Potential customers please only pay attention to the 1 star reviews and you will find out you need to stay far away from MenLove and for your financial well being do not get into a contract with them! Hands down the worst car Ive owned and hands down Im paying the most that I have ever paid for a vehicle. Also, they pay / bribe people to write 5 star reviews with gift cards because I wrote one for them after they gave me $40 in Maverick gift cards. DO NOT BE FOOLED AND BE A SMART CONSUMER AND GO TO YOUR LOCAL CAR DEALERSHIP. No joke the worst company you can do business with and they gladly screw you over. Menlove We got our car in March, since then we've had nothing but problems. One part after another in the car started to break, first the electronic throttle control, then the coolant housing, then a pvc pipe and now months later the throttle control is broken and faulting AGAIN after they said it was repaired. We got our car fixed a month ago over the weekend we drove it down from N. Salt Lake to Orem, and before I could pull into my driveway, it broke down a mile away. Have they been helping us? Well sure, after we call and call and call and it seen a like we're a nuisance more than a paying customer. We've had to pay over $1000 in repairs on a car we've had since March. When they help it seems like it's on their time. I don't feel they have our best interest in mind and now that we are trying to get into a different car (when we'd rather just leave the lease as a whole) we have to pay another over $400. When we were sold the car it was done in a rushed manner and pretty unprofessional. It was March and cold and the heater in the car didn't even work on the drive back which should have been the first red flag, but we had already signed the papers. This company and the car they sold us has been nothing but an anxiety ridden 6 month ride. I would say if you're looking for a car that's RELIABLE, ***DO NOT GO HERE*** And this is just a small portion of the ordeal we've had. We bought a 2011 Chevy traverse and right away we also started having a lot of problems we drove it to Denver and the car started the electrical started going bad and then we couldn't get started so we found out that it was the alternator which we had to replace shortly after we got back it went out again we took it over to menloaf and they said that it was the alternator and they said there was some other parts so they repaired so all in all all we've been doing is replace the alternator now they're saying that we have to have the an oem alternator but yet they charge us for the for everything they've done so far well we just finished paying another $800 to put an oem alternator into the car at this point in time we can't afford to keep replacing things on this car when it's supposed to have a warranty on it which they won't cover this point time we'd like to just simply get rid of the car because we need something that's a lot more reliable especially at our age now I just got an email from them wanted me to remove this negative reply in the short time we've had this vehicle we have paid over $1,000 in repairs on top of the $450 a month payments I'm making on it and we don't even drive the vehicle everyday we only use it for trips and stuff like that and that was why we bought the car we don't use it as a daily driver and in the several months so we've had it we've had nothing but trouble I'm looking at possible legal action or recourse consumer protection agency or someone that can help us get out from underneath this firetrap that we got ourselves into read more

BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!! DO NOT! I REPEAT, DO NOT GO TO MENLOVE FRESH START! We got a complete Lemon from them and they refused to do anything to help us, they had the car in the shop more than we drove it! VERY HIGH payments! We put so much money in to that car, then the differential went out and was going to cost $6,200 to fix! We voluntarily returned the car after talking to them, They put it on our credit as a repo!!! They have really high interest rates. You can pay less if you get it elsewhere. They removed my GPS device after I paid off the car, and the backlight on my speedometer stopped working (i couldn't read it at night) after they removed it. They refused to fix it and told me I was lying about it. I had to pay someone else to fix it even though they caused it. read more

These guys will bullshit and cheat you. They sell you lemon cars, than say the warranty is voided because you didnt get oil change every 4000 miles. Can you give 5 negative starts? Do not shop here unless you're completely desperate. I went to look for a vehicle and was treated horribly. While filling out the application and reference sheet the woman there asked me what type of vehicle I was interested in. I told her a Camry. After this was complete a gentleman, and I use that term very loosely, took me and my companion to a van that was about ten years old to drive us to the lot. I was accompanied by a male who happened to be my father and the 'salesman' was going to seat him in the front seat. We waited on my dad to get something out of his vehicle and I started to get in the front seat and he said 'oh yeah, I guess you can sit up front.' That was indicative of how the rest of the experience went. We get to the lot and everything they had there was extremely old. They had one Camry and it was a '99. If the woman had told me this when she asked what type of vehicle I wanted I wouldn't have wasted anymore time. The only vehicle there that had any interest to me was a Sonata so I pulled out my phone and started to check the reviews. My father asked me what I was doing ( he is older and thinks I spend too much time on my phone) I told him that I was going to check the reviews because that was the only car I even wanted to look at. At that point he and the salesmen walked off. This guy didn't tell me if he was coming back, if he was going to give me time to look at it on my own or if he was going to attempt to sale my father a vehicle instead. He didn't say one thing to me, just walked off. He and my father were looking at another vehicle and I walked over there and said that I wasn't interested in that vehicle and that the only one on the lot that received good reviews was the Sonata. He was so engrossed in the conversation with my father, who WASN'T the customer that he ignored me. I walked around the vehicle and said I was going to go back to look at the Sonata, again nothing. No response. I went and sat in the Sonata for a full five minutes and he never came to check on me once. At that point I was fuming at his misogynistic attitude. I have purchased numerous vehicles over the years and the salesperson paid attention to ME the customer, not my husband or whoever I was with at the time. I raised my