If I good give a negative 5 they'd deserve it @ the Deptford location. My husband went to pick up a black suit he rented for a wedding. Not only did they give him a tux, which was not a black suit, they refused to fix the problem. Manager stood around & told us their was nothing they could do. WTH !!! I had a bad experience with the manager. He insisted that I must get my new suit dry cleaned in order to be altered. The suit is brand new and tags were still on it. I don't remember ever being told it must be dry cleaned to be altered and two of my groomsmen got their suits altered and we're not asked to do this. I entered the store on 11/4/23 around 3 pm and explained that I'd like my suit altered. The manager and another worker insisted I must have it dry cleaned. I was taken aback and left the store. I came back in hoping to explain that the suit was brand new. I ended up speaking to a different employee that was standing upfront when I came back in. I explained that it was brand new, and this employee and another employee concurred that it would be fine. I went in the back to change into my suit so it could be altered. I was just finishing up getting dressed when the manager came by and was very rude. It seemed like he had an attitude because I circumvented him. In reality, I just felt that I had not initially explained that the suit was brand new. He said something like "How's that suit that needs to be dry cleaned fitting you"? He seemed irritated and explained to his employee that it must be dry cleaned, which was awkward because of his attitude. I can understand having a bad day, but the manager came across like a disrespectful person I general. My opinion. I went to the Cherry Hill location. I wasn't given a hard time about the dry cleaning thing at all and received great service. read more

I took my son into the Deptford location today to get a suit for a hockey event for school. Nick helped us. He hooked us up with exactly what my son was looking for and gave us great advice on a shirt and tie combo. We also had my son's suit tailored and Nick facilitated that as well. Excellent experience! ~ Let me first start off this has been the worst customer experience in any retail store I have ever been in. This Men's Wearhouse should be renamed to Men's Hellhouse. First Impressions: I went there for a tux fitting for my brothers wedding, a frumpy dressed girl quickly measured me, & I requested everything to be slimfit when ordering. I come to find out 4 days before the wedding when picking up my pants were not slimfit, & looked like parachute pants. The shoes looked like middle-school girl clogs, the shirt was a cheap see-through material & sweat colored (pictured). After seeing the pricey horrible quality tux I was a bit agitated, I asked the same frumpy dressed girl who saw me before to grab a slim fit pair of pants for me to try on. (Note: I requested the same size of the suit pants I had on for work that day.) She replied that size would not fit, & I insisted for her to go get them because I have 15+ suits in that same size. When trying them on in the fitting room I overheard her whispering/complaining around the corner about this situation. After the pants that I requested fit perfectly I decided I would like a different sales person due to her attitude. A young gentleman came over & accommodated with ease, I ordered the slimfit pair of pants, & would pick them up a day before the wedding. Day before the wedding pickup: The store was packed & under staffed (pictured) I was in a hurry leaving work, & to get to the rehearsal so I asked to just pickup & quickly pay. After 15 minutes of waiting the gentleman finally went, & handed me the tux... I proceeded to go to the front desk to pay. The exchange took 1 minute tops & after waiting the initial 15 minutes, which I should've never been having to go back in the first place.. I also noticed the frumpy looking girl unprofessionally wrote in big letters "NEEDS TO PAY!" on the receipt.. obviously I need to pay, I do not understand why it was so obnoxiously written (pictured). Day of wedding.... I open the bag put on all the clothes & notice the vest was not put into the tux bag...so the day of the wedding, I am an hour away from the store.. thus having to call my brother (the groom) to race over from his house & pick it up right before his wedding.. This concludes the Mens Hellhouse experience & I will never step foot in one again. Recommendations: Close the store down or train staff properly. Worst customer service, time management skills, and communication skills from the Deptford NI store. Went 3 times to this location; the line was endless with zero communicarion. Waited 45 mins for someone to acknowledge our exsistance, only to tell me to sign in the back. We left because there were about 17 people waiting. On the third visit we waited and waited just for the girl to tell to go to another store because they don't fit kids. if you're planning a wedding go to another formal wear place. read more

