Always hesitant about awarding 5 stars based on a 1-time visit, especially when that visit lasts for less than 5 minutes. But... I'm a Luddite in so much, and ignorant about that much more, but especially when it comes to all things sartorial. Once, I worked with a guy referred to as "the unmade bed" because of how he dressed, and that pejorative could apply equally to me, I'm afraid. When it comes to suits and ties, I wore a Robert Hall ensemble when I was a kid for church or the rare wedding or the even rarer funeral. Graduating from college, my "gift" was a suit and tie for job interviews, and work (church going ended for me when I was 15 and refused to attend anymore; it was my 1st act of "adult independence;" by the way, I see preachers these days on TV worth multi-millions...so much for the Jesus adage about it being harder for a rich man to enter heaven that it would be for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle.... and looking like they just came in out of a garage after working on the crank shaft of a car-- no Robert Hall suits for these guys!). When I was in my 20s, I secured the job that I had for the next 23 years, and suits/ties/etc. weren't required. So the suit and tie went into storage (the back of the closet). Some years ago, a friend died, and I attended her funeral in Newark. At the time, I dug out my old "job interview" jacket, and as I tried to button it, I thought, "Getting a little paunchy there, pal!" I wore it at the funeral but left it unbuttoned. I don't think Gina would have minded. When another friend died a few months ago, I dug out the "job interview" jacket again, but this time it didn't fit around my shoulders. I was well dressed at the funeral, but no suit or tie (I think Joe would have understood). Recently, I learned that my oldest friend's son is getting married soon, and I'm invited. I knew the "tight around the shoulders/paunchy in the gut, pal!" jacket wasn't going to work. I don't have a ton of discretionary income to spend, and someone mentioned Men's Warehouse as a viable, reasonable place to buy such clothes. I looked them up on-line and realized the closest store to me was in the mall by the Somerville Circle. Yesterday, I traveled to that mall, drove slowly past the stores, and came to the Men's Warehouse at the end of the mall, next to the Barnes & Noble (which I've reviewed in the past). Parking at this mall can be strange in the way the parking spaces are arranged, and the direction you can travel going in or out, but at that time of day it wasn't particularly crowded, and I was able to find a spot close by the store. I mentioned I'm ignorant about some (a lot of) things, 1 of them being the cost of suit jackets. I figured on spending approximately $100. I walked toward the back, and a young salesclerk approached me, asking if I needed help. I did. I mentioned I wanted a jacket to wear to a wedding, and he suggested a dark Joseph Abboud from the rack. I tried it on, and it fit ok, looked ok, and I said I'd take it. I figured he'd maybe want to measure me or make some alterations (they did so when I acquired that "job interview" suit so long ago) but he didn't, which was actually a relief for me. He was ready to wrap it up, but I figured it was more sensible to just take it out on its coat hanger. I anticipated a price of about $100. Instead, the price came to $300-plus and I went into a state of shock. My credit card bill right now is higher than I'd like it to be, and I'm trying to save money for my cataract surgery, and I just spent $900-plus for car tires. A cost of $300-plus is not what I need right now, but I know I need to look presentable for the wedding, and so I handed over my credit card with the trepidation of Judas handing his soul over to Satan. The young clerk rang me up, and I walked out in a daze. Had anticipated a visit to the Barnes & Noble next door, but that was now out. Drove home mumbling to myself, "$300-plus for a jacket? It can't be...Robert Hall never cost that much! Robert Hall cost...well, I don't remember, Mom and Dad paid for it, but it wasn't $300-plus!" Talked to some people I know when I got home, including my oldest friend whose son is the 1 getting married, and learned that $300-plus for a Robert Abboud jacket is fair. So, despite my personal feelings about it, I went to the store to buy a jacket, got the jacket, and was out of the store in less than 5 minutes. I can't think of any reason why the rating should be less than 5 stars. Now I have to start thinking about buying shoes... (I mentioned to my friend what it had cost, and said, "Look, I was going to buy a fancy pair of pants, but I have some nice dark slacks, and...you wouldn't be offended if I wore those, would you? After all, your son and the bride-to-be are going to be the focus of attention, not me." He said, "Ed, I don't care. Just so long as you show up, I don't care what pants you're wearing." We stopped here as our future son in law chose this vendor for groomsmen wedding tuxedo The first time we went no one could help us.. We waited for about 30 minutes. My husband then said "we're leaving " someone heard us and said someone would be right with us. The girl that was helping us would give my husband everything small. My husband would tell her, "I'm a big guy" we placed the order and made sure to ask if she had chosen the correct size. The shoe sample was a joke, size 13, looked like a dog had chew the shoe. Why would you keep a sample trial that looks so bad and feels uncomfortable. They told us they would email us when the suit arrived. We stopped by the same day we received the email confirmation to find out the shirt was so small, it was crazy. An order had to be made overnight delivery. It wouldn't be delivered the next day based on the time we were there, it would arrive in two days. Back to the store we went to find out, shirt was still small. This is the only men's warehouse that does not measure the clients. This time, the manager opened a brand new shirt bag to be sold and had him try it out. Perfect. The value in tuxedos have definitely gotten up on price. read more

