cilantro and cheese. This taco had a humongous amount of toppings. The toppings were a great addition and the meat was cook to perfection. It comes with salsa which was quite flavorful. Customer service was great and the wait times are not that long. I had an XX asada burrito it was one of the best I've had in sac! I wish it had actual smashed guac in it specially for $16 and not the water down green sauce on the side.
