I tried my brothers steak and we both agreed it was the most unique tasting steak we'd ever had in a bad way. My mom ordered a dish that came with rice and it seemed as if it was a type of quick/instant rice and her meal wasn't enjoyable. She said the quality went downhill from previous years. I ordered the duck, and I could hardly cut it, it wasn't tender, it was extremely chewy and the flavor was almost tasteless and what I could taste wasn't good. The sides were better than the duck sadly. My little brothers got burgers and fries and I will say the fries easily best the rest of the food with their salt and skins still on. The prices are steep and are comparable to other "fancy" middle tier restaurants, another side note all of our dishes for 6 people came out within 10 minutes which says something. I wish our experience was different.

We had a chance to eat dinner at the restaurant on site and we were pleasantly surprised at the caliber of the food, well above standard "hotel" dining. This carried through to the food which was served to us at the wedding, again well above what we expected. There are a variety of activities available, but we felt that the property didn't quite rise to the "resort" bar. Again, winter might be completely different.

The food remains good to excellent. It's a relaxed pub atmosphere, with friendly but not intrusive wait staff. The prices range from pub fare to two star restaurant pricing. The prices are fair for the offerings. This time my partner had the burger which he liked a lot (though he regretted not ordering the turkey dip, which is being dropped from the menu for the summer menu.) I had the pork osso buco. I have always made osso buco with veal, so I was intrigued. I'm also in the middle of oral surgery that makes chewing...shall we say challenging? But no worries. The meat literally fell off the bone and the sauce was delicious, a rich, tomato-based affair. The photo is from their website, but mine came with what was described as a parmesan risotto and some nicely prepared, halved butter carrots spears and what appeared to be deep-fried tortilla strips. They were a nice texture contrast. I thought the risotto was just rice. Good rice -- I liked it -- but I didn't find it to be particularly parmesanish. I really think it's a mistake not to do a true risotto. This needed to be creamier. But I nitpick. The kitchen is good, and turns out solid, delicious dishes. I enjoyed a nice banter from the waiter that was never too much. He even comped our dessert when they were out of our first choice. I will absolutely return.