My son and his wedding group ordered suits for his wedding day. He went in to try his on and they measured him wrong and the jacket did fit with no time to order a new one. They made him buy a jacket for $350. Just letting you know never use this company. They're a big rip off. read more

Worst service. We bought a couple polos. We washes them according to the instructions and the shirts shrunk considerably. We went back to the store to exchange them for a different size but the manager refused. He kept saying "that's on you." How is it on me if I followed instructions? This is my 4th experience renting a tux with men's warehouse in Bridgewater & everytime I'm always very impressed with how professional and helpful all the employees are. Even today when my son's tux came in, the pants were a little too short but they quickly altered them for us and they looked great. What an awful experience! We came to this location 2 weeks before our event date. We picked out a suit and all 3 pieces needed alterations. We were told that only one item (pants) couldn't be altered accordingly, and we were okay with that! We come in for our second fitting the following week and they tell us that it would be impossible to finish the 2 remaining pieces because of the back log! They should have told us that it was not possible so that we could have gone to a place that could accommodate us. Now we have NO SUIT for our event. This is extremely irresponsible practice on their part and could have been avoided. So disappointing. read more

I want to thank the staff at this particular men's warehouse because they helped me look great for my brother's wedding. When i dealt with the terrible customer service at the Bay Ridge NY Mens warehouse they told me there's nothing they could do for my suit jacket that my sleeves were more than 3inches short on me. The incompetent staff there told me there's nothing they could do, and they don't do on the spot alterations, and "you should've came the day before". I tried my luck at this men's warehouse which was close to the venue and the staff here were so accommodating! I told them my sleeves were really short and explained I was a groomsman for an event that started in 4hrs. That the site in NY told me they couldn't do anything for me and I asked if it was possible if they could alter the sleeves because it looked like a suit for a child. A man came out and measured the suit on me and did some markings. 15mins later he came out with a suit jacket that actually fit me. I am so grateful for the accommodating staff at this location. This review is for this particular Men's Warehouse location, not the overall company. The staff is rude, unprofessional and unaccommodating. I went there by myself as the bride to do some reconnaissance for my groom. I met with the store manager who was pushy but willing to spend time with me which I appreciated. I scheduled an appointment to come back and meet with the store manager and my groom two weeks later to the day I visited. I made the appointment with the store manager whom with I was meeting. He was going to bring me a special swatch for the tuxedo color I was inquiring about and made a point to come in early to meet my schedule. I appreciated his actions. But I had a funny feeling I was going to get stood up. That's exactly what happened. The store manager "forgot" showed up 1.15 hours late for our appointment, with no swatch. It was ok because we ended up working with another sales associate who seemed to know what he was doing. Seemed. He too was very pushy and wouldn't listen to anything my fiancé and I had to say. It was his way and that was the only way. He was also the only employee working at the time so he had to juggle the entire store himself. This extended our appointment much longer than it needed to be because he had to stop and attend to other people, which is job understandably but poor judgement on the manager's part by only having one person work for the first two hours of the store opening. I would advise brides and burials parties to use Men's Warehouse as their inventory at men's Warehouse is moderately priced and vast. For the average tuxedo and/or suit it offers a lot of options, one being able to make a custom suit/tuxedo. The prices are very reasonable and you can save money by booking in groups which makes it very easy for wedding/prom parties and other events. However, do not use this location. You will be disappointed with the customer service, or lack-there-of. read more

