I arrived for my appointment today, expecting a fairly straightforward experience. Unfortunately, despite there being only one other customer in the store, I waited nearly fifteen minutes without being greeted or acknowledged. Multiple staff members passed by without offering assistance. When I finally asked an employee, a man with a pony tail, whether the store was too busy, I was told they were "pretty covered up." After mentioning that I had an appointment, I was simply told I could wait up front if I wanted to "check in." At that point, I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. I understand Men's Wearhouse is now a "down market" brand, but basic customer service and honoring scheduled appointments should still be standard. My boyfriend rented a suit jacket and pants for his friend's wedding and had a lovely experience with all the staff members he interacted with at Men's Wearhouse. He submitted an order request and made an appointment at the store to get measured. It was a fast process, and he was able to set up the pick-up location to another store that was closer to the wedding venue. It fit him perfectly and came in a nice hanging suit carrier. The price was reasonable given that he wore the suit for an entire day as a bachelor for his best friend's wedding, and it was a fraction of the price compared to if he were to buy the suit. Rude staff. Looked at me strange as if I didn't have the money. Little do the they know I make an above average salary, don't pay rent, and have tens of thousands in savings as a 25 year old from a middle class family. They would not size me, made me look at rentals and made me look at prices on the wall. Then a customer gave me the same strange look and nodded in approval, and then at that point I could feel the customers and the staff all ganging up on me with that "you're young, we don't recommend you spend this kind of money" kind of look. This is what's wrong with the world atm, people are very stuck in their heads with their assumptions, and then they gang up and aim to humiliate. We have to fight against this. I am not from a rich family, I have worked very hard to get and keep the salary I have and have patiently saved this money. We are a black and white thinking society. Again great service, very nice clothes. After checking in by phone at the entrance I only had I short wait. I was then helped by the next associate available. I was only there for a tie. My best friend was turning 50 and having a birthday party. The ties are beautiful and there are many to choose from. After making my selection the tie was wrapped and put in a nice box with a gift receipt. Small tip, make sure and check that the price was removed. The man who helped me did not remove the price. Good thing my wife checked. Love coming here for the shirts when I pick out ties. It is expensive, but it is genuine quality clothing. read more

Entered the store and no one greeted me or informed me that I needed to sign in at podium until I wandered around and finally asked and at that point several others had signed up before me after arriving after me so my wait was lengthened. Other men were greeted and assisted but I was completely ignored as a woman walking in with a prom dress trying to match a bow tie. Waited thirty minutes to finally be acknowledged. Salesman seemed put out to have to wait on me but was very attentive and friendly to the men who he would probably be making more of a commission on. So I went in to rent a suit for an event. The fitting was weird and awkward and didn't leave me with any kind of confidence it would be right. I should have paid attention to my gut. When the day arrived to pick it up, I went and signed in, then wandered around the store for a half hour while ALL the staff worked on a wedding party fitting. Every other customer in the store was ignored. I didn't get so much as a nod from anyone. Some poor woman and her son were standing AT THE REGISTER just trying to buy something and they never got any help either. I finally left and decided to try again the next day. I'm the next attempt I got help much quicker. That was promising I thought. Except the vest and tie were wrong and the jacket didn't even remotely fit. Also everything was obviously beat up and frayed looking. I mean sure, it's a rental, but it's not a cheap rental at $250. I was told they would try to get an emergency jacket replacement but couldn't guarantee anything because I hadn't come before 4pm and he was "sorry that wasn't explained better." I then told him about yesterday's visit and he "graciously" offered a discount if they couldn't get another jacket in time for the event. Meanwhile, we were standing in a store surrounded by literally hundreds of suit jackets and none were offered as a solution. So here I am with a formal event tomorrow and no formalwear, no way to get any, and a guy at the store blaming me for their screwups. Men's Wearhouse: you'll look like an idiot wearing an Ill fitting suit. I guarantee it. I will absolutely never under any circumstances do business with these jokers again and if you're thinking about trusting them with something big like a wedding, I suggest you reconsider. I've never experienced such abysmal service in my life. Update: Bumping the rating from 1* to 2* because they did come through with the jacket in time but wow what a mess the whole thing has been. I'll also add that I finally got to meet and work with the guy everyone has been saying is great (slicked back white hair) and he is, in fact, great. There has been times we've came in to check out suits for our groomsman and my husbands custom suit .. always very helpful from Ramone. This place is getting a 3 star because there's another older heavyset gentleman that is rude & speaks to you as if you're dumb, when we asked to look at our items .. he asked us for our Group Number .. we don't go around carrying the group number you gave us 2 weeks prior .. so instead of giving us other options to find out items in the system .. he just states and let's you scrambled to find the group number. when we finally asked him if there was another way to locate it . Comes to find .. it's obviously more work and inconvenient for him to locate. Sir if you are reading this .. I suggest you find another occupation if you don't like your job or have great customer service . we are wedding planning and let alone can remember the "Group Number" Also if you're renting a suit - the pocket napkins comes with it . He tried to charge us $5 a napkin . The day we came in to pick up our suit - the nice girl who helped us told us they would not be charged as he was incorrect. Worst service I've ever had. I came to this location a few weeks ago and worked with Ramone. He was very professional and so helpful. Came back today and all 3 employees just watched me and my boyfriend standing at the front ready to check out and wouldn't even make eye contact. They told us we had to sign in to receive service. We didn't even need help we were just waiting at the register for them to help other customers try on clothes, be fitted and find something to purchase. They even had other customers go in front of us to be checked out when we had been waiting to check out before them. Definitely won't be returning unless Ramone is working. read more

