I was trying to find someone out in the lawn and garden area to ask a question. I see a group of…read morethree workers talking, well should I say complaining using the F word and carrying on and on about how somebody doesn't know what the F they're doing. I finally go up to one of the ladies and ask if they had an item I was looking for,she said, "I don't know." I said well I looked online before I came, and it showed it. She said, "well let me go ask so-and-so, and see if they know." As she's walking to go ask them, she looked up high and she goes well right there is what you're looking for. She goes to get the forklift driver, when she comes back, I said, "I don't see what I'm looking for can you show me where you see it?" She said right there. She pointed to a bunch of bales of straw. I had asked for pine straw not straw. They literally just ignored me. So, I just decided to leave. I would like to say that this location for many years had been my favorite spot for all my outdoor needs. There were three staff members particularly last year that were very helpful and very friendly. They would do whatever they could to help you out. This new crew could care less about the customer and helping someone out. I was literally shocked.

I placed an online order for Flavacol to pickup at the store…read more I received a phone call letting me know they didn't actually have any in store and would order it for me. then i would receive a call when it arrived so i could come pick it up. i got another call from another employee letting me know the same thing a different day lol. very nice they were on it! and when my order was ready for pickup i was notified immediately by phone and email. when i walked in i didn't have to say much someone was already walking to grab my bag. obviously this is a hardware store but they do sell a variety of ends!

I'm pretty self sufficient, but I could NOT find the items I was looking for. I found Angel working in a nearby aisle and he was super gracious. Turns out the items had been stocked somewhere completely different, but he was able to track them down, and he even got me a different cart so I could more easily get them to my car. I know he was extra busy but taking the time to help reminded me that there are decent humans out here. Coincidence that Angel helped with a church project? You be the judge.

I was looking for some phlox and the plants all seemed to be mixed together so it was hard to find. The garden manager was friendly and told me they were sold out. Dang. I did pick up some seeds and deck cleaner. Prices on most items are more reasonable than other big box stores. This store is fairly popular and was crowded with shoppers. The lines were long to check-out, but moved quickly. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Parking is plentiful. I'd recommend going early morning to avoid the crowds.

I bought 12 bags of fast set concrete from Lowes to set into 8 footers for a deck in Plainfield…read more Found I was short, so I bought 3 bags of fast set Quick-Crete from this store. The 12 bags I had poured had hardened enough to stand on by the time I got back, about 1 hour. Several hours after I poured 3 bags they were still soft as soup. The next morning I noticed they were still soft. I spoke to the manager "Ger-ette" he asked me sarcastically, "what do you want me to do?" I said I want a return or exchange. He said to bring the bags in. I said ok. Then he added narrative, unopened in the bag. I said how else can I realize that the concrete was bogus unless it was poured, do you want me to dig it out and bring the mess in? Then he denied me any type of refund or exchange. He mention every type of wise guy excuse to justify his denial. Reminded me of a classmate in business college that I outscored. I guess Ill let him punk me out of 3 bags of concrete. The moral of the story here summed up in two words for ya, Bad Business.

But my Lowes doesn't sell compactor trash bags for some reason and I have been going to the Bloomington store because it avoids traffic with practically all interstate travel for me. This Lowes does carry trash bags for my trash compactor and I saved a trip elsewhere because I came to Avon to shop at Best Buy and eat lunch. We also took a look at the outside garden department but only about half the stock was out because it's still early in the planting season. I used the check out in the garden area and got quick service. I found a garden tool I didn't know I needed until I saw it in the lane.

I was able to find all of my items without having to look around this big store by myself not having a clue where things are. The employees are amazing and definitely appreciated by customers like me who just needed light bulbs but have not idea where to look. They also have great deals. I got 150 tall garbage bags for $9.99 what a steal. The prices are great, the store is very clean and organized. Come here!

It appeared to have bean opened, had minor scratches, parts were not labeled, and was not at all what I expected.
