This experience was terrible, It forced me to leave my first ever review on any platform. The in store experience was good, no complaints there. However, when I accidentally returned the wrong item, I had to repeatedly call for updates on the status (10 times over 4 months with 30-50 minute calls), and was told they had lost a 200 suit coat and gave me a 20 dollar coupon on a $100 dollar purchase, which is the same coupon you get for registering your email. Terrible, horrific, worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

For tuxedo rental, the Men's Wearhouse at Southdale in Edina was amazing! We found ourselves needing to rent a tuxedo on 1 day's notice, for senior prom. They got us in on time despite it being the busiest season of the year. The expert helping us had been working there for like 20 years, and knew EVERYTHING about tuxedos. He was incredibly efficient, helpful, and just plain fun to talk with. Everything arrived on time on the morning of Senior Prom. Everything fit perfectly! Then our son lost his cufflinks in the Mosh Pit. I fully expected to have to pay for those. But to my utter amazement, they made a funny joke and waived it! On top of everything else, their prices were really low compared to other rental places. And the tuxedo was fine wool, and looked fantastic! (See photo). read more

Really terrible service all around. Part of a wedding party getting suits. We had suits shipped to the wrong locations, rude staff and really bad pick up and return policies. Wedding is on Saturday and several hour drive. No one could pick up the suits until the Thursday before and you had to return on Sunday or get charged a late fee, even though they close early on Sunday. Absolute joke. Do yourself a favor and order suits elsewhere. read more

Absolutely awful experience visiting the Southdale Men's Wearhouse location. More specifically, dealing with an individual by the name of Tim. His ability to provide adequate customer service: 0/10, capability to maintain professionalism while engaging customers: 0/10, and willingness to put forth an effort toward imploding his prospects at succeeding in a customer-facing role: 10 out of 10. To start, I was required to purchase a suit from this abomination of an establishment for a wedding. Upon my initial visit, I was strongly encouraged to purchase one size up because they did not have the smaller size in store. I vehemently explained that this would not suffice as I've purchased multiple suits over the course of my life. Due to time constraints, we decided the best option was to place an order for the smaller size and complete sleeve alterations. I was then informed the suit would arrive in one week and would be notified upon it's arrival. Nearly two weeks went by and zero communication came from MW. I then spoke to a representative over the phone who explained that my voicemail box was full and thus, they could not leave a message although the suit had certainly arrived. This was incorrect on their part. I subsequently visited the store and confirmed that they had recorded the wrong phone number and email address. I then requested they take measurements for the alterations. To which I was told, "can you come back this weekend? I'm not confident in my ability to take measurements." Needless to say, this then begs the question: why would you pursue a career in this line of work then? Nevertheless, we moved forward with measurements. After another week and a half of waiting, I, again, was not informed that the alterations were completed. I decided to stop in and check on the status. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Tim who asked whether I had received a suit bag during my initial visit? I explained to him that the suit was in their possession, so no, I did not receive a suit bag . . . I then requested to try on the suit to which he replied, "sorry nope, the gate is already closed, we're closed, can't do it. We won't be making alterations either, too late." At this point in time, there were four additional customers in the back of the store continuing their shopping experience. I explained to him that the wedding was two days away and as a result of their delays, I refused to leave and come back without trying the suit on. Yet again, he declined and a colleague of his came up and informed him that it was unreasonable not to allow me the opportunity to try the suit. With the utmost look of distain, he un-bagged the suit and threw the pants to me. After an additional 3 minutes, we began to make our departure only to be met with a multitude of snarky comments from Tim, yet again -- unsatisfied that he had been confronted by his colleague due to his actions. All in all, I implore potential customers to steer clear of, not only of this establishment but, this individual. Whether you're looking to purchase a budget-grade suit or looking to hire a customer-facing team member, this is an individual with a track record that is sure to collapse your business in a matter of seconds. I love this location! I got the tuxes for my wedding from this one, and I felt like the man who started our account and fittings was very thorough. On a separate occurrence, I took in a pair of pants from a suit I had gotten from another location- that I felt had not really listened to how I wanted the hem to hit my shoe and they had them fixed for me on the spot and on my way! If I could give my rental experience zero stars, I would. I couldn't wear my suit coat because it went halfway up my arm. Absolutely ridiculous. I really do understand the concept of trying on the suit when picking it up, but I didn't have any time. Zero. I didn't expect a perfect fit, but couldn't believe how awful it looked. The manager, Katie Tjosvold, could not have cared ANY LESS. She looked at me with a blank stare and said she wouldn't do anything to rectify the situation. Very disappointed with the entire experience and would encourage anyone looking to do a rental to seriously stay away from this place. Also wanted to add: One of the other groomsman had his girlfriend bring him a new white dress shirt because his MW rental shirt was not washed. It seriously smelled like B.O. It took like 5 minutes to figure out it was his MW rental shirt. Disgusting. Go to a place that will take care of you and with a manager who cares about their customers. Sorry for the rant, I never do this, but I feel that strongly about the entire experience. read more