I stopped by Men's Warehouse on a Friday night. Had to update the style of suit I had. Figured might as well go in there to take advantage of any Christmas deals they might have going on. The store manager Rich Kroner greeted me and before we could get going I realized that my time management was poor and I had to leave. Told him I would be back tomorrow. Walked in the next day and he greeted me enthusiastically. Within a minute or two a sales person, William, came up and helped me out. Not only was he knowledgeable and helpful but friendly as well. After we picked out a color and style I went back to try them on. They fit pretty well. But after meeting with the tailor they should fit fantastic. We then went to another table where he had already laid out several shirt and tie combinations. Some of which I would have had trouble putting together. We then picked up a belt and shoes to go along with it. Bottom line- if you want to look like every other schlub out there thencontinue to buy your suit at the department store. If you want to be a Sharp Dressed Man then definitely shop here. read more

PSA: please Brides and Grooms be careful when renting suits or tuxes from the Men's Wearhouse. I have photographed a lot of weddings and 9 times out of 10 the tuxes or suits come to large, to small, missing items, and/or dirty. This causes A Lot of stress prior to the wedding. Today is a family members wedding. When we went to order the suit the person waiting on us was pretty rude and ignored us even though we were next on the line. My husband was supposed to get his suit on Thursday. They forgot to order it but did not forget to charge his card. We came to an agreement that it would be shipped to us over night to get to our house by 8:45am. Shocker it never showed. Now he will be wearing a suit that will not match the wedding party. So instead of the groom standing out in his nice beige suit he will be standing out in a blue suit. Follow up: The Wedding So when I get to the venue the grooms pants buckle is broke and his pants are to big. So I had to spend time finding enough safety pins to keep his pants from falling off. The back of his suit jacket's hem was undone and looked awful. But since I didn't bring sewing material I wasn't able to fix that. I am sure it looked great in the ceremony photos. Please think twice before ever using this company! read more

I am currently in the process of preparing for my upcoming wedding had received amazing service from both Brenton as well as Kwasi. The process started several weeks ago when I came in to discuss preliminary options for both groomsmen rentals as well as custom tuxedo options. Even though I was not going to make a purchase at that time they both invested the time in me to ensure I had the information I needed to make a good decision. My bridal party is traveling from throughout the US as well as internationally and Kwasi was more than patient as I reached out to him numerous times (even after setting up rental) in order to ease any concerns I or my groomsmen had. I never felt as if I was an inconvenience and I was never on hold for more than a few minutes; He was always able to provide me with a clear and concise answer to any question I had. He also worked with me to ensure that there would be enough time to address any issues that came up (it's a wedding... things happen). I am keenly aware that the suits are not stored at the local branch and often times they received from a distribution center shortly before the pick-up date; I choose not to have a tight turnaround which could result in problems. One of my groomsmen has gone through his fitting process and everything was exactly as Kwasi promised. When I came in to finalize everything not only did Kwasi juggle my pragmatism but also an opinionated bride. We both got what we wanted and then very comfortably transitioned me to Brenton. If you've taken the time to read my prior reviews, you will be able to tell that I am rather particular with what and how I want things. Brenton was able to pick up on my subtle buying cues and put together a custom suit that was exactly what I wanted. He was also able to get the "vision" I was going for as well as was knowledgeable about what specific aspects of a suit would best with my body type and a lot of the tedious details became an afterthought. The process was so fluid that when I got home I realized that I hadn't talked through minor details. When I called Brenton back, all of those details were exactly what I wanted, ie. pocket style, vents, pleats, stitching around the buttons. He is very knowledgeable and an excellent guide to anyone new to MTM suits. After a few days I had some additional revisions that I wished to make (nothing to do with the style cues he picked up and selected) and he was more than happy to adjust them yet again. Do I expect a flawless process across the country? No. Have I and the team at Men's Warehouse been proactive to ensure that we have the time and ability to address any issues that may come up? Yes. Am I confident that our proper and advance planning will pay off? Yes. I look forward on updating this in November! read more

My son got married last weekend and rented all the tuxes from Mens warehouse around the US. The wedding party was scattered around so this large chain seemed like a good choice. I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 only because they got most of the suits right. My rental was a mess. When I went to pick up it was obvious I had someone else's order, everything was too small, shirt, shoes, pants, vest and jacket. They altered the pants, replaced the vest, shirt and shows and ordered another jacket. The jacket came in Saturday AM (Sunday wedding) and I tried everything on. The salesman packed up the suit and I left confident that I'd have a fitting tux. When the photographer came for pre-wedding pics, the jacket didn't fit, they had packed the wrong one. I called the local store and they didn't have my size, so I called this store (an hour away) and after 30 minutes on the phone they located my jacket. I insisted they drive it to the venue and got there 15 minutes before the ceremony. When I returned the suit I talked to the manager. He offered $40 off, I insisted on a full refund which he gave me. I would write this off as a simple mistake, but apparently the groom's Dad also had fitting issues, the best man had accessories missing and one of the groomsman had incorrect accessories. Note, I did not find anyone rude or unprofessional, the measurements were accurate, the received someone else's order so the error was on men's warehouse corporate, not this store. read more

