I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. I first used them in March of '19 for a Smog Check and an oil change on my '98 Lexus LS400 with 220,000 miles. I got a call that I also needed transmission fluid. I picked up the car later in the day. Today, again, I picked up my car after it's required oil change (yes, I don't put a lot of miles on the car.) I had asked that they give the car a "once-over," which, I was told is procedural. My invoice showed a "25-item Checklist" at no charge and my oil change. Additionally, a week ago I drove in with a flat tire. They pulled the tire, pulled a screw, plugged the tire, put it back on the car, and replaced the spare in the trunk. The Charge? $35. The owner and staff are so helpful and wonderful people with whom to work. We are fortunate to have this service in our back yard. read more

Guy inside at 9:45pm saying they are closed and can't help me even though they are supposed to be open until 10pm... Pretty outrageous. Walked 20 min to make it on time to just buy some cigarettes and can't help. Crazy.. read more

Review for gas only. Pumps are open 24 hrs but the small store attached isn't. Had the store been open would have been great to wander in and grab a drink. Pumps had a small TV on them with entertainment and commercials. Everything looked clean and worked well. Pumps seemed fast enough. There is an automotive repair attached. read more

The Asian guy here was nice enough to let me use the bathroom before purchasing gas. The gas station was clean, and is a nice area. However, he might have forgot to press button on giving me gas after I purchased. It made me feel weird to try pumping gas a couple times when that was locked. He doesn't have to accommodate me to get gas as he tried to do. It made me feel a bit weird, but hey there is gas. Would recommend this place for others to try to get gas as well. Especially for tourists Asian people who might not know the area too well. Not promising anything is going to be the same to everyone, but this is just my own experience. read more

I was very, very happy with my service at Chevron, from the minute I called to the completion of my service. I needed a smog check and fast... when I called the office they were extremely courteous, polite, and FAST! I was able to get my car in right away, and it took all of 20 minutes. The price was extremely reasonable and the customer service excellent. I called around quite a bit before coming here... every smog place was either a 1 hour wait, didn't have a technician, or was way more expensive then this Chevron. Apparently they do all types of car repairs and tires too. Highly recommended! read more

Menlo Park Chevron is a terrific place for your food, gas, and vehicle maintenance. The gentlemen in the Store area are accommodating and kind. There are a number of great treats available at modest prices. Automobile Service with John, and the other team members, is fantastic. This certainly is the place to bring your car for honesty and quality. I have been patronizing the Station for approximately three years, and can highly recommend them with five stars. I usually come to this Chevron for gasoline because of the partnership they have with Safeway for discounted gas. They also have a wonderful little store and the customer service is always very nice. I recently left a message for their auto repair folks and didn't hear back. I made a follow up call and they were very sorry for not returning my call. They said they would check on whomever is responsible for returning calls. Anyway, very nice customer service and I plan to return. read more

The station is super clean and John P. is a really nice, professional guy who does his best to please. I've had no problem getting all my cars smogged, quick oil changes and flat fixes here. He can get pretty busy, so call ahead for an appointment if you can. If you have any kind of an emergency give this Chevron a call first, if they can't help you, they'll suggest someone that can. My only gripe is when Johns gone for lunch no one mans the desk, and you could be waiting for a while before you get help. read more

This place used to be the best gas station in town with the best service I just happened to bring my vehicle for smog check one of the service personnel said are you dropping off your vehicle? And I said no so I explained what I needed done with my car and he said it will take an hour??? I said for what? He was sitting on his chair doing nothing I was on my lunch break with very little time . Two days later still no call back. Don't waste your time with this place. I got my car smogged today somewhere else. No appointment needed! read more

I went in to do my smog test and got Excellent and quick service, loved that they open really early, the staff is really nice, personable and friendly. Price for the smog was a bit expensive, even with yelp check-in promo (saving you $20) it came out to $58 and some change. Where as others places can be $40 out the door. But, still giving 5 stars just cause they were able to get me in and out really fast and have a great attitude while I was trying to rush them. I would recommend lowering prices though!! read more

I went to Chevron for a standard oil change and got a call while my car was in the shop urging me to service my brake and transmission fluid as well. I was shocked when I returned to have $340 in charges added to my bill. I feel like I was taken advantage of because I did not know when my car had been serviced last as it is a shared car. I wish I had been advised about how much the fluid replacement would cost before they exchanged it. My mechanic tells me now they rarely need to be replaced. read more

I've been coming here for the past 6 months and they've just done a fantastic job every time. I have an older car so it's not the easiest to deal with but John has provided such great customer service and has not disappointed. I[m glad I found this Chevron to bring my car too because it's convenient as I work just a couple blocks down. They always have great coupons and deals online too! As for the other reviewers who have bad reviews, I think when you call and constantly ask them about their deals and promos, it's going to get old and annoying for them when you CAN just visit their website. I took my 94 Ford Ranger in for a smog test which because of its age required I believe what was called an advanced compression test. John was great and just made my visit very easy and quick. I don't know if I'll keep my old Ranger for another 2 years but if I do I will take it to Menlo Park Chevron for its next smog test and for anything else in between it might need. MPC fixes cars, has a nice snack shop, does smog checks (with or without appointments) and has 8 gas pumps. They are friendly but getting in and out might be tough for large vehicles. With such limited space everyone parks carefully. They have been in the same spot for decades. Shell and Chevron are typically the higher cost gasoline stations but always have high quality products. read more

I needed a smog check and i was at work. I called two other shops and they were booked. One of their competitors recommended that i call chevron. I did. The were able to fit me in quickly, took 15 to 20 minutes to get smog check done, great service, nice people, car passed. Then told me to go to AAA if i was a member to get sticker. This place is down the street from me. I was way overdue for my car registration and called in the morning to see if they could fit me in. Ok I know it's like a little ridiculous to rate a gas station, but this is for Edgar who works at the service center. Drove up with all my tires flat and couldn't find the air pump. Randomly yelling out the window for help. Edgar comes out, super nice and smiling, directs me into a service bay. Realizes I have no idea how to use the fancy air pump and proceeds to fill up all my tires and send me off with a smile, no charge. I feel like there's a real dearth of good service in this area so it was really pleasant to have a nice guy go out of his way to help someone out. read more