Tux rentals are always tricky because you never know what your groom or groomsmen will get right up until the wedding. For the most part, they got everything that was necessary. Some one had some 'high water' pants while another was 'swimming' in theirs. Nothing a good swap couldn't do. They all did not get the shoes that was requested when we made our picks. Only one of the guys got them, so they didn't totally coordinate. The service was alright. We had to go back a couple times to add a person to the roster or it was something else, and each time we went it, it was hard to get someone's help. The place was alright. I'd try going to the Wedding Shoppe on Grand in St. Paul and see how it goes there. The service there is usually nothing short than great. Truly one stop shop, so check it out. read more

We found a tie we liked and when we asked if we could order it, she reported she was not able to look it up because of the number. I was having a rough day because David's Bridal refused to measure me for a bridesmaid dress after I had bought my own wedding dress and all my own bridesmaid dresses there. Probably the most incompetent sales staff of any retail store I've been to. They are consistently rude, dishonest and just generally terrible. If you're going to mess things up, at least be nice about it. We consistently had poor customer service at this place. One month before my wedding, they called to let me know they couldn't order a suit in one of the men's size's (52 reg). Originally while making a decision on the suits I had told the sales staff I have a wide variety of guys as to which they said that would be no problem originally. To inform me of this problem the sales staff had called me and left a rude message stating that all of the men would have to re-order their suits. (3 had all ready bought and tailored the suits). When I called to speak with the sales person who set up my wedding he proceeded to tell me that the mistake was "my fault" because we never had a sit down consolation for the wedding party. (the day i set up the wedding party, they were crazy busy to the point where no wanted to help me, so when a sales staff finally got around to helping me I had already found a suit I liked. How am I supposed to know we were to have a sit consultation...no one told me?). Further more the sales person was offended that other mensweahouses were calling him to help them find the correct suit for the wedding. He told me this like it wasn't his job to help coordinate my wedding. When I asked him who was supposed to be helping coordinate, he had no answer. After speaking with a manager and coming in to re-evaluate the suits, I ended up having the guys wear different suits. We set this up in the computer system and they ended up messing up another suit (one guy got the wrong suit). They offered no sympathy to my problems and seemed to not want to help me. Honestly don't go to menswearhouse for your wedding. This was the worst experience in customer service and support I have ever seen. read more

I am not the kind of person to need to leave reviews, I usually like to give people the benefit of the doubt. But we went in with two groomsmen, the groom, and the bride. We weren't extremely satisfied with the colors or the fit of the tuxes. They didn't have any color to match bridesmaids dresses (sage green). Also, the lady helping us had no solution what so ever. She was not very confident in her solutions for us. So we ended up just picking something. The guy measuring us kept swearing under his breath as well.. Then after getting fitted for everything, we were forced into paying. We weren't really feeling too great about everything up to that point and wanted to compare with other places. We asked the store if they could hold our information without us having to pay, but apparently it wasn't possible. All of our information was on a piece of paper in front of us. So we asked if we could hold onto it, but were told we'd still need to pay. We went upstairs and checked out another place, and called this store to cancel immediately. On the phone, I was asked for reason of cancellation. Fit, color, price, customer service?! The list could go on. I wouldn't recommend getting tuxes here to anyone. I needed to revamp my work wardrobe so I headed to MW in Burnsville, near where I live. There must have been half a dozen college-aged salespeople goofing off around the cash register when I entered, and one zeroed in on me when I stepped through the door. It didn't take more than a few minutes to realize that 1) they actually carry very little big and tall stock, 2) the salesman didn't know the first thing about suits, and 3) he was not very interested in listening to what I said I was shopping for. I decided to get out of there and see if the Southdale store was any better. It was like night and day. I was greeted at the entry by a salesperson who asked my name, introduced herself, and asked a few questions about what I was shopping for. Oksana was very professional and made sure she understood what I needed. I spent a couple of hours there and walked out very happy that I had gotten exactly what I needed: three suits, a tux, two sports coats, two pairs of dress pants, six dress shirts, and a load of ties. After the experience at the Burnsville store, I wasn't very optimistic, but the Southdale store turned that around. Great service! read more
