Everything always go well. Employees always try help when I ask, even if it's not their department. Prefer Menards over Home Depot everyday. Store policies are great. Don't have receipt? You can look it up on their kiosks. Providing you have a Menards credit card. Groceries! Cheaper than Jewel. They don't have everything, but I still buy what I can there. Prices can't be beat. I have bought wood, paint, appliances, furniture, food, toys, Christmas decorations, kitchen cabinets, drapes, lawn equipment, and more I can't think of right now. read more

Sales associates were all very helpful in helping me locate a list of items. Jacob, an associate on the first floor, was able to even tell be the exact area on the second floor where I could find a small electrical part. I was not advised there was a no return policy on a lawn mower I brought it on the 10th of July I brought it back before the 10th of August I called per the instructions on the literature that was inside the box they told me to take the little bit of gas that was in there out cuz I did not put any oil in there I got all of that gas out of there did not use the lawn mower could not get it to start so I decided I was going to take it back and went ahead and got mines fixed so I took it back and they told me they could not take it back it had to be damaged well if you're telling me that it's possible that you sell damaged merchandise on a regular basis how else would I know that it would not start now I did tell the people that pulsar that I didn't needed any longer cuz I got mines fixed and that's what they put on the return sheet that I didn't want it anymore That's irregardless of anything I wanted a refund on something that I did not use gas would have to go in it to see if you can start it which I had no luck I did ask them at pulsar would it start with if I hadn't put in the oil in it and they informed me no! There were no signs posted when I purchased this lawn mower saying no returns had I saw that I would not have purchased it but I can tell you for sure I will not be shopping Menards anymore I didn't appreciate the way that the manager not the girls behind the desk the manager was very condescending that they would not return it they made no sense so anytime I bring something back from to that store you will not refund my money if I used it in this case I didn't even use it I attempted to use it and I think I gave an acceptable excuse of why I was returning it My lawn mower is now working but that's okay I've had my property for 35 years and I've always shot Menards but I will not anymore and I will spread the news then I called your corporate number and the woman that answered that when I told her that I would not be shopping Menards anymore she said that's your that's your prerogative and a nasty tone and she was condescending the same way as the people at the bridgeview a 91st and Harlem location in Chicago unbelievable You talking about somebody's feelings hurt feel very unappreciated and disrespected! When I called there and the young man said that is the sign for posted I said no they were not there's nothing posted and the young lady that helped us could have mentioned that to us cuz I was telling her that I wasn't sure how to put it together she told me it's going to be very easy all you have to do is put the handles on and the wheels and I did do that successfully but if you're going to volunteer all of that information to me then you need to also tell me that there was a no return policy which it does not state that on the receipt and if it does I don't see it because the seat receipt was slightly faded I didn't even pay attention to that I did not think I was going to have a problem cuz I've never had any problem returning anything I mean anything to Menards! Where do I start. I can believe so many rude and unhelpful people can work under one roof and if you complain to management (Jeziel - young kid glasses frizzy hair and some sort of mustache) does absolutely nothing. That's why they have a rating of only 2 stars because the customer service is horrendous. And do they do background checks cause my 14 year old boy was asked for his phone number by an 20 something year old male hispanic employee and management did nothing and when I asked the manager to ask the employee if he approached my son he claims he could not I asked him to check the cameras he would not. Unacceptable!!! My son worked at this store for quite sometime as a part-time worker but at times picked up shifts working 40hrs at times, mind you he was attending college at the same time. And they decided to terminate him because on his day off they had a mandatory meeting which he did NOT know about it because he was off. They terminated him for not being there at that night meeting. He's a young great man who is doing things right by going to school and working and he's expecting a child in a few months. He was looking forward to gaining a hire position. Showed them everyday by not being late, taking on more shifts, respectful and reliable...and they instead terminate him!!! The manager that made that decision needs a life check!! Everything they have is great, such as tools, lumber, tiles, fences, paints, lawn care, wood, and others. This place also offers some groceries, health and beauty products, etc. Menards always had the exact items you needed. Such a helpful and amazing store. Their employees are helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. All of them really know how to talk to customers in a very professional way. They are also willing to guide the customers around the place. Such great customer service! Absolutely love Menards! Great place to shop, purchase bulky items, and also a place where you can find some hard-to-find things here in this area. Everything has good and fair pricing. Buying multiple items at this place won't break your pockets because here at Menards, items are very affordable and fair. There are only two Menards stores that I go to, the Crestwood, Illinois store and the Bridgeview, Illinois store. My first choice is ALWAYS Crestwood. The managers there run a tight ship and ALL employees know where EVERYTHING is and, even if what you need isn't in their respective departments, they will walk WITH you to where the item is. The Bridgeview store, however, is quite the opposite. Employees will tell you what department you need, but would NEVER assist any further and most of the time, they're wrong. The store has two stories... its huge. But, it's also extremely difficult to find what you need. And each time I shopped there, and I couldn't find a specific item, I'd ask the nearest employee who would always tell me they're out, even though their website would specifically say it's in stock. Then I'd be told the website is wrong. Today, I was looking for a food processor at the Bridgeview Menards that was in stock (as per their website) but not in the appliance department where one would think it should be. I found the employee, Miguel, who is young and I wasn't hopeful. He came to the aisles that I'd already searched and said, "If you'd like to wait here, I'll check one other spot that it could be in." So i waited. A few minutes later her came back with the food processor in hand!! I was delighted, shocked and impressed! He told me that because it's a discontinued product, it wouldn't be in the spot I thought it'd be in. Miguel is the type of employee that the other Bridgeview Menards employees should emulate! Thank you, Miguel!! I wish I got your last name but I'm hoping the managers will read this and know who I'm talking about. I absolutely love Menards. I've been going there for 20 years and have always had good interactions with employees. Unfortunately, today 2/16/2023, my interaction with the gate employee in back of Menards was dismal at best. I pulled up picking up a order that I did online a couple of weeks. The look on her face as she exited her guard shack was like I was inconveniencing her. I showed her my order number and she told me that the order was already picked up! I told her NO it was not picked up and she began to argue with me stating it was picked up. I asked for a manager, she said No. finally after bickering back and forth a couple minutes later she checks again and she was wrong. The order was NOT picked up, hence I'm here to pickup the order. She let me through the gate with no apology or anything. This women and I use this term loosely, needs retraining. She obviously has other issues going on in her life that makes her incompetent to perform her basic job duties effectively. Do better Menards. read more

