Rude employees. My husband needed to get a couple things for work so we went to Menards. They only had one of the two wires he needed. We get the one wire they had and go to the checkout. We're headed to the checkout and see a line of people at one lane but see a light come on a couple lanes down. We walk to the checkout that just opened and the cashier rolled her eyes and said "I was going to get someone else from the other line who had already been waiting". Wow, what a great deal I got on a new mattress today. I shopped everywhere online to help save myself gas in just running around town looking. It seems like "a mattress in a box" is the latest greatest thing but I did not want a mattress made entire out of gel memory foam. I don't believe they will last as long as a real mattress with coil springs. And other big box stores are now selling them via online only. I wanted to walk into a store and pick one up today. I'm giving my granddaughter a new bed for her birthday on Wednesday. I purchased a Serta "Radnor" medium firmness full size mattress. BUT, Menards is advertising an 11% Rebate on everything which I did not know about, so my deal was sweetened. This particular mattress does have a layer of memory foam on top of the traditional coil springs. Also, the price tags above each "model" of mattress say In Stock or Special Order, BUT don't be fooled. Get your SKE number and then go look in their inventory in the back. Yes it is available to look through with assistance from them (there are little signs telling you this). Mine was marked Special Order but upon looking through their inventory we found mine In Stock. There are also discounted red tag mattresses available along the back wall if you can a better deal. The sales associate pulled out a mattress cart to move it with and called for assistance in loading. The helpful man was ready right after checking out and he and myself put the mattress in my little 5 by 8 ft trailer easily. read more

This particular Menards has outstanding employees. If honey & I can't find what we need in Greenwood IN we often take a road trip to the Camby IN location. Then go down a ways to Gray Brothers Cafeteria (Mooresville IN) for our dinner. Today being Monday, I opted for a scavenger hunt to the Camby IN store. Wanted to get in, find what I placed in my virtual cart (my Menards app), pay, & get home before rush hour. Could this be done? Let's find out :). Found the camera WiFi security bulb (by Energizer) immediately. Menards app is quite handy. It'll inform you exactly where the stuff you need is inside the store. I'll be testing this handy dandy bulb here in a bit. I hope it works. Couldn't find the last two items but did find an employee who was eager to help. He was on a forklift (Garden Center) & got off simply to help. THANK YOU dude for doing this on the fly. Appreciate it & you. He walked with me as he checked the system. Needless to say, what was needed wasn't where it was suppose to be so he got another employee who had just been with Menards for a month. Yes, I'm the type who asks a lot of questions while searching for things. The newer employee (male) had to get the manager to find the last two things. Did she know her stuff? YES. The three of us walked right up to the items & the newer male employee placed the items into my cart. Wow. I love love love this type of customer care from the Camby IN store. Big bonus today as I have a very bad back. He was unaware of that fact but I do appreciate his kindness to & for my regard. That act made my day brighter TBH. Last two items were raised garden beds (six) & folding chairs (eight). Sure, honey & I will continue to visit the Menards closer to home. If it's gonna be a nice day, I'll more than likely go to Camby IN location. People are way nicer in a more laid back environment with less crazy traffic issues (accidents). Wished I had the names of the female manager with the two gentlemen that assisted me. Unfortunately I didn't think to memorize the names. When this review is read by whomever, it is my hope that this store blossoms further. The Camby IN store far exceeds my expectations each & every single time. How long did this scavenger hunt take? Let's see, I began at 2pm, got this all done & missed rush hour back in Greenwood IN by 3pm. That's in construction on I69N. Whew. Menards is one of my favorite stores. You can get a little bit of everything here and their prices are typically competitive. My husband and I shop here frequently, as he's a contractor and I'm a mixed media artist that also enjoys working on our home and gardening. They also carry pet products. The dog and cat food that they carry are the low quality brands. So I can't speak to their prices. But I do know that they have the best price around on the large containers of Tidy Cat cat litter, without sales and coupons. As long as you commit to sending them out in the mail, they often have rebates on items in store. Our favorite is when they run a flat percentage rate rebate of ALL purchases between specific dates. It's the perfect time to stock up on things we use often and to purchase large ticket items. The only complaint that I could find about this location is employee knowledge of where items are located. We have gotten frustrated several times by being sent back and forth across the large store, several times, by different employees that just don't seem to know much about their own departments even. The paint department has shockingly little knowledge past how to operate the paint mixer. But, their employees are typically friendly and do TRY to be helpful. read more

