The froyo was good but we were so put off by how filthy the entire place was. Super unsanitary. The glass doors, rug, floor, tables, countertops all looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a week. There was drips of ice cream coming off the blinds. We had to leave because there wasn't anywhere clean to sit. It even smelled bad in there. There were four workers there just visiting. Menchie's is ALWAYS a good choice. The tables are always sticky and dirty, so that is something to take note of. It is best to order and eat elsewhere. They have little sample cups that allow you to test the flavors before you commit to putting them in your cup which I think is the perfect amenity. I love, love, love the boba and marshmallow cream that I drizzle on top of my frozen yogurt each time. I love coming here with friends, or on "family dates" where my son can pick out exactly what he likes to top his fro yo with. Great location, and it's normally not ever too busy. read more

I have been very impressed with this store during the pandemic. They require masks, and sanitizer, and have taken steps to make sure their store is safe for the customers. Besides that, the food is fantastic, and has something for everyone. I was a worker at menchies for about 5-6 months. I was assistant manager. I had the worst experience working here. Management treated us poorly, didn't care about our health, and put us in dangerous situations. One of my coworkers ended up in the hospital due to the AC being broken for multiple days. It was over 100 degrees outside, and we all ended up sick I begged them to either let us close, or leave because we were all out in a dangerous situation. (this was my 6th night closing in a row.) they refused to let us close even though the candy and topping had gone very bad, workers were in bad condition, and inside was over 95 degrees. I also had been left alone on multiple occasions, with no one to help. (Hence why it is always so dirty in there.) there is never enough workers, but management does not care. They will do anything and everything to make sure they do not have to come in, even if that's leaving menchies to one teenage girl to run. Once I had explained my reasoning of quitting (I still don't know to this day if I was fired or if I quit, either way I wasn't coming back), they had ignored me for more than 2 weeks. Once they replied, I told them how unprofessional it was and explained my frustration, in return, I was called a b**** and to shut my d*** mouth. I hate this place, gave me the worst job experience, and I don't recommend getting a job here unless you want to be treated like a dog. read more

This is a really great place to grab a treat~ The location is nice, with very pleasant and cheery colors that make up the décor of the place. There is a chalkboard to draw on and a place to eat outside with fun music. On top of this Menchie's has a cute logo and characters which can be purchased as pushes, clothes and accessories. This makes the place much more fun to visit. The staff is always smiling and helpful and the flavors they have taste amazing. The flavors are always changing so it is easy to make tons of great combinations. Today I made a combination of piña colada, coconut,vanilla snow foyo and for toppings coconut shavings, whipped cream, mochi, pineapple and strawberries. Pretty good, but flavors not intense enough for me! Located in very convenient, high-traffic area. In Layton, in the Target shopping center, near Jimmy Johns & blocks from the Interstate! Across the street from Cafe Rio, Rod Works, Ross, shoe stores, beauty supplies & much more! If they added more of whatever they use to flavor the frozen yogurt, it would be great! I guess this place is a chain and since I am no frozen yogurt maven had no idea what to expect. We came here on our first trip to Layton (in September) and since I am so far behind on all reviews, I am finally getting around to writing it. The service here is fantastic and we all got a kick out of the Hebrew letter "Chai" on all but one flavor with the saying of something like yes, it's kosher. The decor is cute the plastic multi colored spoons are even adorable. I am not a partaker of the yogurt or sorbet (I like "real" ice cream) but the husband and daughter sure enjoyed it. read more

Just like Farr's Fresh Ice Cream and Frozen Yogurt Cafe. There were a few differences. One Menchie's has all frozen yogurt and sorbet. You can sample the flavors before you commit, which I highly recommend. I did not like all the flavors. I liked Red Velvet the best. Chocolate silk was a second favorite. I did try the Raspberry Pomegranate Sorbet after reading a fellow Yelper and it was really good. I ended up loading my Red Velvet down with a ton of goodies and fruit. What I loved about this place is that they give you little Menchie spoons. It made it feel like it was a little more upscale than Farr's. I enjoyed the enviroment. My wife and I love to come to Menchie's and relax. The staff is really nice and you are free to sample as many flavors as you choose before buying. Since my wife is gluten free it is nice to see what allergens every flavor contains right above the machine. They have a great assortment of flavors both sweet and tart and they rotate them every week or so. I always look forward to the new flavors that will be there when I go. If you are on a date and you stay till close, cross your fingers that Dallin is working. He'll serenade you with his ukulele as part of "Love Songs After Dark". I'm completely serious. Every time we see him we talk about how awesome his music was. On Sundays and Tuesdays they have buy 1 get 1 free large containers of yogurt. Just ask the employees about it. You tell them what kind of yogurt you want, and they will go make it for you. Does it get any better then that, I submit that it does not! read more

Pros: Free waffle bowl Wednesdays Tons of flavor and topping options. Employees are always super friendly and smiling. Always something new to try Dairy free, kosher, fat free options. Everything is one set price, not pay per topping. Con: Some of the flavors are NOT good. But luckily you can sample before you get a big ol cupful of something that tastes like rotten garbage. :P (They aren;t quite that bad but some of their flavors are just not tasty.) I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE their raspberry pomegranate sorbet. ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So is the Chocolate silk. The strawberry lemonade sorbet is also good. I like a lot of their sorbets more than the other flavors, but they do have some good froyo flavors. I lopve the variety of toppings, from cereals and candies to fresh fruits, popping boba and brownie chunks. Once I got the chocolate silk froyo with fresh strawberries and cheescake bites. It was heavenly!!!!!!!! I love that you can get as many toppings as you want and you don't have to pay like $0.59-$1 each topping. It's 39 cents an ounce and that's it! I usually spend about 4.5 bucks and I get a fairly hefty amount of froyo and toppings. The flavors rotate everyday, so if there is one you love, call ahead before going. But its fun to be surprised too. I saw they have a key lime sorbet. I haven't gone when it was on tap, but I hope to try it someday!! There are a couple flavors that sounded good, but when I sampled them they were pretty gross. lol read more

I have been here so many times and love it. Tonight was just terrible I have never seen a place so gross. It started with dirty tables then every single yogurt dispenser was dirty and totally not appetizing. The garbage where you put your taster cups were overflowing. Then when you got to the fruit bar it was a terrible mess with food all out of the containers spilled all over with the serving spoons not clean and touching the other food. Great yogurt! There was a good balance between fruity and desserty (definitely a word) flavors. Not too sweet or too tart. The new flavor, caramel pretzel, is excellent!