I love the 2-level Menards. This store is huge!! Bonus for the guy playing the piano as you get off the escalator upstairs. I've been to this location numerous times - they carry everything. I am not a black-Friday shopper, ever. However, this year, we got up at 5:00 and were at Menards by 5:30am. This was so well organized and there was enough merchandise so that they did not run out. The deals were amazing!! They had the fastest checkout I've ever experienced - I wasn't even in line 5 minutes - they had it down to a science! Great customer service - huge store! read more

People may criticize my yelp review but I came here because I simply needed a wine aerator, Menards was the only place that carried the specific brands I like and I have not visited the new Menards since it was remodeled. This place carries everything, even things I never thought of, they carried it. I was so overwhelmed by all the stuff they had I got distracted for 2 hours browsing around and telling myself not to go on a shopping spree. If i'm right, there is like 600+ aisles! After what seems like forever since the previous Menard's on this site was razed, we have a new and beautiful Chicagoland flagship store. While there aren't a big number of changes from other newer Chicagoland locations, when you consider the age and cramped layout of the previous building, this brings an entirely new experience to Bridgeview area. The square footage of this building is almost double the previous one, while combined square footage of the outside lumber and garden centers is slightly smaller One of the negative experiences I've had here a couple times since they opened is the lack of friendliness of associates. This occurred both during the daytime and evening so is possibly a store issue rather than a shift or single department manager issue. Many of the employees seem new and there could be an acceptable lack of raw knowledge on products or location, but when the problem is with attitude about being disturbed or ignoring other multiple customers in the department, something needs fixing, quickly. My last couple experiences occurred in the small hand tools area and the lighting department. The brand selection and prices were good throughout hand tools and I picked out some new rubber griped screwdrivers and then was going to make an impulse buy of a rubber gripped adjustable wrench. I knew exactly what I wanted in the drivers but had to ask about quality of wrenches when I saw a few nice ones that would be helpful. But when I asked for advice on how loose or rusty a few of them could be over time I just got some mumbling about basic features. I nicely asked the associate to send someone else over with a greater depth of knowledge but no one ever showed and I passed on a pricy wrench and called it a day. When I went in for a replacement lightbulb I figured I'd be in and out. I happened upon Mark who pointed me to a section of one aisle and left (that was OK for me) but it soon became clear that my specialty bulb didn't have a traditional incandescent option any longer and I had to make a full change. I was concerned that the newer LED bulbs wouldn't have the correct white color I was accustomed to and wanted to test two options out before purchase. The same associate "didn't have time right now" but could help in a while when the department was slower. I waited 15 minutes and decided my patience had run empty and picked one and headed to checkout without testing either, figuring I could return it later if it didn't match the warm white I was looking for. The checkout process is much faster with the "bag it yourself" process and receipt dispenser. There was an older woman in front of me and she got plenty of assistance with a process she could have found frustrating and was taken care of the way a business should offer service to a senior. The outside garden center is mostly focused on planters and hanging baskets. Far less flats and mass selections of traditional plants and not a great selection for those that want to create and get dirty. Good for those who want the ease of buy and put right on display at your house. The parking lot is newly paved and big and gone are the faint stripes and potholes. Plenty of handicap spaces and powered carts for those that need it. read more

