Meng's Kitchen is one of my favorite spots for quick, delicious, and healthy food. Located inside of iFresh Supermarket, Meng's is a convenient option when I'm low on time and want to pick up an easy meal while grocery shopping. I love the Hainanese Chicken combo because it comes with rice, chicken, and soup. My husband orders the Pad See U and really enjoys it. This isn't really a spot to come with large group since there's little to no sitting space. I'd say there's a 3 person table and 4 person bar in total. The food here is prepared pretty quickly, so I usually place my order, shop around the area, and then pick up before heading to another part of the store. The food here has a homey taste to it; and I can't recommend it enough. read more

All the food was quite enjoyable to eat. The soup was loaded with bits of garlic that added a nice aromatic flavor to the dumplings and pork. There were at least two or three other dishes I'm looking forward to trying. Meaning I'll be back at Mengs kitchen again soon. read more

Wow I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place. If you're looking to have unique, delicious food that doesn't break the bank come here. There's a couple of tables to eat. We've had the crispy pork and rendeng and get it all the time. Crispy pork is soooo good. Crispy and tender. Also comes with delicious ginger scallion sauce. Rendeng is so flavorful and meat is tender. Very rich flavor. It's good to grab to go or eat in. Always love to come here when I'm in Orlando. read more

Meng's is nestled away in I-Fresh Market in Orlando on Colonial Drive. They sell so many of the classic Thai dishes and some you may not be familiar with as well! Khao Man Gai is a dish that became a family favorite when I lived in Thailand. The words literally translate to Chicken Fat Rice. But don't be swayed by that translation! The chicken is poached in broth and cooked with garlic, ginger, fish sauce and then the broth is used to cook the rice. It results in the most flavorful rice. A delightful brown bean chili sauce with cilantro is paired with it. The broth brings it all together. If have had a rough day, stop by and get yourself some because it is the cure all for woes! Pork Basil stirfry is also one of my favorites and I order it with a fried egg. The slices of cucumbers will cool off your tongue if the spice gets to you. The last pictured item is red roast pork. I bought the combo with the crispy pork because of fomo. The halved eggs and the sauces are all part of what you truly would get in Thailand. They sell house made thai tea, cold sodas and do a busy take away service. I have often eaten there and ordered one to go for lunch the next day. This family owned business is amazing and so welcoming and also serve the community. The picture with myself and Chef was when they served at a local Thai Temple. We ordered Meng's Kitchen through UberEats after seeing all the amazing reviews and now we totally get the hype! The food was packed with care and arrived in perfect condition. We tried the Chicken Katsu Curry and the Chinese BBQ Pork Noodle Bowl, and both were absolutely incredible! The Chicken Katsu Curry had crispy chicken paired with a rich, flavorful curry sauce that was seriously amazing. The Chinese BBQ Pork Noodle Bowl reminded me of a cozy bowl of ramen, super savory, with tender, flavorful pork and delicious noodles. Both dishes had generous portions and beautiful presentation, even for delivery. You can tell they put effort into every detail. This spot just became a new favorite! read more

This place does what they do very well food wise. We visited on a Saturday before a soccer game for some dinner. This place is located inside a grocery store with a small bar if seating. I got the combo bbq pork and pork belly over rice. I think I preferred the bbq pork of the 2 types because the belly got a little bit chewy. I probably wouldn't order the belly again. Overall I'd definitely go back. My one major complaint is that they didn't have a lot of seating and the table area got really dirty. This was more a product of the customers than the actual spot. Dana with Offline - This was my first visit to Meng's and the ifresh grocery store. It was easy to find the restaurant as it was a hard left once you entered. The person at the register wasn't familiar with Offline but figured it out quickly. The service was helpful and friendly. I ordered the dark chicken combo platter to go. It was a very large portion! The fried chicken wasn't nearly as good as the baked option so I'd just do that in the future. It was very good and I'll definitely come again. Keep in mind that it is an Asian market so there is a distinct fishy smell in there but nothing over the top. While waiting for my order, I also grabbed some fun Asian snacks to take home. The Calbee shrimp snacks were my favorite! It only took about 12 or so minutes for my food to be ready. read more