I honestly wish I could give a negative number. My girlfriend and I are in process of training a service dog and we were at Menards today. He's a pup and quite reactionary still. I was buying several things and I was probably spend a few thousand dollars today. My girlfriend just commented on how Max was being a good boy and at that moment another German Shepherd looking dog started loosing it mind behind us or to the side. Max only barked back as defense of myself and my girlfriend. I got Max under control almost immediately. We were on the way to the other end of the store and we were ordered outside with our dog. I said maybe do some research before you order customers out of your store. She acted as if she could care less. She said our dog was scaring customers which I can definitely understand because of his size. She didn't bother to talk with the other person about the other dog. Nope toss the first person out of the store I guess who's got a dog. Max has been in training for some time. Just finished paying my credit card account off with your store and cutting up my card. This was my first visit to a Menards. What a versatile store! They have windows, doors, playgrounds, moving supplies, groceries, water purifiers, lighting, and so much more! I enjoyed the browse! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they were quite limited on moving box sizes, and that's what I went to this store for. When I pack for a move I like to pack in boxes small enough to lift, but their boxes were all really large, or really small. I ended up buying 2 large boxes, and the cashier was extremely friendly! If I'm looking for home goods in the future... I'd visit here again. read more

I just got kicked out of Menards in Camby for not wearing a mask. The previous week I never wore a mask and bought several items. They are are a private company and are free to do what they wish, however that being said I will never set foot in a Menards store or shop online from Mendards EVER again. They do not respect freedom. I only went to Mendards because they were closer to where I live than Lowes. I gladly left Menards and went to Lowes which is maybe 5 minutes farther down the road where they respect freedoms. Thank you Lowes for respecting an individuals right to choice and supporting freedom. I have been a Menards customer for decades but they have succeeded in losing me as a customer for life. July 20 evening I went in to purchase an exterior door. I dealt with Trea. We went through the design my own process after I was told that the style of door I wanted I could not get in black. Again, I said black and told Trea this about 20 times. After the design process, I did not see on the printout that I was provided that the door was black. I mentioned this to Trea and he got very hostile and said "I told you I can't get you this door in black" Now mind you, I said black about 20 times and he knew I wanted black. This is why he asked me if I also wanted it black on the interior side of the door. I then very surprisingly looked at him and said, haven't I said black about 21 times now? He looked at my like a deer with headlights shining in the eyes. Needless to say Menards, which I loved up until last night, lost about 2K worth of business that I am now either giving to Lowes or Home Depot. read more

I'm a big box store geek and love looking for new products and shopping for things I want to replace in my home. The employees have always been very friendly and helpful locating products. After mentioning my problem with out of stock lighting they offered to order the lights which the other stores had not mentioned. The order was placed and lighting was delivered to this location within a week. Once it arrived Menards contacted me as soon as it arrived. Clean, well organized store with mature and helpful staff who feel confident approaching the customers instead of avoiding us. This location appears to have more selections and in stock products than the other Menards we shop at. When I can't locate something in Avon this has become my go to store. Kitchen counter order was WORST experience ever. After paying for a new quartz countertop in early Sept 2019, here it is a week before Thanksgiving (11 weeks later) and order is still not at the manufacturer yet to be cut. I have doubts I will have it by Christmas. I have made weekly calls to learn status of my order and am told Sandy will re-send it. "Should hear back by Monday" I am told. Meanwhile I await an email confirmation from manufacturer when they receive my order. Then, it will be one more template (the 4th or 5th)to be shipped to me for a final approval, at which time I am to have their recommended contractor come out and give a final approval of measurements, then, maybe, just maybe, the mfr will begin cutting my top and ship it to store. I ll give them 1 star for being nice. I have remained polite and respectful throughout yhe process, but you need to know the customer is not their top priority. read more

Ordered $3400 worth of cabinets of course had to be special ordered waited my weeks for them to come in..menards tells me they have everything so time start on my kitchen. Get my cabinets tore out and start putting up new cabinets had to make several trips them all to find out they are missing one of my base cabinets. Got told by the person in the special order pickup area that he "was not wasting anymore of his f***ing time looking for my stuff"...great customer service. I left to cool down and went back today to speak with a manager. They have to order the cabinet so I have to wait what I'm assuming will be a few weeks to get and that was the only thing he could do other say sorry. Asked if I could everything and pay for it since the 11% is going on and they had to reorder one of my cabinets just to make me feel better about didn't even entertain the offer. Also was told they DO NOT inventory special orders they just assume all is there. Needless to say I will never shop at menards after this experience. Absolute joke. No inventory on merchandise that has already been paid for! Now bet they count every penny of their stuff so they don't lose money. #menards 3167 keep up the garbage job! read more