This Menards in Bridgeview is the closest for me so I always go here first. You are taking a chance when going here to find your item in stock. I went here about a month ago looking for ice melt for my sidewalks. Not a single bag in stock. Are you kidding me? The middle of winter and they have no ice melt. I headed to Home Depot in Chicago Ridge and they had plenty in stock. Today I went to Menards to again look for some more ice melt and windshield washer fluid. They had NONE of either item! Whomever orders their merchandise needs how to learn how to order in advance so they don't run out. It is winter and these items should always be in stock. Maybe I'll have to start going to Home Depot first! read more

This place is getting worse by the minute. The only way to get competitive prices is to use their rebate and wait for your money which is only good on future purchases. I went to get some tape and went to the tape aisle near the entrance and found prices to be 30% higher than advertised on their website for this location. In fact all of the lower priced tapes were not displayed. I inquired at the service desk where a manager explained that the lower priced items were on the upper level in the shipping materials department. Imagine that. The cheaper priced items a mile away from where anybody would look for them. Why do they even have a tape department? You lose trust in a store with this crap. Too many options to shop elsewhere so I will avoid Menards from now on. read more

You go to a store, any store in hopes it will be safe. Walking through the parking lot of at my car a Village Bridgeview ESDA vehicle is driving on the wrong side of the lane and almost brushes me he is so close. Then I pull out and he is in my lane of traffic in the lot and he won't pull over so I have to go in the oncoming lane. This is a huge liability for both Bridgeview and Menards. read more

I wish I could give zero stars!!!! Worst customer service ever! They barely have anyone working there and the people they have don't know much about the products. The manager Anthony is a terrible manager and is in the wrong business. He has no skill at customer service. Not only is he incapable of helping customers and showing respect but he models this behavior to his employees. Not only was he unhelpful and unyielding but he allowed the employees to discuss the problem openly within my earshot. Terrible store! I left and went to the evergreen Menards. Came with my husband to look for paint for the deck and doors for the new shed. In the paint department, there were no brochures for the paint that I wanted. Went upstairs to look for new doors for the shed. I walked up to the counter and gave the lady with short blonde hair and glasses my measurements. Says she doesn't know those measurements and did NOT offer to help me look around for new doors and continued to stand at the counter. The new two story concept store is horrible. Half of what you might need is on the second floor. In order to get to the millwork you have to walk half way to the back of the store and take a moving ramp that takes you almost to the other side of the store. You then must walk back, past the main aisle where you come in to get to the area. At that point you still have to walk 50 or 60 feet to where the door hardware is. After you get what you need you have to reverse the whole trip. I was exhausted just trying to buy three doorknobs. It will be Home Depot for me. read more

