NOTE: This restaurant is inside the grocery store. We ordered the Hainan chicken rice dish and the Chinese BBQ pork plate. The soup was a nice surprise addition to our meal, it was okay. The chicken didn't have much flavor at all and I was disappointed by the ginger-garlic sauce that pairs it unfortunately did not have a great taste. This is my new favorite takeout spot for work. Authentic Thai flavors and plenty of food for the price. The crispy pork belly & basil stir fry was fire! I loved the Hainan chicken and rice from their pop ups and the quality is consistent with their physical location! I also tried the five spice chicken and noodles, Tom Kha Gai, beef massaman curry, biryani chicken and rice, and Thai tea! I have nothing but positive reviews about ALL of the dishes!! I'm so happy I got to try a variety of dishes because now I'm familiar with all of these delicious dishes for the plenty of times I will be back! Came here on a casual date. FYI this is inside an Asian market. It's in the left front corner of the store so right when you get in turn left away from the fresh section. We were both Asian so this exactly what the doctor ordered. Food was incredibly authentic. We got a hainan chicken, char sui and crispy pork. Just between the two of us we almost finished everything despite it being a lot of food. The menu is pretty daunting but they also have specials laminated to the side. They specials are combinations of different meats so if you can't decide you can get the best of both worlds. This is what I should have done and definitely what I'm going to do next time. The servings were a generous amount as well so you're not likely to go home feeling hungry. Since it's inside an Asian market there is very limited seating, maybe 6-8 people tops. It's automated ordering and they call your name when it's ready. Did give me an Asian city vibe like I was back in Hong Kong, Singapore, or Kuala Lumpur. read more

I was searching through Yelp for dinner inspiration when I saw Meng's listed as a Singaporean restaurant. I didn't know that there was one in the area so I instantly clicked on it. That's when I saw that it is in some sorts, a secret kitchen within U-Roll Sushi on E Colonial. Doing some more research, it is a South East Asian restaurant that you can order via their website, Uber Eats or DoorDash and pick up in U-Roll. I tried the chicken biryani, which is typically something I've had at Pakistani restaurants. The chicken was perfect and generous with two large pieces. The rice was flavorful, with what seems like a five spice. It was served with a cilantro sauce which was different but I love cilantro so I used all of it. For me this was 5 stars for this area and really showcased amazing flavor. I will be back to try their other dishes. read more

This place is so good! I stopped by ifresh to do a little shopping and it was right around lunch time. The delicious smell from this little restaurant compelled me to get some take out. I ordered the crispy pork belly and bbq pork plate that came with a small side of broth. My order was ready by the time I finished shopping in ifresh. The lady that helped me with my order was so nice. The pork was so good. It came with some rice, a boiled egg, the small soup and some sauces on the side. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. I am an absolute FOOL for only just enjoying Meng's Kitchen after 20 years in Orlando. My God - positively delicious food! The Thai Garlic and Pepper Grilled Pork was fantastic - I could not recommend a dish more highly. The staff was very friendly and my order was easy to place and served after only a few moments. Please note, pork is a protein I am VERY cautious about ordering at restaurants. But this was delightful - perfectly seasoned and cooked thoroughly without drying out. I sat at the small dining space and made yummy noises; I could not believe my luck. Also, treat yourself to a Thai tea - very much worth it. Was just going into iFresh to grab a few things and my daughter wanted Hainan chicken so we grabbed 1/2 a chicken. It was later in the afternoon so they've sold out all their whole chicken and only has a half chicken left. I didn't get to taste the chicken until after we got home, almost two hours after purchase. The chicken was ok, without the soy sauce and the scallion oil, the chicken has no flavor on its own. Most part of the chicken were a bit more cooked than I liked but there was some tender parts. I haven't tried other food here and without eating at the location right when the food is fresh, can't really be certain how the food is. The lady at the register was nice. The place has about 4 - 5 seats to sit and eat so if you go with a big crowd, it'll be a bit difficult to all sit and enjoy the meal. read more

