I have taken two of my children to The Artist Within over the years, both at the old location and new one for camps and their homeschool art class. My eldest, who has always been able to sit and draw on her own for hours, walked in when she was very young and without even knowing what the business was for said "Oh! I really like it here!" even though she usually did not like any place but home. My younger daughter who is constantly moving and very active loves it too, it helps her focus and learn. Even living an hour away, we came back for a course this last semester. Both girls came away with more confidence, technique, and several fantastic pieces of art. The new location is well suited to creative expression with a beautiful, fairy-land style garden in the back where, during longer classes or camps, the instructor allows the class to stretch their legs and minds on a short break. And she is an opinionated person who doesn't just automatically adore every school or camp or hobby she's done. Ms. Cynthia runs the place so smoothly. Always polite. Always patient. Pure professionalism and kindness with the kids. Kiddo loves Ms. Star so much that she has picked up some of her motivational quotes and mannerisms at home, haha. All of the instructors are amazing with the controlled chaos that art with a bunch of kids every day just inherently entails. They also treat our kid with respect and kind authority instead of that condescension thing most adults just lean on. I appreciate the crap out of that since that's how we treat kids too. The seating is old school theatre, but comfy enough. It seats about 300. You are never terribly far away from the stage, and that is nice. Sound seems to be pretty good too, but I have not ever sat out in the audience during a show, since I was behind the scenes and on stage when I have visited. As a performer, the facilities are pretty nice. This is an older venu with a community college, so don't expect plush dressing rooms. Do expect enough to get you by. The dressing rooms have lights and bathroom facilities. You can hose off before or after a show if you need to. The stage is pretty small, but the folks there can help set it up nicely for a simple show. They have good lighting the sound system seems to do pretty well. Feedback sound backstage is good. One thing, if you need to be bare footed backstage, watch the boards. They will pinch your feet but good.

Just whip up his usual solutions. The outdoor space and the roof garden are well done. The interior with the gray concrete and metal stairs in the main circulation is a straight imitation of Wright's Guggenheim and Escher's staircase is ugly and brutal. I only feel sorry for the students who have to inhabit such a banal space in a long stretch of time. Let's just say had I been a student here, I will be avoiding all my classes and be smoking on the roof instead.

We left feeling like our son would just be another face in the crowd rather than a valued student. My son has been going here about six months now and I could not be…read moremore grateful to have a daycare this well run within half a mile of my house. - Communication - Principrin provides clear and concise mass communications as necessary and individual updates through the Procare app. I know to the minute how long my son napped, when he ate, when his diaper was changed, and what he did during playtime. They also provide straightforward communications when there have been a number of cases of the flu or other viruses, and I do I feel like Priciprin does everything within their control to prevent the spread of germs. - Orientation - Like most new moms, I had a lot of anxiety about going back to work. It helped that Principrin provided a thorough packet of information and met with us individually to discuss our son's transition prior to his start date, and within a short period of time I felt very comfortable leaving him there. My son had issues with bottle refusal starting out, and they were very patient with us as we worked through it. - Staff - It's obvious that the women who work here really care about the kids. I'm fairly certain the front desk receptionist knows every child by name and 99% of the kids I've seen at pick up are in a great mood coming out. The teachers here really go above and beyond to find different activities and set up cute & creative photo shoots. - Efficiency - This is a very large facility and can be hectic since most parents drop off and pick up their kids around the same time. Generally they do an excellent job of managing the peak times and I rarely have to wait more a few minutes or so for someone to take my baby back to his classroom. The check-in and out process is done via QR code and seems secure. - Pricing - The monthly rates here are a little higher than the other facilities that we checked out in the Heights, but considering the size of the facility and level of care I feel like they are justified. 10/10 - 100% recommend!