I brought my son to rent a tuxedo from the Men's Wearhouse in Bridgewater for his prom and it was a terrible experience. The salesman was measuring him for his tux way to small and told us that was the style. The jacket was tight and the pants were to short. If he chooses to dress that way that's fine but that's not the way everyone else dresses. They need to hire more knowledgeable salesmen. I went to Dante Tuxedos in Somerville and they were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable and had a great selection. read more

Was told it takes 2 weeks to get waste of pants opened up by tailor. I asked if they can do it quicker, but the response from the associate was that they will take a look. He made it a point to tell me that if the pants smell, they won't do it. Kind of weird customer service in my opinion to say that before ever seeing the pants. read more

I have waited a while to write this review. I do not write many 1-star reviews (see my profile) and I get absolutely no joy in writing them. It actually pains me to do so, but when they are warranted, you just have to. This review is also for this particular location, not the Men's Wearhouse brand, in general. I have only ever used them for wedding services, but I have been here many times. In theory, Men's Wearhouse should be great. Whether you are a groom or a groosmen, you can simply go to any Men's Wearhouse in the country and get measured for your suit or tux and return it to any Men's Wearhouse in the country. That is, by far, my favorite part about this company. It makes the whole tux/suit rental or purchase incredibly convenient. However, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. For my wedding, I had my groomsmen get their tuxes at Men's Wearhouse. For the most part, everything went smooth (or so I thought). When the day of the wedding came around, I realized one of my groosmen had a different style vest. He didn't go to this particular location, so I can't fault them there. I went to the store to complain about this since this store took my order and, to their credit, they took care of me. In this case, it was actually great customer service - just bad what happened. The vest was the same color/pattern - it was just a different type of design. I had been here for other weddings and everything went relatively smooth. That was until my most recent trip. My friend set up all the groomsmen to get their suits at Men's Wearhouse and this was an absolute disaster. Initially, I went to get sized and a woman helped me out and she was incredibly friendly and helpful. I was in and out - no complaints there. The next time I went back was to try the suit on - the place was an absolute madhouse and my buddy and I were there for easily over an hour and a half. My suit needed alterations - not a big deal. When I went back to pick the suit up, the pants were incredibly too short - almost to the point that it was completely laughable. There was absolutely no way I could wear the pants and I would have to go back, yet again. Take 2 - I came back and the suit fit great. Then, the groom also arranged for everyone to pick up their shirts, ties and pocket squares that he had purchased for everyone. I went on a Friday night to pick them up only to be told that they weren't paid for and they couldn't just let me leave with unpaid items. Pretty reasonable - except the fact that my buddy had paid for them - they just had no record of this. They called me 2 days later to tell me that everything was there...and paid for. I get to the store and I am instructed to walk to the back. When I get back there, one of the guys working there asks me what I need and I explain that I am here to pick up a shirt, tie and pocket square. Obviously, I think he is going to help me. He starts typing into the computer - 3 minutes later, he picks up the phone to make a call. 3 minutes later - another guy working there asks me if I am being helped and I say that I think so and point to the guy on the phone. The guy on the phone then says he can't help because he is busy and instructs the other guy to help me out. I wanted to ask the guy - if you had no intention of helping a customer, why even ask? Just keep surfin' the internet, dude. Then, the guy who was helping me comes out of the back and says he can't find anything with my name on it. I told him I was there 2 days ago and saw it, so I know that it is here somewhere. He seriously looks through the entire store for a good 15 minutes and finally finds it up front. This guy helped me out and I appreciated it, but I was so relieved to finally get out of this store. I had to come to this store 5 different times for one wedding. With the exception of my house and my favorite bar, I don't want to go anywhere 5 times. Needless to say, I will not be heading back here any time soon. I will probably use another location going forward, if I have to. With these type of places, it's all about the experience one personally has and mine just have not been positive. read more

