I don't even know how to explain what Harry Miller has done to us. It's so unfathomable that words are difficult to come by. We've been using Harry Miller to fix our washers and dryers at our condo building for decades. It's difficult for me to give a 1-star review because their servicemen are terrific. However, what they're doing now leaves me speechless. Our work orders for machine repairs goes through our management company, Westward360. Westward360 manages many MANY associations and apartment buildings. There's one association that has absolutely NOTHING to do with us, that has an outstanding invoice from February and I believe it's in the low $100's. When our association called for service on a machine, Harry Miller REFUSED to come out because this other association has an outstanding invoice. They said the ONLY way they'd come out is if I (the president of the association) pays upfront. I don't have our association's checkbook onsite and all of our invoices are paid directly from Westward360. They want ME to pay out of MY pocket. I can't even fathom what Harry Miller's thinking is on this. Why in the WORLD would they punish US for something a completely different association is doing? We have absolutely ZERO to do with them. Our bills are paid on time and we have nothing outstanding with them. Now I'm looking for another appliance repair company. This isn't a difficult feat, trust me. I just can't wrap my head around why Harry Miller would rather lose our business than repair our machines and get paid. read more

While the sales lady was amazing, Customer service is poor. We bought a brand new Maytag washer & dryer. THE dryer broke in less then 2 weeks. They were not able to do anything about it. I get they do not work on anything but the speed queens BUT brand new breaks. I asked to return & buy the more $ speed queens & they said there is nothing they can do. read more

I have used Harry Miller for over 40 years. I doubt that I will ever go back knowing that they do not stand by a product that I have had for less than a week. I understand that the Brand ( Amana) I purchased is normally not serviced by Harry Miller but who doesn't stand by a product delivered less than one week ago!! The washing machine I bought NEVER worked. I am beyond disappointed. I went to Harry Miller instead of a big box store. I thought going to a neighborhood small business was the right thing to do. Still waiting for a call. Actually 2 calls one for my wife and one for me. My wife stopped in to look at a washing machine the sales woman said the item is being unboxed and will be in the showroom today. And I stopped in on my way home and a salesman Frank was arguing with me that she said she was making an order or some crap. Totally contrary to what my wife said and I got her on the phone to verify. So Frank says what's the model number, he didn't even know what I was looking for when he told me they didn't have it. So he said he would call me when they expected one in. 3days ago. No calls from either one. I just want to thank them for the crappy service because it caused me to to take the drive to ABT. They were great, friendly and the place is amazing. Way less than Harry Miller but I only had the online price to go by. Back to a happy wife and life. read more

I jumped the gun (so to speak) when I gave Harry Miller Appliances (Alsip, Illinois) a five star rating a few days back when the salesman confidently assured me that an appliance delivery would be made today (7/27/20)...I received a call at 06:30 advising that delivery had to be made several days later b/c of a truck "breakdown"...We immediately went to the store to cancel and while there we saw delivery trucks being loaded. They did not appear to be "broke down". The sales person didn't try explaining what we witnessed at their loading dock. As a retired military senior with limited physical abilities, this treatment/way of doing business is a slap in the face. Stay away from Harry Miller Appliances in Alsip, Illinois. read more

I would give zero stars if I could! The customer service is not just awful - it's non-existent. Bought my mother a washer and it has never worked right. She has had the machine for 10 days, so we called the store expecting they would be helpful, but they did nothing. They referred us to Whirlpool and we will be charged a minimum of $99 to fix a brand new washer. Harry Miller's policy is that they do not service this brand of washer. So they are happy to sell you shitty, non-working products, but do not stand behind their products or sales. In this day of small businesses trying so hard to stay afloat, we wanted to support a small business instead of going to a big-box store. Though I can't attest to the appliance sales aspect of this business, I will say go elsewhere for service. I was recently charged $107 to have a "service man" come out, have me turn on the dryer for him because he could not figure out how to, look it over and take a quick look inside, and tell me I need a new dryer. It literally took him longer to write up my bill then to service the dryer. When I questioned the amount of the bill the service man informed that was just company policy to charge such a ridiculous amount to come out an do NOTHING. I sent an email and was directed to the "president of the company" who never returned my call. Thanks Harry Miller! I bought my new washer and dryer at Sears due to your poor "service." read more

Great place to do business with, purchased a Speed Queen washer and dryer after the state of the art ones I purchased at Lowes broke and were too expensive or complicated to fix. It was recommended to me to purchase a Speed Queen because of their reliability and quality workmanship. Went to Harry Miller and purchased them there. I should have known better and went there in the first place my parents and in laws always purchased from Harry Miller. Avoid the big box stores and stick with the small family business. Their service was great I was in and out. But remember if you take the appliance home with you they will not come to hook it up, they will only hook up when it is delivered and that usually runs about $85.00. 4 stars instead of 5 because of that policy. read more
