This store is not on my return list due to them not having any, I repeat ANY, cashiers open. I abhor self checkout for some simple reasons. Primarily putting someone out of work as the self checkouts as they are are only the beginning. Next is that am doing the company's work for them and not getting any tangible benefits. Despite allowing all the contractors enter to get shopping I was being blocked from walking 5 ft into the man-trap to just pickup a package via locker and leave, when I asked if I could do that and I had no intention of entering the store I was accused of "Getting pissy" - all I did was ask if I could simply retrieve my package from the locker and leave. I should of just walked off and let the item sit to receive a refund, kinda ridiculous only way I could of gotten what I needed from the store at a fair price was to order it online for delivery anyways. Some Ego employee on a power trip decided it was their priority to provide trash customer service by giving me a rough time with a very reasonable request considering the doors where already open. They had done one pane, but not the other, and no one had left a message to say it was complete. When I got the bill I was even more surprised. It was the price I was quoted, plus additional expenses I was not informed would be added for trim and labor. Very disappointed in the whole experience. I like Ace Hardwares in town, but this one will not be my go-to store.