I was curious to check out this new spot inside the supermarket since it just opened. I used to get duck and chashao at the old place. So I had high expectations going in. Hainan chicken is one of my favorite dishes and I'm really sad to say that this chicken did not have ANY flavor. Very disappointed- even the ginger garlic oil sauce lacked flavor. Normally it comes with oil rice . The chashao is quite different than the canto one- I'm not sure how i feel about it. Im glad it came with a little soup on the side. If you want real Chinese food, this is the place. Every rice and noodle comes with soup which will cure everything! I love their five spice roasted chicken and rice. Everything just blend in so well together and it's such a simple dish but full of flavors. Also, their crispy pork belly and bbq pork noodles gives you a little bit of everything. The service here is pretty quick, but not many sitting area. The environment there makes me feel like I'm eating in Asia and I really miss it. Ghost kitchen, cause that's a things now. Never would I have imagine to have it inside U Roll Sushi (which I have never been to). They are known for their Hainanese Chicken Rice, which I order every time with a side of chicken liver. You order online and pick up going to U Roll Sushi. Chicken is tender and cooked perfectly and rice and well flavored. Good portion! I am use to the Singapore style Hainanese Chicken Rice, but this is a Thai version (?), sauces were a different from what I am use to but still tasty. It tastes very "homey". They have other items on the menu that is are definitely worth trying also! Recommend giving them a try and I will be returning to get my fix as this is the only place in Orlando with Hainanese Chicken Rice. read more

Went to the Asian grocery store and husband was hungry. We stop by this lovely restaurant inside the store. I think most people order takeaway but if you have a small parties like 2-3 people, there is a bench and a table right in front of the restaurant. Food is SUPER good. My husband has chicken over rice but he finished the dish while I shopping. I had Pad See-U, which is stir-fried flat noodles with eggs and dark soy sauce. Very simple but SUPER YUMMY. We ordered Ka Prao Crispy Pork Belly takeaway, but my husband was tempted by that golden piece in front of us (in the picture.) He engulfed almost half the box. We ordered for pick up at their ghost kitchen location inside U Roll however I know they have plans to move elsewhere after this week and I have my fingers crossed it'll be somewhere even closer to me! It's totally ok if you haven't heard of Meng's Kitchen yet. Driving around Orlando, you won't see any signs for it. It's one of those "restaurant inside of a restaurant" joints that you hear about from word of mouth of checking UberEats and asking yourself, "Wait, who is this?" Meng's Kitchen is located inside a U-Roll Sushi on E. Colonial, near the Sam's Warehouse. Meng's specializes in South Asian comfort food and street fare. They have a small menu, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Why have a large menu where consistency can be an issue when you can have a smaller menu that allows the chef to focus on their chief dishes? For my first rodeo with Meng's Kitchen, I decided to go with Biryani Chicken and Rice. The chicken is marinated in yogurt and Garam Masala (kind of like curry but not) and served with a spiced yellow rice along with some cucumbers, a house sauce made from cilantro and mint, and a side of broth. Their portions were very generous. I cut off a few pieces of chicken and mixed it in the broth which made for a very tasty soup the day after. The chicken itself, good gracious me, it was so flavorful and tender that I wish I could send this Yelp review to a NASA satellite and have it broadcast to the entire nation. The flavors of the chicken and rice go extremely well with each other. And adding on their house sauce is so delicious when mixed into the dish. When I went to pick up my order, I found that the U-Roll Sushi was very clean with a contemporary design. The staff was very friendly and they took extra care to make sure that my order was correct. Masks are required to enter, so make sure you have one in handy when you go. Check their website or your preferred food app of choice for Meng's Kitchen. This place is a hidden gem in Orlando that deserves a higher spot in our city's ranking of Asian restaurants. If you're into south Asian food or just good food in general, I strongly recommend giving Meng's Kitchen a shot. I was extremely satisfied with my first experience with them and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their other dishes. read more

Located inside iFresh Market, you'd never expect a place this good to exist here. iFresh Market doesn't look great on the outside...but it's completely different on the inside! We lived in Thailand for 2 months in 2022, and the food here is just as good as what you get there! It's incredibly flavorful, and it comes out really fast - no complaints about service. Lots of great options from chicken biryani to five spice-braised pork belly to Hainan chicken and rice and so much more! We got the chicken biryani, five spice roasted chicken and rice, and fried chicken wontons - all were AWESOME! Would highly recommend.
