CAR WASH is Terrible. In order for this car wash to be running smoothly is maintenance. I use the car wash here once every few months in hopes of them working out the problems with it, but it always has something messed up. If you pay extra for the wheel scrub option, it will not scrub the wheels. It will line up against your car door and scrub that instead. Also lucky me yesterday I paid for the $12 option and the very end soap of the whole car only got rinsed by clean water about 60%. And then the very next option that automatically comes on is the power dry at the very end. At this point what are you do you go inside and ask for a refund do you go inside and ask for a second wash if it's just gonna happen again? I mean this used to be a fantastic car wash. It was very well-maintained, but not anymore, so don't waste your money. read more

So not sure why the the spate of low reviews, but this place meets my expectations for what it it. A gas station and a mini mart. We do stop here periodically for work reasons as its one of the closer diesel stations. Its a large and well stocked mini mart with a plethora of beverages and gummi based products. As a bonus they have Icee's which is not as good as a Slurrpie but will do in a pinch The station was clean and the staff friendly. Not much more I can ask for read more

The first register didn't take Apple Pay and had to move to the next one but because I put in my phone number at the first one it wouldn't let me do it at the second !!!! The customer service at this Chevron location is always consistent. They're courteous and helpful. The gas prices are often better than the other Chevron on University. Its spacious and even better that it has its own carwash. However, this carwash sometimes is not open when it needs to be but when open and operating it is so helpful to have! The air is always free but vacuuming is $1.75. Lately vacuuming and air has been experiencing some rough times because its been wearing the "out of order" sign for a minute. While they might not work the fact that it has these things available makes it a worthwhile stop. read more

This place continues to charge high prices and gives horrible service. The only good that comes from this place is convenience of its location. If you're desperate enough to need gas, they're there. Their pump stations seem to always be covered with the "out of order" bags, the pay-at-the-stations are stone age slow with displays that look as if no one services them for cleanliness, and nasty water and soap for your squeegee needs. Slightly overpriced but convenient location with a Starbucks nearby. Annoying is how they force you to decline a carwash before your able to pump. Thankfully Chevrons all over finally allow you to pump without answering whether or not you belong to the Safeway marketing club card. read more

Ok I do not shop at chevrons caue I get slightly cheaper gas from Costco. However we were meeting some friends in sjc for dinner and in the way our car made a horrible sounds and started spewing black smoke from the hood. Bad times! We found this location to be the closest gas station and stopped. I was dressed up and as my husband peaked under the hood to find the cause I ran in to get antifreeze and wet wipes. The gentlemen behind the counter were incredibly nice and helpful. They gave us tools, showed us where things were and inquired about the issue. I was very impressed with both these young men andbao thankful they were calm while assisting us in our mini crisis. I commend the both of them for being human and kind at once! read more

UPDATE (4/19/2020): THEY NO LONGER OFFER TOUCHLESS WASH. I'm guessing the laserwash required too many repairs and probably made them switch. Sad to lose one of the best places to get the touchless/brushless wash. Offers great touchless car wash (very needed for my ceramic pro coated car) that's also cheap (starts at $7). It's not as reliable as I wanted and has often been out of order or under repair for the past year, but when it's available it's quicker/safer/cleaner than the professionals that advertise their service as brushless/touchless (which all hide some brushes inside their tunnel). I need to find alternative Chevrons/places offering similar level of Laserwash to cover this station's dow is out of order... btw If your car is extremely dirty and/or don't have some fancy paint coating or its factory paint coat or detailing has faded away, these touchless car wash will probably give you poor results than other options. read more

