DO NOT BUY A SNOWBLOWER OR LAWN EQUIPMENT FROM THEM! They are extremely rude and will not help if there is a problem. Snowblower had a surging idle that would only run somewhat ok with choke on. Allen Teatro the store manager was extremely rude. I don't even know how he is working there. Menards was a store that, for 6 weeks, was completely out of PPE and cleaning supplies. Then, the day the gov made some new decree mandating new rules in stores, all of a sudden Menards mandated mask wearing in their store. Oh, you don't have a mask (perhaps because Menard's didn't maintain a supply over the past 6 weeks)? Well all of a sudden Menards can sell you one. At $5 a mask. Not for a box, just for one. Oh, and their employees? Well for some reason, they're exempt and can be seen walking around the store mask-less. Menards is basically the Walmart of home improvement - cheap, chinese knockoff and imitation products sold under a bunch of fake company names which all really belong to Menards. Do your neighbor a favor and shop at your local lumberyard or your local hardware store instead and support your community instead price-gouging fascists. read more

absolutely frustrated with Menards ordered a $200 item online, didnt realize they had an old address on file until i submitted the order then it was too late as it turns out. I immediately sent an email inquiry but it took them 2 days to respond but by then it was on its way and i had no recourse per their customer service dept and the local store manager. There is no way to contact them by phone in case of a situation like this you can not get an #800 number form anywhere to speak with someone. read more

i am very dissatisfied with menards. i ordered a custom made counter & received it cracked!!!!! then as an insult i received $44 that must be used at menards!!!!!! i have been without a sink which has cost me extra money because we have to purchase food from restaurants since we can't use the kitchen sink!!!!!! i have spent over $3000 on that counter, ceiling fan & other items. though i plan to do other major home improvements, i will not be shoppng at menards again!!!!!! read more

Menards,....where there is a lot of low quality crap from China, which usually lasts less than nine months, then you throw it out in the landfill and go back to Menards and buy it again. Their lumber is the worst quality available. During the pandemic they keep saying everything is 11% off but they've raised prices up to 100%, and that 11% is in the form of a rebate card; you have to mail your receipt in and the rebate can only be used there on more junk. Totally outraged at the service I received on a pickup order. Had to stop at an entrance gate where I was approached by a young man not wearing a mask. Came right up to the window and had to verify my order. Second stop another man had to come to my window and once again had to verify the order. He was wearing a mask. Then when leaving I again had to stop at the gate where the maskless man once again had to approach the car to verify my order. This time he coughed into the car without a mask. I will never use their services again. Pickup services are meant to make the purchase safer. This purchase totally put me at risk. read more

We were just serviced by Ken in the lumber department and he made our day! We were looking for a very obscure piece of material as a resourceful alternative for a project and Ken made it his personal mission to find something that would work. He had a variety of ideas, saw our vision, asked good questions, and even climbed a ladder with a bum knee to come to our aid (we would have caught him if needed! ;) In a world where people aren't being very kind right now, it was so refreshing to have someone go out of their way to be extremely kind. My 81 year old widowed mother is redoing her home on a fixed income,I took her to Menards to look at lighting. A huge Innovatory on display...oh on display but NOT in store you have to order MANY of them. So she did she ordered 2 and bought one that was actually in store. About a weeks wait, picked them up,only one fit the space of the 2 that were ordered. So off to Menards to return the other one, and that was disappointing for my mother as she really liked the fixture. At the returns she was told it was a special order and there would be a 35% restocking FEE,...so you find a display in the store you want it,but they have to order it because they don't keep that model in store,they do NOT say 'oh this is a special order"....nope they just say "we have to order that one" and "sign here saying you are ordering these",they didn't tell her by signing that she was agreeing to give them 35% of the cost back,if she needed to return them for any reason. SO an 81 year old woman who is a widowed living on a fixed income must give Menards 35% of the cost for a restocking fee ( because it didn't fit) even tho it wasn't "stocked" in the first place. However they can wave that fee if she could find one in store to buy. What they did is poor business,horrible! Taking anyone's hard earned money for a restocking fee is flat out WRONG,add that she is 81,widowed and on a fixed income...SHAME ON MENARDS!!! read more