Honestly just a terrible experience. Between the service and messing up my suit, it was terrible. This was my first time ever renting a suit and being part of a wedding. I got no help. After a long wait I get fitted for my suit. No one ever came back to help me or tell me about the fit of the suit. I waited for over 20 minutes and eventually was fed up and left. No one told me about return policy or anything. So then 2 days after the wedding, I return the suit and get charged 20$ for a "late fee". I checked my receipt and had no return date or anything shown. No one told me, how was I supposed to know? They are ridiculous and just don't care. read more

Robert H. was the best sales guy! Helped my son find a suit for homecoming with several different color options. He got us scheduled for tailoring and even recommended shoes to fit the look he wanted. Didn't like the way I looked or was treated. I purchased 2 suits from the Deptford store for just shy of $1000. Was rushed through the process. During the fitting the tailor didn't ask any questions (did I want cuffs on the trouser?, where did I want the break?, how long did I want the jacket sleeves? etc). I made what requests I could think of and she quickly marked up the clothes and ran to the back. My salesman, Robert, was very curt and not helpful. When I tried on the suits after picking them up, one of them had a jacket that was too tight and a pull in the pants. The other had pants cut way too big at the waist. When I returned, instead of apologies or taking any responsibility, Robert proceeded to lecture me that the sports coat I was wearing ( bought off a rack years ago) was not a perfect fit and that if I wanted better fitting clothes I should get custom. To add insult to injury he charged me an extra $15 to open the middle vent on the coat. Q1.. If the coat needed such dramatic alterations why did he suggest it in the first place? Q2 what is the value of my time and being inconvenienced? Q3 Why continue to lecture a customer on the clothes he is wearing when you were told to stop? Have had much better experiences at Macy's with larger selection, better prices and more competent tailoring. read more

Stood at the front counter for 5 mins without anyone stopping their conversations with one another to ask me if I needed help. Went in to pick up a suit, the line was long, unorganized and a list to sign in was somewhere. After signing in, my son was brought back, in the chaos of other people getting called back and the fitting rooms full, he came out. The pants along with most boys needed some tailoring. Kevin helped my son along with other associates who clearly looked annoyed and stressed with the work. The process took about 1 hour and the place was extremely busy. The associate did not have eye contact with me nor did he speak to me, as I was his mother and paying. Better organization and friendlier associates would be better for prom season. read more

Where to begin... we rented tuxedos for our wedding and at least four tux rentals were incorrect. Everyone was measured at the Deptford location and the tux's were picked up from there as well. They tried to blame it on going to a different store for measuring.... But they measured us. Some pants were 4inches too short, some were too long, some jackets were too long in the sleeves. The customer service was absolutely terrible. And they were not patient at all with my 5 year old. Bill the "manager" was literally huffing and puffing and saying "oh my god" in front of us and my children. My son was crying because of how many time they made him try on his pants and the pants were still messed up each time, Bill tried to send us home with pants that were clearly uneven, I spent two hours the night before my wedding trying to fix two tuxedos and Bill told me to just come back the day of the wedding because he was closing "soon"... I would not recommend this place at all! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. read more