There is ALWAYS something wrong here at this gas station. 1: If the pumps are working, the car wash is broken. 2: If the pumps are working, the pay at station is broken. 3: If the pumps are down, they close the entire store down. 4: They tend to always be over staffed with a minimum of five workers, but no one ever does anything when you need help at the cashier. Even when over staffed the customer service sucks. 5: There are always contractors working here, whether it's on the pumps or inside or on the building. 6: The worst car wash, went through it and my car went from a scale of level 9 and came out at a level 7 (10 being dirty, 1 being clean). 7: Employees are always yelling/talking out loud at each other inside. 8: Weird time schedules when wanting to buy lottery scratchers. 9 outa 10 times when I've wanted to buy a scratcher, they say. "Oh it's not time for that at this time" Get it together people, you guys are the only gas station in a 5 mile radius. Any other gas station even with a store inside has 1-3 employees working. Having 5-7 judge mental employees here makes you guys look even worse, especially when there is always something broken or not working right. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Sometimes I don't worry about reviewing a bad place, but this gas station is horrible. First of all their gas prices were very high, but they are located right off the freeway and off the Dumbarton bridge so it's in a convenient location. I went inside. I got soda, energy drink, and water- all from different fridges, and NONE of their drinks were even cold! Then I go up there to pay and I ask the middle Eastern man if one of the 20oz soda rang up free because there was a BOGO sign in fridge. He said "no, that's the price." I told him there was sticker on the fridge. He just sat there in silence, I finally spoke up and reminded him again about the sign. He's like "I don't know." I asked him if he could go and look at the door to check the price. He told me no, and one of his employees had just walked through the door so he sent her to check the door because for some reason he was being so rude and would not even go look at his sign. They will treat you depending on how you look. If you are dressed casually and God forbid have hole in your t shirt, they treat you in the most rude way. If you are well dressed, you are their best friend. I am not dressing up on my day off for a visit to a gas station and a car wash. Horrible gas station! I hate that this is the only gas station that I don't have to go out of my way to use after work. First let's talk about the employees. They are all RUDE and unfriendly except for one woman. Every time I pay with card, it's the same thing: "sign this" *slams receipt on counter and throws pen at it*. Seriously? Never have I been asked please or handed the pen. THEY THROW THE PEN! It wouldn't be so bad coming here to just fill up my gas tank. I would be able to avoid the employees and be on my way, except that there have been an upsetting amount of times that their system goes down and you can't pay with card at the pump. When this happens 80 percent of the time you can't use card inside either. It's really annoying when driving a company car and using a company gas card. He wouldn't let me pay or even drive forward through the empty wash to get out. He made me reverse all the way back out of the narrow curved car wash line and I curbed my wheel. What happened to customer service? Where did it go? Have always purchase cigs at the mini mart. Always Marlboro 100's...for a year now. Today I did the same thing but when I got home they were not 100's so I went back within maybe 20 minutes to return. This is a really convenient place to stop at when you need to fill up quick and get back to what you were doing. It's right off of the dumbarton bridge and it's close to FACEBOOK!!!!! There are fast food restaurants around so u can fill up and grab something to eat as well. The inside is clean and organized. The customer service here is great even at 2am!! The cashier guy is forgetful. I went to him to ask for coin change to use the air machine. I handed him a $5 note and asked him to give me $4 worth of quarters and a $1 note back. He took his sweet time getting the $4 worth of coins out of machine and putting it in front of me while talking to the other cashier. I kept waiting for the $1 note but he kept talking to the other cashier. When I asked him to give me the $1 note finally. He said he has already given it to me. I tried to make him understand but he was being adamant. I told him to check his security cameras. Anyway after arguing with him for few minutes I left because it was getting late for my appointment and $1 wasn't worth it to waste 20mins of my time to argue and prove it to him. So on our way home from Sf we needed gas and I looked up on google maps that there was a gastation off of Willow. The bf asked what kind of gas, I don't know I just knew there was a gastation somewhere. So I yelped the address and it was a Chevron. Even though it was almost a mile off the freeway. When it's dark and you have no idea of where you are going, you may think that your lost. We eventually got there and the bf noticed the car wash and it was still open after 10 p.m. He bought the carwash for $5 and when he pulled up to find out it was a Laser wash. He was so happy knowing no bristles would even touch his car. It was pretty cool, they do not skimp out on soap. It must have went over the car 3 times coating the car with soap. Also, if your car was lowered you can still get a wash because theres no rails, you just drive in and park. For the amount you are paying I think this Laser wash is worth it. Keep in mind there is no bristles so those stuck on hard debri will still be there. read more

Chevron has the best gas (if you buy premium, even though there is less Techron than there used to be), but this is far from the best Chevron station around. It's a convenient location, but the car wash is often out of service, and several times when I've gone late at night, there have been panhandlers or worse lurking around the pumps. read more

I got ripped off from this car wash station. I paid $12 for a wash unfortunately wash didn't function when it was my turn. I went back to that Chevron and a few times their car wash hasn't been fixed. So finally today it's working so I keyed in the numbers but screen said the numbers/codes were not authorized so they had to give new codes to key in. My car got washed so quickly, it didn't even have the spot free rinse. It was just soap and rinse. I was thinking the new codes they gave me was just for basic wash. At the time of this review, the gas pumps are closed off (construction is going on). But someone is submitting very low gas prices every few hours on the gasbuddy app/site, tricking people into coming here. The fact that the gas station convenience store is open during construction makes me suspect that something shady is going on here. Waste of time and gas coming out here. read more
