Visited Woodstock in April. Real quiet and peaceful. This place a longer but easy walk from downtown area. Service was super friendly and fast. Ordered Worthy nachos and poke bowl with tuna. Nachos awesome, poke could use a little less sauce but that just my preference. Shared bathroom with other businesses the only downside. Not the cleanest and toilet not flushing properly.

Poke with tuna (raw)

Order and pay at counter and they bring to your table number. Got a poke bowl that was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because the majority of items on this menu are sandwiches and burgers and American fare, but they did a really nice job with Asian cuisine/flavors. If you look at my photo, it doesn't look great at first glance due to all of the sauces on top, but they actually all blend extremely well and do not taste overwhelming. Rice was perfectly sticky and tuna quality was top tier. They added their own flare and used these sphere shaped peppers, but I wasn't a huge fan of them. I would get this again. Very tasty!

A great local bar--with surprisingly good food. You'll definitely want a reservation, which says a lot about the place. We were honestly surprised by how good the food was. The burgers are excellent, the fries are crisp and because of double frying, and the beef stroganoff was really solid. The wings weren't our favorite, but everything else more than made up for it. You order and pay at the counter, take a number to your table, and the food shows up not long after. Simple setup, and it works.

Bbq chicken sandwich

Very casual. We sat at the bar and enjoyed some great craft beers (too many to choose from) and sandwiches. I had the bbq chicken sandwich and John had the po boy. Both with nicely dressed side salads that included pine nuts and feta. Absolutely delicious. Bartenders stay busy as they are taking orders from guests who are sitting all over the restaurant. It is not walking distance from downtown but a good casual food destination. Great place to hit up after hiking one of the area trails.

Address is incorrect. Took me to a residence. Stopped by for dinner, party for 2. Walk in bubut is very popular so filled up fast. You order as you walk up. You take your drinks and they will bring out your food. Very lively place, loud but not obnoxiously loud. Food was tastefully seasoned. The bacon maple wings were so delicious. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries came with a great garlic aoli to dip in. Great place for dinner, casual and clean.

Nice restaurant tucked on a little hill at the end of town. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The weather was nice so we opted to sit outside on the porch. The menu is on a blackboard wall. You order your food, give them your table number and your food will be brought to you. The menu wasn't extensive; they were out of many delicious sounding items. I got the smash burger with a side house salad. The salad had a maple vinaigrette that I could have drank a gallon of. The burger was very tasty as well. He ordered the wings plain with two separate dipping sauces - buffalo and maple bacon. If you go and order the wings just let them fix yours with the maple bacon and bypass all other flavors. It's also good on your fries. While the food was great and service was great the price is astronomical as just that cost close to $70 and we only drank sodas.

Best blue cheese burger & parmesan truffle fries that I have ever had ... absolute perfection! Would travel all the way across the country again just to come back!!

My family and I went here for dinner while staying in Woodstock. The food was incredible. I had some of my wife's Ceasar salad with chicken, as well. My boys food looked good. Sizes were sufficient. The only reason I didn't do 5 stars was the price. I don't know if it's the area, the restaurant, or inflation, but we haven't had two meals on our entire stay that wasn't over $120. Even breakfast at the hotel was $130. If it weren't for the price, my review would have been a solid 5 stars.

Ambiance

Food; fresh clean and beautifully prepared. Service; friendly, informative and cheerful. Ambiance; you f, hip and rock & roll. Make a reservation! Hard to get into at prime time. Get in line, order your food and they'll bring it to you. Different format , make it fun. Oh and try the doughnuts. They're really french style beignets. Super fun

Bolognese Special
Alexa K.

True family-owned, home-cooking, happy-to-have-you-here vibes. The menu was simple but full of great options. I opted for the special of the day, which was the spaghetti bolognese. It was so unique with the braised beef and a more liquidy sauce, but the flavors were so dang good! The homemade donuts made for a great treat after a heavy meal. Love that the restaurant sources ingredients from local farms. If only more restaurants could be like this!

