Don't never ever, ever, ever ever, ever, take your car to this place. Took my car to this place for routine work nothing special asked them to do a an oil change. Little fidvi know fernando had one of his non qualified non- ase certified mechanics , a dude that has down syndrome do the oil change on my car and didn't put the oil filter on correctly. Little did I know next thing oil is spewing all over the street as I drove. My engine seized up and ruined my engine. He told me the dude didn't put the oil filtervon properly and that caused the oil to leak and damaged my engine. Fernando never made good on my car. He offered to put in a new engine. I told him he'll no, if you cant dovsimple oil change correctly how can I trust you to put in a complex engine correctly. I wanted to go to the c dealership and have them put one in and he pay for the cost. Never pd up and still owes me $6000. Worst mechanic. Need to call ICE on him and all his illegals that work there. read more

Doesn't warranty his work as he had my 300 replaced the engine paid him $6000 total for everything and then my water pump goes and won't warranty his work. He is a theif, shady and a liar and then tried to fight my brother and started throwing stuff around in his shop because he was called out about his bullshit warranty. I don't recommend anyone to use his services what so ever use caution and alsi blames the customers for his mistakes and and makes the customer pay for them!!!! read more

I finally found my new mechanic! You just don't find businesses like this anymore. It is hard to find an honest, knowledgeable mechanic who works hard and goes above and beyond to fix your auto, but I found them. I do a lot of my own work on my autos and had just replaced my fuel pump. I could not get the locking ring back on to save my life. I worked on it for 2 days and by luck, I ran across Mendoza's and called to see if they could help me. Fernandez and his crew worked until they got it back on. He was not going to charge me for such a small job but it was well worth it to me to pay him. If you are looking for a trustworthy mechanic, look no further! read more

highly recommend NOT going here be prepared to wait around 2-5 weeks (yes FIVE weeks) and yes that is after having an "appointment". I own a landscape business and had them work on several vehicles. There's an issue EVERY time. They don't do what you ask and will do services you don't ask or approve of and still demand payment. They did a tune up and had to bring back because they broke one of the spark plugs and the truck was running rough shortly after being there. Another truck they randomly decided to change the oil and filter on after specifically telling them I do all the oil changes on my vehicles and to not change the oil. The oil filter they put on was leaking oil severely, can't make it up. They did brakes on a dump truck and had to bring back shortly after because a caliper supposedly failed, then shortly after that the lug nuts shot off the truck and my employees nearly got in a wreck. They replaced transmission lines on a truck that poured out fluid shortly after because of a supposed oring leak now the transmission slipped like crazy and needed replaced due to incorrectly replacing the transmissison lines. Had to pay for a new transmission because they installed the transmission lines incorrectly. read more

The only reason to use this place is if you drive a beater and don't care what happens to it. The shop and area look like a junk yard, and the apparent "immigrants" who work there are a scene out of "Breaking Bad". Even if they have decent mechanical skills, you can find the same anywhere else, without the risk. Got a new or late model car? Then consider yourself warned. This is a great and honest mechanic. He checked my check engine light and the fix was something I could order online so recommended I just get the part online instead of charging me for something I could easily fix. I had some additional work done to the car and found it to be extremely reasonable. They even rotated my tires and cleaned my very dirty headlights complimentary. The job was finished when I was told it would be and I am glad to support a small business instead of going to the dealership. Will definitely be going back. read more

I went to Mendoza's again when one of my front headlights went out. It turned out there was a much worse problem with the wiring (as it was still nonfunctional with a new bulb). They repaired the wiring problem easily, and accommodated my schedule. When I needed to rent a car to get to work, the owner OFFERED ME TO BORROW HIS CAR for the day instead of renting a car. This isn't a service they typically offer (so don't call them asking to take their cars!) and I declined despite it being generous. It was just a sign of how much he wanted to help me. I'm telling you, this place really cares about it's customers. I'll be moving away at the end of the summer and I'll be sad to lose such a great resource. Having a good mechanic is so important. I recently moved to Cincinnati and tried Mendoza's mostly because it was open on Saturday when I arrived home to find my car battery was dead. When I called to get more information Fernando (Business Owner) was very helpful. He didn't have the battery my car needed but called me back within 5 minutes to tell me he could get it. I dropped my car off 30 minutes later and picked it up about 3 hours after that. Fernando quoted me a very fair price for the battery and labor. I was very pleased to find out that he checked my tires (filled the low ones), checked my alternator etc, and refilled my windshield wiper fluid at no additional cost. Not only was his team efficient but they also went the extra mile. I think that Fernando's team does honest business and plan on bringing my car there again in the future. read more

I have been taking my truck to Mendoza's for a few years now, you will NOT find a better place to take your car or truck to. Seriously these people are AWESOME!!! no doubt about it. Before I started taking my truck here I used other places, it took forever to get my truck back, had to calll them every day for two weeks then they stuck me with a bill of 1200 every time, they had a list of problems that was wrong every single time!!! I know it was because I am a woman and don't know much about fixing cars and they used that to their advantage but not no more. I take my truck to Mendoza's and always have it back the next day at the lastest sometimes even within an hour. I know what I am talking about. I have been using Mendoza's for a couple years now will NEVER go anywhere else, no matter what part of town you live in it is WELL worth taking your car or truck here. Seriously this place is #1 above any other place!!!
