It worked beautifully, because everyone at the company does high quality work, and the Arganbrights have great integrity and years of experience. They write very detailed construction proposals, with each element priced out, so there are no hidden costs or surprises. (Their prices are more than fair, by the way.) They sent photos and kept in regular phone and email contact, so we completely felt in the loop while work was being done. The Iowa-made WoodHarbor cabinets they feature are high quality, and the Arganbrights have good relationships with suppliers such as Cambria (quartz countertops) that result in savings to the homeowner. When we arrived from CA, the house was very thoroughly cleaned, all appliances checked and it was ready for move in. We recommend WoodHarbor highly. Remodeling and construction are usually stress-filled endeavors, but not so this time. We would work with the Arganbrights again, happily.

So when he calls he tells me he has two bigger jobs and he will not do my basement. Which is fine. I called him a week ago and left a message.. saying hey Mike it's Elvis, you can keep the check just send me the estimate. it's been three weeks since he told me he would return my check and still no check, or no estimate. This is exactly what is frustrating about these small companies. They believe they can say and do what they want because they're the owner of the business. Not realizing word of mouth and social media is the way people find out about these companies. I'm glad he didn't want to work for me, especially seeing first hand how he handles potential clients etc. communication is key and he has no clue. I wouldn't recommend this company to any of my friends or family.

Do not Recommend I don't usually post, however want to share…read moreour experience this past month on a new home purchase. TLC was professional during the inspection and provided the summary same day so that was nice. The inspection came back with only a couple minor things - crack in driveway, outlet that needed fixed. We moved in 2 weeks later and experienced several issues in the first couple days. After using the garbage disposal for the first time, we went to bed. In the morning water was all over the kitchen floor due to it leaking. It was taken apart to find corrosion and needed to be replaced. Second garbage disposal in laundry room was inoperable as well needed to be replaced. Kitchen bathroom sink leaked all over counter and underneath sink .. had to replace. After taking a bath the first time, there was water all over the floor .. heavy leak underneath we discovered. Kitchen faucet leaked and were told that was normal. Hall bathtub faucet to switch from bath to shower flow, didnt work. As you can imagine we were frustrated the inspection results did not indicate any of this. We emailed TLC to let them know of our troubles. The response we received from this business was shocking. In summary it said: I took pictures and tested everything. There was no leaking and he could not help if all of these issues started in the 2 weeks after his inspection. ..??.. I maybe see one issue popping up in 2 weeks but all of these? Come on. I would have expected a kinder response from a business owner and do not recommend him.

We decided to reached out to K&B for some closet organization. Eric was the one in charge of our project and he did everything from the quote to final install. We were very happy with the planning, design, communication, and install that Eric with K&B was able to provide for us. He was prompt with replys, clear when communicating, and thural when installing. I do not see us going anywhere else for future projects.

We had three projects combined into one. Replace a 32" door with a 36" one, put beadboard on our…read moreceiling of our loft house and finish an unfinished drywall job in a back room of the house. The door was pretty straight forward and was done in about a day. Very pleased with the replacement and quality of work. (Jay did a great job) The beadboard was a big job. The peak of the room is over 20' up and presented a real challenge as there are some lowered beams in the way that make scaffolding difficult. It took about 3 days to get it done but the results are beautiful. The drywall was screwed up on the wall, but not even taped from about 10 years ago. (We bought an unfinished repo) I figured that it would have to be ripped out and replaced, but Jason thought he could save us a lot of money by taping and sanding, and it came out really good. You'd never know that it was old crumbling drywall the way it looks now. We were really impressed. The best part of the experience was after they were done Jason came back to do a punch list of the work and see if we were satisfied. There were a few relatively minor issues like you could see the nail holes in the beadboard and they had run out of window casing and left one window half finished. All the issues we had were addressed to my wife's satisfaction, (not always so easy to please her) and overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Jason is a good guy who you can tell really cares about his work and the customers satisfaction.