I want to give a massive shout out to Dana Ware the Store Manager of the Gateway Shopping Center Men's Wearhouse. My son is getting married in December and he's tall but also slim. Dana helped him choose a custom suit that would be perfect for his size. She worked with him to find the best fabric and then took all his measurements. She was amazing. The suit came in and we went in today to do the final alterations. Once again she was amazing! Helped him choose the perfect pant cuff, found him a slim fit shirt and a tie that matches beautifully. She works so hard and is just the best!! We ordered all of the groomsman and usher's (10) suits from her as well. We couldn't have navigated this important time without her kindness, patience and knowledge. If you need a suit - go to Men's Wearhouse and ask for Dana. She's the BEST!!!! read more

This Men's Wearhouse is the best in the country, and I've been to a lot. Men's Wearhouse is also the only place I like to shop for clothes. All my suits are from here, most of my dress clothes, and a good portion of my casual clothes. Today, I brought 4 custom shirts and my custom suit in because of a problem I was having with the cuffs. If you don't know, custom items get free lifetime alterations. Not having used that service, I was wondering whether they would be overly willing to help me. They very quickly completely eliminated any doubt. They took a detailed look at what was happening, determined a few modifications that would help, and made the adjustments. Thank you Ms. Han! I live on the opposite side of town, hate Austin traffic, and still drive to this location. It is worth it. In short, you're crazy if you don't shop here. read more

This location is by far way busier and seemed to have more selection for tuxes than the RR location. The girl that helped us here the first time when we were just looking at our options was very kind and worked with us by dressing the manequin. Did you know guys cant try on tuxes? We didnt. news to us. We decided on MW bc everyone in our wedding party could get fitted at a location near them and pick up here in ATX. perfect. Al's formal wear seemed a little shady to us. The second time we went in the girls there were helping another party. Not sure if it was for a quince or a wedding but they flat out ignored us. IGNORED US. Never said, "we'll be with you in a minute" or... "sorry for the delay". they just kept walking around us as we stood by the vests. I didnt know if an appointment was required or what? Eventually we were helped by a very nice young teenage boy. Who measured my fiancee and got things set up in the system for us. He is the reason the visit turned out well but the entire rest of the staff have no excuse for just ignoring us. Had this been our first visit we would have turned around and walked right out. I would not recommend this location for wedding rental fittings. I received slow and distasteful customer service from the start. Walked in for my appointment and not a single employee acknowledged me or asked if I needed assistance for quite a few minutes so I decided to walk to the back where employees were seated and ask to do my fitting, was told to sign in at the front, okay great, the lady that did my measurements (never even got her name) was off-putting and handed me a pair of slacks and shoes and stuck me in a fitting room, usually I'm given the entire suit or one that's similar and am able to see in the mirror so no idea why that didn't happen this time, then when I tried to tell the lady I have no idea how I'm going to look and that I was concerned about the measurements and having a baggy suit she said "this is how fittings work" like I haven't done one before. Makes me want to go to another location and redo it. Well excuse me, one of my best friends is getting married and I don't want a baggy suit. I've had much more pleasant experiences in other Men's wearhouse locations. Hard pass on this location. read more

First visit here, for son's wedding. Picking up our suits we were quickly shown to our dressing room where we could try on our rentals. Here is where the visit went bad. We were abandoned by the first clerk. We needed some help because the shoes for our order were missing. Turns out, the shoes were never ordered, but we didn't know that at the time. Enter Dylan, our rescuer. Not only did Dylan rescue us, he rescued the review on yelp for Men's Wearhouse. He Fitted the shoes got them ordered and made sure that they were going to be delivered to the right store in time for the wedding. Why the store manager never ordered business cards for Dylan is beyond me. If I had a retail establishment and needed good help, he's the first guy I would call. read more