To be clear, this review is for THIS specific location. And the assistant manager who helped me was Robert R. Basically, I was involved in a bulk tuxedo rental out of the bridgewater mall store and it was nothing but trouble from the start and every step of the way- for everyone involved. When things were finally all set, I went to pick up my tux and it was so mismeasured that it looked like a clown costume- jacket two sizes too big, pants up to the tops of my socks. They apologized, remeasured, and said it would be available the day before my event. I went today to pick up and, while it was better, the sleeves were different lengths and the pants barely reached the top of the shoe (I'm only 5'5"). They said it would be tough to alter in time so I asked about my bringing it to the location I'm reviewing, at the Somerville circle. When I entered the store they were immediately willing to solve the issue. They said they'd get the sleeves adjusted in 15 minutes and see if another pair of pants was available. While waiting, I asked about a Tux for purchase in my size. there was one, and with some alterations would fit really well. They asked me if I'd rather have this tux altered by that evening, ready for my event the next day. After explaining that I wasn't going to pay for the tux because I had $200 worth of rewards coming my way, and after an initial hesitation on their part to be able to use those rewards towards the purchase do soon, Robert said, 'you know what, we'll take care of it and you just come back tonight and it'll be ready.'. Sure enough, went back, picked it up, didnt pay a thing for the Tux that I now own. It was an awful situation at the bridgewater mall store made easier and resolved at this location. My son is getting married. He and his bride had all the grooms men and the dad go for a tuxedo measuring. They were told to come back 2 weeks prior to the event day to double check all measurements. My son ensures that all his groom men we there on the same date ad time. The sales staff were dreadfully rude and rather dismissive to my son. They were like well why are you here who could have grown that much to need measurements checked. My son indicated that his brother who is 14 years old has been growing a lot and definitely needs to be remeasured. They took my younger son and "re-measured' him and said everything was fine. I was certain this was wrong. When my husband and son went to pick up their tuxedos, my husband had one that fit because they properly remeasured him a few weeks ago. My younger son's tuxedo the vest was too tight, the pants were too short and the tie was a men's size instead of a boys tie. This all happened on Monday they then told him they would fix the pants but the proper tie would not be in until Friday between 11a-2p. Well that is a problem because we are leaving Friday morning to go away for the wedding weekend. So I called the store, after spending many minutes on hold and on hold multiple times, suddenly the tie will in tomorrow (Wednesday) and they explained how it was human error. I find that to be a pitiful answer. We had always used this store for numerous proms with tuxedos, my husband buys his suits there. After this I will NEVER use them again. The mistakes and disregard for the customer and how rude they were to my son two weeks ago and the errors with the tux are more that inexcusable. It took under 2 hours with minor alterations that was even done while we were shopping. Let me start by saying my suit came out decent at the end of the day but I give this place two stars because their service is horrible. I had to get a suit for a wedding I was in and I had to use men's warehouse. Getting the measurements done took a long time because the sales person Robert was juggling 5 different customers at once. He knows his stuff but when stuff is supposed to be there and wasn't he didn't even call to tell me not to come in yet, I had to call and double check which I was glad I did bc there was a problem and it was not all there. When I finally went in to try it on, the store was mobbed and again I had to deal with being juggled between 5 other customers. Either hire more people or start taking appointments if you're that busy. Also was supposed to bring in a tux for me to look at and never called me regarding that as well. The promise but have a problem delivering. Also, they don't have attention to detail which in my opinion is a large part of this business. read more

Where do I begin? A specific salesman came highly recommend so I decided to see him about a new suit for my upcoming wedding. I walked in looking for a blue suit and a white shirt and within minutes I was bombarded with everything except what I was looking for. It was evident they didn't have a blue suit in my size but they were going to push this sale regardless. Without knowing any better I let the salesman jam me in a smaller suit and convince me (and it took lots of convincing) that with alterations I would be fine. Well it wasn't fine, it looked terrible. Let's just say after 6 visits and multiple alterations I finally ran out of time. Twice I was told the salesman would pick up a suit in my size and call me, but he never called. The day I went to pick my suit up he didn't even say hello when I entered the door - instead he handed me the new larger suit and was nowhere to be found when I came out of the changing room. The day of my wedding my jacket was still a little tight and my pants were way too big, but serviceable with a belt as long as I didn't remove my jacket. Needless to say I'm very disappointed. These guys sell, sell, sell and when it came time for answers no one was accountable. If you like pushy salesmen that won't give you the time of day once you open your wallet and tailors that rush you in and out-this is your place. read more

Rented several tuxes for my wedding. All arrived on time and no issues with service when we went to get fitted and when we picked them up. They even diverted one tux to Delaware at our request! No issues. ******** got home from honeymoon. Could not find checkbook. Came home from work the following day and there's a package from Men's Wearhouse with my checkbook in it.