So, I've shopped this Menards since I moved to the area. It is a large store, so I appreciate all of the signs! If you read, you have no problem finding what you need. Most of the employees are helpful, some not so much, but that is just retail I think. We were replacing some blinds, doors and the garage window in our home and headed in. Blinds first, being downstairs, didn't even take 10 minutes, great customer service. Went upstairs, found the tiniest of young ladies lifting and putting away huge doors! Offered help, she declined and put down her door to help me. Not only was my window in stock, I was able to get all of my doors ordered, and decided, with some light convincing to change up my knobs as well. I decided to look around some and asked about a couple of other things I may have needed, I'll never forget this visit because Eva, from doors walked me through the store, got me what I needed, and got me out. I was really missing the Bridgeview Menards after it was knocked down. Thankfully they finally finished and we have this new beautiful menards to shop at. I went to this store to purchase some simple wall anchors, I located the anchors they had but the size I was looking for was not there. Asked the rep working in the department if she could help. She redirected me to a different department. In total i talked to 3 reps, in 3 different departments who acted like it was a bother to help me locate what I was looking for. I had the search the store to find help and on 3 occasions found 3 or more reps grouped together talking/laughing pretending not to notice me, the customer needed assistance. I spent $1600 for a remodel. I thought customer service and treatment was a high priority at Menards....I was sadly mistaken. Anthony was very rude and disrespectful. NOT RELIABLE. Trying to build a paver patio for my father-in-law. On Saturday I ordered blocks and paver base from the Bridgeview Menards and paid the $89 for delivery. The website stated I would be contacted within 24 Hours to arrange delivery. 24 hours passed and I received no contact of any kind. I call the Bridgeview Menards on Monday morning. The person on the line stated they didn't know how to arrange a delivery and they would have a supervisor call me. Monday passes and no call received. I call Bridgeview Menards on Tuesday morning The gentleman stated that Tuesday and Wednesday deliveries are booked full. He would have the order ready and delivered on Thursday. He stated that he would call me on Thursday morning to let me know what time the delivery would arrive. Thursday morning passes and I receive no call. I call the Bridgeview Menards at noon on Thursday and the gentlemen in the delivery department states he knows nothing about the delivery and on top of that, doesn't have paver base on hand....MAYBE he'll have it to deliver on Saturday. Bridgeview Menards is ridiculous. Shop at the Hodgkins Menards. I found them to be extremely helpful when I got the necessary paver base there. read more

On Feb. 06 I purchased my kitchen cabinets from the Bridgeview Menards. The person that did the design and placed the order said the arrival date and also it shows on the papers was going to be March 5th. They told me that the Co. that was shipping my cabinets was going to call me to give me date and time of that delivery next day. 2 days later I got that call and they told me delivery date was March 12. I told them abt. the other delivery date that Menards gave me they told me that they never give 4 weeks for arrival did not know why Menards did so. After waiting 5 weeks for the delivery once the guy that is installing them find out one of the lower cabinet does not have the right size (a mistake made by Cardell or Menards, Im not sure). So I go back to Menards on March 13 and re-order that cabinet again. I ask if it could be rushed since it was not my fault, the associate at Menards told me she was going to ask. Next day when they continue installing the rest of the cabinets we find out that one of the upper cabinets is also the wrong size. I go back to Menards and re-order that one also. This time I asked the girl to let them know to put the 2 orders together since it was same customer. The associate at Menards sent Cardell an e-mail on March 14, same day I place my second order asking them to please rush my order and also put the orders from March 13 and 14 together to be deliver the same day. They forwarded me that e-mail sent from Menards to Cardell and also I could read the response on March 17 from the Cardell Customer Care associate saying that the 2 orders were going to be rushed and delivered together. Next day when I get a call with the estimated deliver date they told me me April 9. What kind of rush is that???. I have no choice but wait. Today, March 31st I get a call from Cardell letting me know that the cabinet was coming on April 23 due to Covid-19. I understand the pandemic situation the world is going through now so I say OK. But what really upset me even more is the fact that 2 hours later I get another call from same company telling me the deliver date is April 30th for which I told the associate how if someone just called me with another date?. She look on my order and told me oh you have 2 different orders so the other one is going to be deliver on April 23 and this one on the 30th. And I said what kind of service this companies give to customers???. Why so many mistakes???. No apologies, no one cares about the customer after giving them the business???. Either Menards or Cardell give the customer a follow up on this. After you pay they show no interest on helping the customer with any issue coming up after their mistakes. These companies are not communicating with each other and definitely not with me. I am not a carpenter, I have hired someone to come and install these cabinets in my house. My kitchen is half complete because they need these cabinets to finish. Not to mention that these contractors putting together my kitchen are not doing this for charity. Every time they come out that's more money from my pocket. Both of these companies have a complete disregard what a mistake like this can cost a customer (that has spent THOUSANDS of dollars) in money, time and peace of mind. I am very disappointed, I understand that things happen but Cardell and Menards have made an already stressful situation even worst. read more

Price trickery!!!!!! I love how they remade the store but every item I had was much more expensive when I got to the register. I was told it's a rebate......to fill out a form and get the difference in the mail. I don't like that at all. I don't know about anybody else but it just rubbed me the wrong way.
