Whenever I call customer service they are so pleasant and helpful, in processing payments or with any questions I may have. The other day I missed my water delivery. I called customer service and was assisted by Maile. I explained to her my situation and said she'll try to get a delivery out to me. To be truthful I didn't think I was going to get a delivery the very next day. Only because I needed only one 5 gallon. Well... I arrived at home yesterday to find that one 5 gallon bottle sitting on my porch. Now that's exceptionally customer service on how Maile followed through with my call and helped me to get my water delivery, don't have to wait for my next delivery date. We chose Menehune Water Company for our home's clean water drinking source because they are always fast to respond, accommodating, friendly, and timely with deliveries!   Our household was heavily affected by mold in the aftermath of the Kona Low Storms, and we had to evacuate. Our water cooler was inaccessible. Mel, Mary, and Miley/Maile all took the time to listen to our situation and were incredibly helpful and patient with resolving this unusual issue.   Their team spoke with Ken Simon, owner and founder of Menehune, who was gracious and very understanding; he waived our outstanding bill and the $50 fee for the damage / loss of the cooler. Customer service doesn't respond to emails. Forever waiting holds trying to get through to address service/billing issues. Having to address these kind of issues more than once indicates serious operational problems within the company. Their billing statements do not have detailed breakdown - they just lump tax in totals without showing product costs. Just hard to read. The negative experiences far outweigh the convenience factor of water delivery to my door. I rate them zero star and cannot recommend (it shows one because it's the only to review). read more

Pros: staff is usually very nice. In my experience, they always deliver bottles on the dates they list on the calendar. I have only gotten the ultra pure water, the quality and taste is good. Cons: I have sent emails on more than one occasion requesting to cancel delivery services on certain days - sometimes they don't reply and end up delivering anyways or say that they never got the email. Customer service is non existent. Extremely long hold times by phone and email replies can take a week or more if you get one. The only time you get a quick reply is from sales when you want to start a new account. This has been the case for at least a year now and is incredibly frustrating. The last few times we've called, we've been given incorrect information regarding delivery dates. The last time, the rep had to call us back to say they made a mistake and our records were indeed correct. Currently looking to switch to a new company. I feel like Menehune Water used to be the gold standard but something has changed. I'm open to giving them another try in the future but when you are unable to contact a company by phone or email in a timely manner, the rest doesn't matter. read more

I've been a loyal Menehune Water Company customer for over 6 years. Unfortunately, the last 2 years have been filled with extremely poor customer service. I never received my delivery calendar email this year, and when I asked for one, I was told to print it -- but I don't even know which route I'm on, so that's not helpful. When I emailed to report a cracked water bottle, I never got a response. When I emailed to suspend my service, I also never received a reply -- and instead, I've had two deliveries since that request, with no acknowledgment from the company. The water itself is fine, and while I occasionally receive a damaged bottle, that's something I can live with. The real problem is the lack of communication and follow-through. Every time I've reached out -- whether by phone or email -- no one answers, and no one calls or emails back. I am writing this review to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the service I have received from Menehune over the past six months. As a strong supporter of local businesses, I had high expectations when I initially signed up for this service, but unfortunately, my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. The most pressing issue has been the repeated failure to fulfill scheduled deliveries. I have lost track of how many times my deliveries have been missed, and including re-deliveries, I estimate that this has happened at least ten times. Each time a delivery was missed, no one from the company reached out to inform me or offer a solution. Instead, I had to take the initiative to call customer service myself. Reaching an actual representative was an ordeal in itself, every call involved long wait times, and I often had to go through the same frustrating process just to get my delivery rescheduled. I found myself doing this nearly every month for the past six months, which was incredibly inconvenient and time-consuming. Adding to my frustration, I have made multiple attempts to contact customer service to address these ongoing issues. Each time I called, I encountered an automated system that placed me on hold for an extended period (20 minutes or so), only to have my call auto-disconnected before I could speak to a representative. This happened multiple times, leaving me feeling completely unheard and without any means of resolving my concerns. Given the repeated service failures, I ultimately decided to discontinue my service. Over the past two weeks, I have sent three emails requesting (1) the collection of empty bottles, (2) the cancellation of my service, and (3) a reimbursement for the water dispenser I purchased at the beginning of my contract, under the assumption that I would be a long-term customer. Despite allowing ample time for a response, I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or follow-up. The lack of communication has been incredibly disappointing and has only added to my frustration. I truly want to support local businesses and understand that challenges may arise, but the level of service I have experienced has been unacceptable. I sincerely hope that Menehune takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure better service, communication, and accountability for future customers. I've been with them for 6 years but as of this year they forget to deliver you water but still charge you. then my delivery is from 9am-11am but I have to wait for them and if they show up its past 2pm. then when I call to complain that I waisted a whole day waiting for them they hang up on me. that's if they answer the phone. this is more of a hassle as it takes all day and still sometimes they don't show up at all. I'm calling to get out of my contract because its just to much of a hassle. such a shame because they used to be so great and always showed up and if they were late they would give a courtesy call to communicate with you. they must be under new management that is just destroying the company. very sad to see a once great company just become the absolute worst to deal with.