Went to 2 other Men's Wherehouse locations and both were very busy with limited help. Then went to the Deptford store and waited a while before being helped. My husband purchased a tux with shirt and tie. He was measured and told when to return for pick up. Went on a Monday and was very busy. When they asked to help us they got his tux and was ready to check us out when we asked if he could try on. Thank goodness we did, one pant leg was longer then the other and there were white chalk marks in several places. Yes they did remove the marks but it took 4 tries to remove them all. It is now 3 days before my daughters wedding and my husband tried on the shirt and it didn't fit! We went back to this location and the gentleman threw the shirt on the back counter and said " we will have to burn that now" I looked at him and said What? He said you know Covid can't sell it now. He measured my husband and said he needed a bigger size! Didn't they do that the first time? Yes they measured wrong. And they didn't have his size in this or any nearby location!!! Thankfully we found a family owned Tux Rental/buy right in our area, she could not have been nicer. He tried on 3 shirts, got the one he wanted and when she heard our story steam pressed the shirt for us! NOW THAT IS GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Will never go or recommend Men's Wherehouse to anyone!!! Sorry you are understaffed and not good customer service!! To Lauren N You need to do better. On the day of my daughters wedding my husbands jacket button came off!!!! My tux rental worked fine, however I do think it was unreasonably expensive to rent. The store itself sort of pissed me off. I came in February for a fitting and May to pick up my tux (wedding and prom season). So I can understand that they were busy, but I did not like the service. Each of the three times that I was in the building (including dropping off the tux) one of the staff started to help me, then stopped helping me to help someone else and I had to wait around for them. I understood it the first time, because I was in the fitting room, and I don't expect them to wait around for me. The second time, I was standing right next to him. He had gotten my tux, all I needed was to swipe my card and leave, instead I waited for 10 minutes because it apparently took two people to answer the other customer's question. The third time, I returned my tux, he printed out my receipt, and all he had to do was HAND IT TO ME. Instead he answered the phone and talked to that customer while holding the receipt just out of reach. By the last time, I was angry. As I write this, I am fighting the urge to reduce it to 1 star. read more

They have the worst service I have ever seen and they don't even have the correct clothes I would never recommend you to go here it sucks.

first of all, nobody greeted me or my boyfriend at the door, we had to look around for someone to help us although they weren't much help because all they said was to go over there and scan the QR code to "get in line". while we waited for our turn for 20 mins there was no seats or anything and everyone was basically just standing around. there was a table full of BS they didn't put away too, very unprofessional. when it was our turn, the woman showed my boyfriend the different styles of tuxes and suits they had and then told us we CANT CHANGE THE COLORS ! he just picked a random one bc he wanted to leave immediately. she measured him like 2 sizes too large and gave him huge clothes and he hated it. he also mentioned the shirt was stained and had nasty stuff on it. great. then the worker asked if he liked it, gave no suggestions and just punched in the numbers and then was like "oh you're not buying this today ?" NO ! we literally said when we got there that we just came to look and try stuff on. had all these selections in the shop but can't change anything. ridiculous. we won't be coming back here. if you want a good suit place, go to Chadmoore in Blackwood. They have all different styles and the workers are actually helpful. you can change the style and colors too unlike MW. read more

We went to two other Men's Wearhouse stores before visiting this location and honestly, this one was just right. The first one had crappy salespeople..the second one didn't have a large enough selection...the third time was seriously the charm. Diane was incredibly helpful. She really listened to what we wanted, but then took the lead and found some amazing attire for the groomsmen for our upcoming wedding. And my guy looked good, if I do say so myself. We did come here on a Saturday and the staff seemed slightly overwhelmed, but they still did a good job. I would recommend hitting this store up on a weekday if you can just to avoid the crowds! read more

I have not rented, only reviewing for purchases- great selections, something always on sale. Predict fit program is free and saves quite a bit of money; tailoring on site and for anything you tailored can be readjusted for free for life; free pressing for life. Plus- ONLY men's clothing so the focus and expertise is all geared for men. No other store really compares. Jos. A. Bank maybe close but not as good and nobody else is in the same league. Needed a suit in less than a week so stopped in to see if they could help. Upon entering I was greeted by a few employees and complimented as well. Stephen assisted me and another customer that was preparing for a wedding party at the same time and through his knowledge of what we both wanted and were looking for he was able to flawlessly multitask and get us both what we wanted. Not really being a suit guy had no idea what to look for all I had to do was tell him what I wanted and BAM! this guy grabs a suit I tried it on tried and looked at a few more but the one he originally grabbed based on what I wanted and needed it for was the one I ended up getting. I definitely felt more comfortable and confident in what I got based on Stephen talking me through it and explaining things. Wearing a suit for an occasion is one thing but knowing how to wear it what looks best with body type and occasion he was an expert in and that helped a lot. I now know which specific brands are geared toward my body type as well. Definitely glad I came here vs Center City. The store was packed with weddings and proms and everything else and I was taken care of super quick. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. My wife and I recently got married this past May, and this place screwed everything up from start to finish. First, when my wife and I first went there to pick out groomsman suits, the girl there began insisting on me getting a tuxedo. I told her first that I wanted a suit, not a tux. But she kept insisting and insisting until I finally picked out a tux that I did not want. Then she had the nerve to say she saw tension between my wife and I. I found that to be funny since she was the one that caused the tension. Second, they misspelled my last name wrong in their system. I thought after the first time I brought it up, the problem would have been fixed. I was wrong. Every time somebody went for a fitting, they could never find my information. When my cousin went to get his tux, somebody there told him the wedding was cancelled. Third, I was supposed to be entitled to a free suit after the wedding. Apparently, I was supposed to be given a coupon with an expiration date on it. I was given no coupon and was never informed of a expiration date. When I went to claim my free suit, not only did I get an attitude from the man that greeted me, I had to hear snide comments from the kid behind the counter. If you are getting married or have an upcoming event, avoid this store at all costs. Go find yourself a nice independently owned store that will treat you right, and with respect. read more

