We ordered a shower door for our new bathroom. Lowe's gave the installer who they recommended the WRONG door. The installer had issues from the beginning. He damaged the side walls and left four visible holes. While on the phone with Lowe's trying to figure out what to do about getting correct door, the installer left without a word. Lowe's and Home Depot have traded places as to who is number one. The same goes with me. Although Mooresville only has a Lowe's there is a Home Depot in Greenwood. I remember when Lowe's first came on the scene they tried to outdo Home Depot and did very well for years in my book. From the staff always asking if they can help you find something (and they still do for the most part), to sealing up their concrete floors and making the store more clean they seem to always one up their competition. Today I think they still do very well keeping their store clean, keeping items in stock and delivering appliances in a timely fashion. HD tends to court the contractor who buy in bulk while Lowe's goes after the DIYer. I know Wall Street doesn't like this but I do. Living in the west, Ace Hardware stores were twice the size they are here with many stand alone buildings so naturally the inventory was vast. Not so good here in the Midwest with older stores and smaller shopping center footprints type stores. This is where Lowe's excels by having pretty much everything you need. I have said it before and I'll say it again I am not a fan of buying merchandise online. I need to see it, touch it, try it on, etc. before I buy and I want the convenience of walking in and walking out with my item; not waiting for delivery. A big box store such as Lowe's will beat out the online competition every day with in stock items and immediate availability. read more

This is one of the best Lowe's. The employees are friendly and helpful. They always have a lot of stock. It is never overrun with people so you can shop and not be consistently having to move out of the way . They have some of the nicest bathrooms in a business like this I have ever seen. Purchased an entry door and paid for installation September of 2021. Door was not installed correctly and jam up. Continue to try to get installation to come back, encountered a few no shows during middle of work day, installation finally "corrected" february of 2022. By winter of 2023 the door is falling off the house. During the winter the door would freeze into place wehre my 10 year old could not open the door. ONce it warmed up it would open but the frame is coming off the house. Called Lowe's in December to get help and no reply, called back in Jan of 2024 due to frame coming off the house and finally got answer in June of 2024 past the warranty. But this was after the run around, call the installers, no call the door manufacturer, no you can't call directly you have to go through the store, for 5 months. HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

(Career side of things) I started working at this Lowes location in Mooreville, IN. The first few days was sitting with someone (5 of us) and doing the normal hire processes. VIdeos, setting up usernames and passwords. After that, we were instructed to come in the 4th day and do more training videos. At this point the 5 of us are coming in different times so I am alone. I get no greeting, I go in to the breakroom, then work my way out to clock in. I go to training room and start these videos. This goes on for 5 days total. I get to the point on the second day where I am doing training videos way outside of what I am hired in to do because I am getting no instructions. Reason why, is because after the first 3 days, I never seen a manager, lead, or even associate even acknowledge my existence there. I had to go start wandering around the store asking different people what I should be doing and no one can give me a answer other than to sit in the room I been sitting in. After the 4th or 5th day of coming into this room and sitting for 4 hours, I do it again and I finally get put with someone to start learning my job on the floor. But the second day I come in, I am scheduled to do this job alone. I don't know what I am doing and no one wants to help because it is not their job (Not their department). Then the day after that (I am fulfillment, pick items people buy through a app and stage for pickup), I get in, Alone again with no one to teach or help, see a order for full size windows. I find them but they are way to big for one person to pick up, and they were on a middle shelf at chest height. I once again run around the store asking for help or who can help me with no one wanting to because they are not in the same department as me. They said I needed to use power equipment to pick these items, but I have not even been trained on that yet either. I have 20 years warehouse experience, and I have no problem using the equipment, but I also know with that experience that I should not touch any of it till I am signed off on it. So I run around the store again asking around and still no help and pretty much ignored. Wrap all this up, this store I have heard many rumors about and why it is a horrible place to work. These people in here only care about doing only what they are instructed to do, they have no laid-out plans on what to do with new hires past the first couple days. They scheduled me to be alone with no training. I really hope this is a warning to some and an eye opener to corporate that this is not how to run things. read more