Drove through Woodstock and stopped here for lunch, enjoyed our meal. I like how you order at the front and they bring it to your table We had local beer and then the lemon chicken Caprese sandwich with the autumn salad and the steak and cheese with fries, both were delicious, would recommend

Marivic R.

The chicken wings were tasteless, the dry rub was none existent. Regular and truffle fries would have been good except there were fries that were hard, chewy, crunchy and soft. One fry I tried eating was sooo hard it's a good thing I didn't chip a tooth. That makes me question, are some of the fries old and refried?!?! You order and pay for your food then the waitress will bring your order, so there's minimum interaction with the wait staff.

The hostess was very persuasive, though not to the point where we chose the full buffet (couple dollars more per person). We stuck with the continental breakfast, which after a cursory tour seemed to have enough options to get us full for the day & road trip back to Boston ahead. They had everything: tea/coffee a la carte service, premade smoothies, specialty pastries, and stuff to make your own lox sandwiches. The smoked salmon was what dreams are made of & I would have eaten the whole board if that was appropriate. My mom & sister would also agree. My sister later grabbed the almond pastry which had a crunchy citrusy part I unfortunately can't name right now. All of us got our own too and were in heaven.

We were looking for a nice place to eat after skiing in Killington (~30 mins away) and managed to get a spot at the bar the day of. I highly recommend calling in advance since they have a lot of regulars that I'm sure will be coming here for the last couple of weeks they stay open. You can order food as a 3 course prix fixe that includes an appetizer, house salad and an entree or you can do à la carte but they do not write the individual prices on the menu (so just be aware if cost is a factor). Food is definitely on the pricier side but food was good. We especially enjoyed our entrees -1) Carté d'Agneau Royale ($10 extra): grilled lamb wrapped with mushroom duxelles and spinach in puff pastry and 2) Duck Breast with a Blackberry Basil Hayden demi glace. I'm not a salad nor a bleu cheese person, but their house salad was surprisingly good! While we were dining, we noticed the bartender, owner, waitresses, all knew their customers by name, asked about their families, and had amazing customer service. You could really tell that they really do care about the people.

I'm honestly shocked the reviews are so bad. While I wouldn't say this was the best "hotel meal"…read moreI've had, it also was far from the worst. We had a 7:00pm reservation and were seated in the middle of the restaurant. We ordered the parker house rolls, tuna carpaccio, and beet & apple salad to share/start. All three were great but I personally liked the rolls and carpaccio more. For mains, my sister got the cod, mom the oxtail, and myself the duck. I didn't try the cod. The oxtail was just okay, a bowl of pasta with meat. Mine appeared to be the most innovative of the 3 but even then was an odd combination of flavors. I had a glass of red wine (pinot noir) to go with my duck & it was passable at first but got pretty hard to finish near the end. At this point we were still hungry & I was yearning after the shishito peppers I saw earlier on the menu. I was so happy when it came out & appeared to be the crowd pleaser. Though not innovative, the flavors aligned just right. For dessert I had to get the profiteroles for the pumpkin element on a fall "leaf peeping" trip. These were unlike anything I've tried and so I definitely enjoyed these. Was definitely a highlight of the meal. Overall, not too bad but also not "elite". Given its Michelin key designation & the Chef's James Beard recognition, I'd expect much more. Additionally, service wasn't positive because it seemed like everyone had an attitude (not that it was lacking at all though).

It seems to be the same kitchen as the Red Rooster, but the quality is far below standard, and prices are exorbitant. The walnut-crusted trout. Fully coated fish filet that was over salted and burnt. It was like eating a salty fish cracker. Actually there was no fish taste whatsoever. Served on a bed of lentils and other veggies. The sauce was a complete mismatch with the salty fish stick. I couldn't eat more than a few bites. The chicken wings. Over fried. So hard they are inedible. There was a casserole with cheese and cauliflower. Decent, but ordinary. The only bright spot to our meals was the clam chowder was ok. After a day of snowmobiling you're pretty hungry and will eat just about anything. Sorry, but the quality at Richardson's Tavern left us hungry for more.