Our son was looking for suits to purchase for his wedding (instead of rentals) and to be honest, we were not sure what to expect at this store due to previous ratings. Garrett helped the our son and the bridal party first and then my husband. He took his time explaining all our options and was the perfect salesman - knowledgeable, helpful and patient. He also was funny, which helped with a bunch of guys picking out suits (not the most exciting way to spend a Saturday morning)! I wanted to put 0 stars but couldn't. This place is awful. There were 6 of us getting fitted and had an appointment. It was for my buddy's wedding. We had this guy Jose who was awful. Since my buddy already paid he would still help everyone who walked in so he could get those commissions too. Despite there being other available employees. Jose was so awful but we had no choice. He had us by the balls since we already paid. Avoid this overpriced hole at all costs but if you can't, avoid Jose at least. I'm still in the store typing this. Went here Monday night for our wedding party, the groom, groomsmen and father of the groom needed to order their tux rentals for our October wedding. The boy helping us was really really young and seemed totally CLUELESS about anything having to do with a tux. Instead of giving us feedback on what styles are typical for a wedding, what accessories and shoes etc would look good he was asking US for advice! I asked a simple question about weather a vest is typical/nice for a wedding and he told me he didn't know and asked me what I thought to which I literally had to tell him "I don't know why you're asking me, I'm the bride and wear a dress and have no knowledge of tuxes or wearing them?!" He asked my father in law to be his name and misspelled it even after he was corrected once. He measured everyone about five sizes too big, when my brother came out of the fitting room his pants fell down! And to top it off here was this loud rude female employee who was arguing with the employee helping us and telling out loud in the store and huffing and puffing and slamming hangers down. Just a really terrible unprofessional experience. I mean we still put our order in because we were already there and it needed to be done but I would never come back or use them again and I will certainly warn my friends and family to stay far away from this store! read more

My husband and I went in to men's warehouse for my husband to be fitted for a wedding he is in. We rented all of the tuxes for our wedding here and we couldn't have been happier with everything. As we were there for him to be fitted we asked about receiving the free suit the groom gets after having the groomsmen rent their tuxes from there. The store manager Kevin was so helpful when it came to accommodating us and sizing him for a suit. He took his time with us and made us feel great about our experience. Went to this Men's Wearhouse on a Monday afternoon around 4:30 to rent a tuxedo for my son's prom. At first, I thought we made a mistake by coming here. The wait was a little long and only one tuxedo rental person was working, but then along came Bill. Bill saved the day! Bill is a young, professional young man who took great care of my son and answered all of our questions. This is the first time we rented a tuxedo and had many questions. Bill was great. He was patient, well-spoken, professional and very knowledgeable about the process and their products. Whatever apprehension we were feeling was alleviated by Bill and his professional manner. Men's Wearhouse of Deptford, you need to keep Bill and probably give him a raise. Bottom line: I am glad we went there. I feel confident in the price, the fit and thankfully the customer service. read more