This was my first visit to this location and found the store employee's helpful except in the gardening area. They seemed like we were disturbing them looking for a specific item we couldn't find after thoroughly searching. The 10th St. and Avon store was out of an item we needed but Mooresville had in stock. So here we are picking it up. The store was clean, well organized, no clutter in isles and prices were clearly marked on thing I was interested in. I like Lowes and shop at often. complete installation disaster. Ceramic tiles. Uneven tiles. Missing grout. 2 colors of grout. Mortar and grout globs everywhere. Over 50 spots of mortar and grout Throughout floors. Damaged personal property, furniture and got mortar all over my porch. Sidewalk. Garage floor. Driveway. Back patio. This house is a new build and all areas of concrete have been damaged. Installer wants to patch areas, but I feel a charge for $9,000 just for the installation, it should be done right and not patched!! lowes refuses to send a representative of Lowe's to inspect the low quality workmanship. Told me a repair is all they will do using same incompetent installer! I'm about to refuse the repair and file a small claim against them!! Cis timer service was a joke. The store won't help. And the Manager for Lowe's installation support would not allow me to speak with any else. I just lost $12,000. I'm so sick inside!!!! read more

If I could give this joke of a place a 0 star review I would in a heartbeat. purchased a washer from them and within 1 year the appliance went out. I've gotten the run around for 2.5 weeks total. Service repairs have been rescheduled twice without our consent. So far the only solution we've gotten was a $25 gift card. that's literally comical to me. I've spoken to corporate, lowes service advantage, managers, and nothing. To top it all off, they laughed when I told them my son was disabled and I don't have the option of sitting around in a laundromat for hours on end to do my laundry. not sure how it could possibly get any worse. don't give this place the time of your day... read more

Lowes lost my business. Last fall I bought 3 bushes at half price. The sales person told me as long as I kept receipt and tag that they are guaranteed for one year as long as I also bought the dead bushes back. Today I went to lowes to return them for either credit or refund. The manager advised me the 1 year guarantee does not apply to markdowns. I did not see that policy then it today. Their sales people are either poorly trained or they lie to get a sale. It might not be much but I wasted $30 because I believed their salesperson. read more

Delivery personnel are incompetent and incapable. Do not purchase an appliance from Lowe's as they use a private delivery and install team.

I am not a "hands on" kind of maintenance guy...I usually make matter worse than better. Having confessed that, there are some tasks that even I can do. And when I need a tool or piece, I always go to our local Lowe's. The folks that work there are helpful and aren't hard to find like in some other big box stores. They usually have the items I need, but if they don't, they are willing to order them for me. I don't spend a lot of time waiting in line either. For me, Lowe's wins over Menard's. The workers seem friendly and happier in their jobs overall. They acknowledge and speak to you. Menard's has started getting better about this, but Lowe's still reigns supreme. The selection is great. Lowe's doesn't try to be a grocery store. They also allow us to bring in our dogs which is way cool and often convenient because they're with us oftentimes. I do find it disappointing that they have taken their pet section out. At least, I can't find where they've moved it anyway. read more

I have spent thousands at Lowes in the last few years. Today, they lost my business. I wanted a quote on quartz or granite countertops. Was told nobody was available - have to make an appointment. One person working the departmentand she is booked for days to come. There were at least 2 of us waiting for help in the 20 minutes I was there. Lost business? Understaffed maybe? Went to pick up items and also check on order made online. Customer service associate tried to be helpful but had trouble tracking our order. She called over manager to assist and she told us the order had not even shipped. We decided to cancel that order since they had the items in the store. She told us she canceled it. When we asked for a receipt for the cancellation, she said she was unable to cancel it. WHAT? She straight out LIED to us about the cancellation and only admitted it wasn't canceled when we requested a receipt. Unbelievable. We can handle poor service, but being lied to is absolutely unacceptable. read more