Excellent dishes prepared by the chef owner AJ!! Have known AJ and his cooking for fifteen years. All dishes are scratch made with his personal touches. Service was very good. The chicken was light but packed with flavor, and it felt like a guilt-free option that's even friendly for my high blood pressure. The pork belly was everything you'd want: crunchy skin with tender meat underneath. And the char siu? Sweet, smoky, and absolutely delicious. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable, especially given the quality. This is exactly the kind of hole-in-the-wall spot you wish was closer to home, but it's worth making the trip when you're in the area. The food here is so good. I ordered the pork noodle bowl and Tom Yum soup. The broth was full of flavor and stayed super hot despite my 20 minute ride back to my resort. It was probably the best Asian meal that I've had all year. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to shop in the market, which has really great prices, while waiting on my food to be prepared. I randomly came across Meng's Kitchen while browsing through the Fresh Market's ailes. I smelled comfort Asian food and followed the scent arriving at the left corner of the supermarket. It was a pleasant surprise to find a small sit-down/takeaway joint with a long menu for such a small place (there are about 10 - 12 chairs max). It was raining and I was craving soup, so went with the hot & sour lemongrass soup. The broth was good but would have been nicer if it had come with rice or noodles. It was a light soup since it only came with chicken and vegetables. I also ordered a side of spring rolls, which were just regular spring rolls, 3 small ones. Service was very friendly: the manager, who might also be the owner, passed through each table asking how the food was. The food did not take too long to arrive. Service was fast, I waited about 15 minutes while I walked around the grocery store. I ordered the haiwanese chicken cause I wanted to see what all the fuss is about, it looks kind of plain but don't let that fool you! The chicken is so moist and the flavor is amazing, I don't know what they added to the rice either but it was banging. I also ordered another entree, because why not..this one had Chinese bbq pork and crispy pork belly with rice and a hard boiled egg. It was so delicious, I had to unbutton my jeans because what started as a "I'm only going to eat half" turned into digging deep in my stomach and stuffing as much as I could. I shop at this market quite often and I have seen this little restaurant inside a few times but it is closed on Mondays. Today i arrived on the right day. Ordered at the kiosk a crab and cheese dumpling and crispy pork belly. Both came out in a reasonable amount of time. I am a long time frequenter and shopper at the iFresh Market where this little restaurant is located. I used to visit the little restaurant that closed down before they opened up in its space... The variety of foods they prepare is amazing. If you order, and you will walk up order and pay at a kiosk. The service is all automated.. The food is anything but paint my numbers: You'll see a little Singapore and you'll see a little Thai. There will be some Chinese thrown in for good measure. The crispy pork there is amazing and you will sit down next to high school student students or families or whoever is smart enough to eat here. Definitely order the cucumber salad as a side dish. For the cool crisp contrast. There is not much seating and it is close to the wall. There is one four top where you might attend the chef's table. Incredible food. Fast fresh and hot as it can be. I hope they open a larger restaurant and I miss being in Orlando because of these guys what an incredible small restaurant. I stopped by Meng's Kitchen, which is located inside of iFresh Market grocery store directly to the left. It has a small sit down area with a kiosk to place your oder. I ordered the Biryani Chicken & Rice, and it has definitely the best Biryani Chicken I've eaten since eating this dish in Thailand, and it tastes very authentic to it. Do not come with expectations that this will taste like a chicken biryani from South Asia, but rather the Thai version of it. The chicken thigh and drumstick was juicy and tender, and the flavor of the rice was aromatic and delicious. Overall, there are plenty of options on the menu, but I will definitely come back for the Biryani Chicken & Rice whenever I crave for it. read more

After finishing work in the area, I had a craving for some Asian food. If you're familiar with downtown Orlando, you know that SR 50 by Mills is basically Little Asia. Such a plethora of restaurants to choose from and I'm so happy I decided to step into I-Fresh grocery store. Originally I had a hankering for some Korean food but when I turned the corner and saw Meng's Kitchen, I was instantly intrigued! A restaurant inside a grocery store?? The menu items with pictures made the food absolutely appealing to me. I asked the cashier if she had to choose between the 2 dishes I was deciding on, which one would she choose? (It was between the 5 Spice Roasted Chicken Noodle Bowl or the Chinese BBQ Pork Noodle Bowl) Without hesitation she said the pork noodle bowl. So I ordered it and DID NOT REGRET IT!!! It was incredible!! Tender, roasted pork drizzled with the most sweet and savory sauce. I asked for it Togo and it was packaged so neatly. I put everything in the soup that they gave me and I was so blown away by the balance of flavors. I can't wait to go back to try the rest of their menu because everything looked amazing! read more
