Had a pleasant experience here buying a used CX-5. We first stopped by to look at it and found that…read moreit was having trouble starting and the rear, automatic hatch was not working. The salesman, Tim, and I concluded it probably needed a new battery. We called back to test drive and "talk numbers" and Tim said he had already had the shop put a new battery in it and it would be ready for us. I like that he was proactive. Both times we looked at it, it was detailed well and not dirty. I feel like some dealerships half-detail it and cars aren't as clean as they could be. Price was good and they were willing to work with us a little to get where we needed to be. Tim was relaxed and didn't apply any pressure for us to buy. He felt like more like our advocate during the buying process trying to get finance to agree to the price we felt was appropriate and worked for us. The first pass on the numbers included a "reconditioning fee" of almost $700, which should absolutely be included in the price and not a fee that shows up during the negotiation process, but they were willing to wave that once we told them the price we needed out the door to make a deal. We were in and out in about an hour and a half, which is not that bad. I have been at dealerships much longer and it's not fun. We had our 3 kids with us, so we just wanted to sign what we needed to and get out. Overall, pretty happy and would buy a car from them again.

We can only buy used cars as our credit is not very good, and they have a pretty good selection of used cars. We had our second car die so we were in need of another one and instantly thought of going back to Tim Dahle Bountiful since they were so good to work with the first time. The only thing that is a concern is how long it takes to get the paperwork done. The finance guy Mike doesn't seem to be as effective as the other finance guy (sorry can't remember his name, but he's better). But all around a great experience considering our needs. Thank you guys!

The worst buying experience I have ever had. They talked to me into a bumper-to-bumper warranty…read moresaying I would get 0 percent interest, but there is interest on my loan. My newly purchased car was having issues and they told me the repair would be almost $500 and my deductible was $500. The repair sounded fishy to me, so I got another opinion and they agreed the diagnosis made absolutely no sense. What it turned out to be is Tim Dahle Nissan had unbolted components in my car and left them unbolted. The other repair shop bolted them down and issues were gone. Also do not believe their advertised price. They will add a $3000 service fee to it. My service fee paid for a gas tank where the gauge was not working. It's been a nightmare stay away!

Jarel was the one that responded to my son's email right away yesterday and set up this appointment. My son was able to test drive an all-wheel challenger and was pleased at how well it drove. There wasn't anything wrong that stood out. A gouge on one of the tires but it wasn't bad and the tire is fine. The rest of the car is great. Mr. Hazen is the manager and handled the trade in with my son's car smoothly. So, I had written this review before the end of the sales and it's set up this way. I recommend waiting until all sales are final and here's why. We get to the last guy Mr. Laird and found out there's a tracker put into the car and you get charged just under $1500 for that. No choice. I didn't like that at all. We let it go since it was already in the car. Not right though.

They agreed to refund the full amount of the GAP insurance and Warranty we didn't want. As on now after 3 weeks, we have not received the refund which is alarming. I'm almost at the point of reaching out to an attorney. I'll keep you updated if they follow through. Regarding the misaligned trunk, broken seals on the taillights, and other bad body work; Colton did arrange a loaner car and the vehicle was fixed at the Paint Spot and is no longer flooding the trunk. I'm not sure how the car made it to the lot in the first place; if there was a 150-point inspection completed. Here are a couple of things to be aware of: 1) They will try to sell you a vehicle monitoring system that is $50 GPS tracking unit that is connected to your OBDII system. They wanted $1799 for it, and they say it can't be removed. It has two tabs to remove the unit in about 10 seconds; Later the salesman said we could pay for a year then they will remove it.... this was a complete lie. Don't Pay it! 2) They tried to add on a carbon credit fee of $200 which no one could explain what it was. 3) Their dealer fee is $699 which is on the high side and the highest I've come across in Utah. 3) Branded cars have no manufactures warranty left, you have zero warranty on their cars. They will offer you a warranty and in my son's case they said it was $2,200 off but the contract was $4500 for a warranty, he thought it was $2200 total????? They also said it was through America Frist CU and it could be cancelled if no claims were made. Of course, when I looked at the paperwork it wasn't with America First.... 4) The next morning after driving the car home he noticed the trunk was leaking, the taillights were full of moisture, and the trunk is out of alignment. We had an autobody tech look at it and he said there were numerous panels out of alignment and the car should not have left the shop. We went into the dealership Monday morning and asked to return the car and get our down payment back. They said it's his fault and he should have checked the vehicle (it was dark at night when he saw the car). I would get the car checked out at a local body shop before signing anything FYI.

Put a full 5 quart bottle of oil in the crankcase - it was empty! The lack of oil resulted in a bad valve, and the engine started making a horrible noise. We took it to a reputable repair shop, and were told that " the engine would have to be replaced at a cost of $3,400 - more than the cost of the car. We had been told that their mechanic checked it out as a "Safety Inspection"! How the mechanic didn't notice there was NO OIL in the motor is mind blowing!! On contacting Affordable Auto Sales, and told him the car was a lemon, we were told "I'm sorry to hear that. I felt like when I sold it to you back in April that it was a solid car. I also tell my customers that they are all sold as-is and they aren't perfect and I hope that my customers realize that for the price that they pay" We've been offered $500 for it as a parts car!