May 22 2020 I paid in advance at mooresville ind store #1168 for corrugated roofing. I was told that doing this would make it a priority and it would be in sooner. BTW, their warehouse had 131 in stock but hadn't shipped to store yet. 5 days later I called to check on the status since no one had called. The sales person, Daniel, had taken my phone # and added it in computer at the time of my purchase. So, when I called I was told that there was no order in there with that #. She finally found it under my name but with a # no where close to mine! I was told the order was not in. Few days later I called again, was told order came in that morning. Great, when can I pick it up. She transfers me to roofing where man says hold & I will check on it...I get disconnected! I call back, get a different service rep, apparently there are 10 of them. She finally finds my order, says it is not in. Ok, but I was just told it is, why is that? She hangs up...this happens 3 more times with a different rep each time! When I would ask to be transferred to store mgr they refused. The 4th call back a rep again says no order but can get it from another store. Hhmm...at time of purchase I was told they can not ship from other stores but my order is a priority. Ok, so I ask 4th rep where is the store it would be coming from, she says Beech Grove IN, a few miles away. Great will it be here in a few days? Oh no, it will be at least 7 days or more! Biting my tongue by now I say go ahead and order it in then. Today is june 1st, still no roofing! Wrote to home ofc., no answer yet. All I want is the 16 panels of roofing I paid for so I can fix the dang hole in my roof! What is wrong with this store and their totally incompetent employees? I bought two five gallon pails of Olympic Maximum Clear Wood Sealant. Roughly $300 worth of product..I took them home, we shook them thoroughly, and we put two gallons on my picket fence that Saturday morning. We noticed that the sealant had a golden rod color but assumed that it dried clear like the container was labeled. Many sealants have a cloudy color or a light hue before it dried. The wood had been dry for several days and we allowed it to dry for over 24 hours before checking it. It dried a mustard yellow on our wood picket fence. I called the manager and she said that I should bring it back in and she would take care of it. When I got there I had to wait for awhile, the manager wouldn't see me and told an employee to tell me that she didn't know of anything and didn't come out and help me. The store clerk did give me my money back - so that's good. But now I get to spend another day stripping my fence and getting it ready for the product I will buy somewhere else. One staff member was very kind. The other staff member seemed uninterested in helping but wasn't rude or anything so I gave them two stars. read more

Will call and pickup here is an absolute joke. You can go a day after you have ordered your stuff and they still will not have it pulled. Let alone the consistent problems that present themselves with even being able to find your order in their system or what part of the store they try to pass you off on. Half the time they don't help me load my lumber either. 10/19/17 Just had to buy more lumber from here and strained my back in front of their store trying to load my lumber which they didn't help me load at all. read more

I have spent over $6,500 on laminate flooring for our new home and now a month later I still am unable to move into that very home because I STILL do not have floors down in my house. I ordered and paid for my floors in full on 3/29/15, lost 2 days of vacation time which was to be used for the installation of our floors and both days all that was done was 2 hours of work and leveling put down on the floors. Day one started off with the people coming out to the job and getting stuck in my neighbors front yard and causing damage to his lawn and having this poor 70 year old man pull them out with his own truck. All of that to then be told they didn't have enough leveling materials and would lay what they could but due to moisture in the house they couldn't lay any floors. (Mind you no mention of any moisture ever being a problem from estimate to installation so this was surprising to us to say the least). Day two started off good, they were cutting and unpacking floor and beginning to install when after going thru 2 boxes to only find out that the floor is completely unusable now because it has sat so long and absorbed so much moisture that it is warped. These are professional flooring installers that man handled the floor opened to the point that it is damaged and not usable because the top layer is coming off and the tongues are broken off as well?!?!?! They sent someone out from the store in order to verify the issue and let me know that we are at a stand still until we can get the moisture out of the house, they come pick up the damaged flooring and reorder (only after they get their damaged floor back) and then they will come back out to try it all over again (God only knows how long that will take). Only after we go out and spend MORE money on dehumidifiers and resolve the issue ourselves. Had we known there should be no moisture and this been communicated to us, we would have ensured there was no moisture in the house. We don't know what someone doesn't tell us... this is what we paid them over $6K for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So needless to say I am out a TON of money, 2 vacation days I cant get back and a house that I am not able to move into because I still a month later have no floors installed that I have paid for only for them to sit and get ruined by moisture? I will be closing my Lowe's credit card once this is all over and I will never shop at their stores ever again. I hope it was worth it! read more