voice, because they were STILL over by the other vehicle and said "well I guess that I am not buying a car" Well that finally got his attention and he yelled "what?" and managed to actually walk over to where I was at. I said that I was the customer and he didn't act like he gave a damn. At that point he started yelling at me and asking me what MY problem was. He then said that with MY attitude he wasn't interested in selling me a car. I responded with that was obvious. We get back into the POS van and he started leaning towards me asking what my problem was and telling me good luck at the next place that I go to look etc. He was way over the top. I told him that I didn't appreciate him treating my father as if he were the customer. At this point it had pretty much devolved into a shouting match. They say they want to HELP your credit but they RUIN your credit. RUN FAR AWAY! I repeat. Run!! Literally on the way HOME the car felt like the transmission was going out and it wasn't mechanically functioning. They will not work with you no matter how bad your situation gets. They don't tell you how much the car costs until YOU SIGN THE PAPERS TO PURCHASE!! Several things went wrong with the car in the first month and they didn't offer to fix when clearly, they knew about it. I was leasing the car for the price of a brand new Ford Escape. This one having 200,000 miles and being a 2004. I've never had such a bad experience with any other company. I should have stuck with my gut feeling when entering the pathetic office they like to call a "dealership." The employees are way too nice. Like, make you feel uncomfortable nice. It's completely fake and I could see right through it. It honestly seems like such a scam there. They say they will take you to their "lot" of cars. Which is a few blocks from the office and has an option of maybe 7 or 8 extremely run down, ghetto looking cars. It looked like a junkyard. I was in need of a car ASAP, but I should have looked the other way. I ended up paying 4,000 on a car that wasn't even worth that much to begin with and still owed 9,000 on it. I got so sick of it that I decided to "return" my car and now have a repossession on my credit. They didn't fix my credit. They ruined it. Also, they don't report to credit agencies when you make payments. They report to them when you DON'T make payments. So, my question is, how in any way does that help your credit? This is an addendum to my first review. After Menlove reading my review in yelp I received a call from Dawn at Menlove. She was very apologetic and asked what they could do. I told her they needed to establish a better process. If you shut off a vehicle, people need to have a means of contacting them to get their vehicle re-activated. I had insurance & YOU shut my car off for 4 days because YOU thought I May not have insurance on the car when I actually did. The fact you left me a voice message on Saturday, less than 3 hours before you closed, not to reopen till Tuesday was inappropriate. I told her did call at my lunch break & left you a message of my updated insurance info, only to find out at around 9:30pm my car was disabled. She said they would discuss ways to improve their process. She then asked if Alex her manager could call and speak with me. I told her that would be fine. The call with Alex was a total joke. Alex basically, rude as hell stated it was my fault. I said, yes I should have followed up with my insurance agent to make sure you had my new info & I hung up the phone. He actually called back and said "we got disconnected." I said "no, I hung up on you, we are done I have nothing else to say to you." And hung up the phone again. Part 2: When I first setup payment plans with Menlove I went with the auto payment program. Due to my contract, my payment was scheduled for the 9th of every month. My first payment was set to skip the upcoming month, only a week and a half away & start the following month. BUT when the 9th came a week and a half later Menlove took the payment out of my account over a month early. The following months I would notice the payments didn't come out of my account automatically. I had to call to have them do it manually. After many months of this I call and spoke with Dawn. She looked into it and found I wasn't setup for auto payment. She rectified the problem & I have been fine ever since. With that said, the very next day after getting me back in the auto pay system they deducted $176.00 out of my account in error. When I called to ask why they took the money out of my account, I was told the person who handles that was away from her desk & she would call me back. Within a half an hour she called me back and credited my account. Last month they took my payment out on the 1st instead of the 9th. Again I called to ask what they were doing & the girl that handles the payments said "Do you want your payment to be on the 1st?" I said NO, I just want you to honor the contract & take the payment out on the scheduled day. Aside from Dawn Menlove lacks professionalism, and systems processes to ensure customer satisfaction. By the way, my car broke down the day I picked it up due to their mechanic leaving the radiator cap unscrewed, causing my vehicle to overheat & purge most of the radiator fluid. And yes I am concerned with repercussions from Menlove due to my posting on yelp. I have no doubt when they took the payment out EARLY, if it didn't clear they would have shut my car off. If I could give negative 5 stars I would. I bought a car in February and was unhappy from the beginning. The check engine light came on the first day. After 4 trips to the shop and so many problems with the car, I decided to take it back. When I called in to tell them what I'd decided, that's when the horns came out. I'd volunteered to bring it in next day, explaining that I still had to get my child from school. We hang up and next thing I know, they shut the car off. When I called back, Lori was a total witch to me, hanging up on me twice. When I called back to ask for a supervisor, he, Axel, acted worse than she did. He berated and belittled me so badly that I was trembling. He was acting like it was my fault he sold me a piece of crap car.. Un-freaking believable. After so many problems and issues, you would think a reputable company would make it right. Guess that's greediness at its best. do you like being scammed. do you love paying over 700$ in repairs. do you like being lied to and tricked into signing an agreement with hidden terms. then buy your car here. cars sucks, price's are outrageous, no returns and to return your junk of a vehicle you have to pay 2,000 dollars. just buy a car everywhere else but here. less of a hassle. shopping is so inconvenient and their methods of sales and service are poor and unorthodox. wish i could give them -5 stars read more
