They don't offer motorized shopping carts for people with disabilities. Just because someone has trouble walking doesn't mean they can't do home improvements. Will be paying more to shop at Lowe's in Marion until this Menards shows it's welcoming to ALL shoppers. read more

I always love going to Menards, too bad it is a bit of a drive for me. They have an larger garden section than any other store, they often have good sales (marked with red labels), and they seem to have a little bit of everything from a small grocery to their massive home improvement specialty. This is pretty much like every other Menard's. It's a close competitor of Lowe's and Home Depot, but the prices tend to be lower. I've gotten great deals on hardware and building supplies at Menard's. It's a big-box hardware store, with all the usual items. There's a decent garden center. There are snacks up front, and a surprisingly large grocery and pet food section in the middle rear of the store. Light bulbs, grills, shelving, etc.; even some trailer and automotive supplies. Generally great service, and a very good selection. One minor drawback is there is no one to cut lumber if you just need a few cuts. Still, worth coming here just for wood. I got odds and ends: floodlights, shelves, candy, mulch. All good deals. I'll be back. read more

If you are needing lumber or any product that you need to go out back I do not recommend this Menards store. You have to scan your requisition paper yourself to get access to enter while an associate watches from a nearby booth. Efficiency and an effort to get you in and out are not a priority. The young guy at the pickup inquiry counter had the attitude that he's doing me a favor and gave me a vague answer of where to find my 73 treated 2x6x12 planks with no offer to help load. Fortunately I am in good enough health to load them. As I was loading, other customers were as frustrated as I was trying to figure out where their products were. Im sure they're going to use the understaffed excuse but I seen associates there. Just not helping . The 11 percent rebate had me thinking it was a good place to go. The poor service definitely made me change my mind. Stick with locally owned businesses. read more

I'm writing about an online order. I ordered Christmas lights from Menard's. I looked for hours to find exactly what I needed...3, 100 sta-lit sylvania, soft white for a cost of $77. The lights arrived in a reasonable of time. Now my problem! The lights had obviously been returned by someone....one strand, only some of the lights worked and had a bluish tint...the other two had a yellowish tint...not what I ordered. Okay...just return, right? GOOD LUCK! They make it impossible to get a hold of them! I tried every way I could think of to call...they don't have ANY means of communication except "send an email i decided at that point to read reviews ( I know..too late) and read about their horrible customer service. I gave up....knew they had a system that wasn't going to allow me to get my money back. I just want to let people know....MENARD'S is not a customer friendly company. So much for ordering from smaller companies...Amazon here i come! read more

I was looking for different kinds of lighting and Rachal Manager of Department Lighting was great, she helped me find everything I needed, including walking into another area to get another kind of light. She made me her priority. I really appreciated that and will be back when I need other things for my home.
