Recently, I visited Men's Wearhouse in Enfield, Connecticut. I cannot recommend Men's Wearhouse enough. In a very difficult situation, needing a suit for my father's funeral on very short notice, the staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. I want to specifically thank Khalid, Justin, and Susan; all three were extremely helpful. They ensured I found exactly what I needed, and my suit will be ready tomorrow, well in advance of the day it was needed. I couldn't be happier with their service and support. read more

I waited at the register for 20 minutes, where there was no employee. Roz was helping another customer about 5 feet away from me and did not acknowledge that I was there or waiting. She came up to the register to check the other customer out and still didn't acknowledge that I was there. She finally asked me if I was next and treated my question like an inconvenience. ** probably this store, not necessarily Men's Wear House** Poor service, poor communication, poor quality. Target customer is teenagers .. Ordered custom suit because 'tailoring' was supposedly included. Turned into a complete 'prom suit experience' The problem is 'what actually gets tailored' it is not from the customers view but from what they think ... Re communications, 'watch out if you have 'ever' ordered something from Mens Wearhouse as according to the manager (Jeff) the 'system' will pull that contact information ... forget that I never gave them my address from 10 years ago .... Hmmmm .. I only gave them my Mass info .. they contacted me back with my Mass info ... magically the 'system' auto filled an email from 10 years ago ... and this is the 'customers' problem Spoke to manager (Jeff) about my concerns and was totally defensive of his team (ie I must have had an old account ... this is 'what the system does ... well if 'you' ever had this email/address then that is the problem'). His position was that since I had an old record 'that explains it'..'. This is the MO of the store .. they do it their way ... if you don't like it 'it is your problem. Took the suit (I already paid for it) and will get it trailered elsewhere If you are 17-20 years old this model probably works just fine (prom, bachelor party, etc). If you are an adult, spend the extra $100-$150 and get real service, quality and value elsewhere ** I suspect this is totally a 'store' issue not a Men's Wearhouse issue .. the pattern was the same ...** read more

My husband had ordered a tux rental from our local store to be picked up here in CT. We arrived on a Friday morning and the employees were all very friendly and happy to help. The suit pants didn't fit at all. I'm not shocked since the women in NC was not paying attention while taking his measurements. Luckily they were able to quickly swap the pants out and hem them in no time at all. Besides that the suit was exactly how we ordered it. Dropping off the suit the following day was seamless and friendly as well. Parking is super easy as they have a huge lot. It's not cheap, but if you need to rent a tux this is a great option. Especially if you don't live in the state where the wedding is, but there is a Men's Warehouse in both! read more

This is not an indictment of the company or the Enfield store. This is directly about the Enfield store manager, Jeff. The short story, I purchased three suits for myself, my older son, and my younger son the groom. First appointment went great, everything was mailed to my son. Second fitting went great, some minor alterations needed to be made, paid for the alterations and were told we would get an email when they were ready. My son the groom went back for the final fitting/pick up and was told they had no jacket for him and that it was not left for alterations. This couldn't be further from the truth. The manager, Jeff was confrontational with my son and it was not resolved. I reassured my son it was a mistake and would take care of it. The day I picked up my suit I addressed the issue with the manager Jeff, who became defensive saying we needed to get our stories straight. Needless to say I in turn became defensive. Jeff asked me multiple times to leave the store, without my suit, I refused. Short story longer, Jeff called 911 stating I was being verbally abusive, verbal yes, abusive no, using vulgarities, yes. The police spoke with both of us., telling me that Jeff was being confrontational with him as well and suggested I contact corporate which I agreed with. I later called the store and spoke with Ethan who we worked previously and was at the store during this. Explained who I was, telling him I understood if he could not work with me. He was more than helpful, found a jacket for my son and promised to take care of it. I'm note sure if it was the original or whether I will need to pay for another, but at least he's getting one. Shame on you manager Jeff for not working with me to find a solution and for wasting community resources by calling 911. read more

I dont even know where to start. Customer service was AWFUL! It felt like I was bothering them. No people skills at all. The salesman seemed upset that he had to help me. When I saw the price of the suit coat it was about $450.00 and the pants and tailoring made the suit well over $600.00. I told him I just needed a suit for a one time use, and it would sit in my closet after that. He could care less, and had no communication skills to the point that it was just awkward. Next point is there false advertising. You are paying twice as much for a suit and thats why you get two for the price of one. When I said I don't need two suits, he said he would sell one suit at half price. Not sure how they call that a deal when you pay twice as much for one suit and get another free? Absolutely unethical, and believe other companies like sears had to pay big fines for doing this. Even if I had to buy a suit, I would never do business with them because of their terrible customer service! read more

I can't say enough about the service at the Enfield store. My husband and I went there for our wedding and ordered tuxes for a party of nine.When they arrived the sizing was perfect, no problems at all. The color of the vests however, were not quite what I had anticipated.Jeff, the formal wear manager, moved heaven and earth to get the replacement vests and bow ties to the store closest to my destination wedding, so I had nothing to worry about. I'm not surprised at all. Every time I go in the Enfield store it is clean, well stocked, and the vibe of the the staff is pleasant and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

I've been to this location a couple of times and have had great experiences. The first time was for a tux rental for my brother's wedding and everyone was extremely helpful and provided great service. But the most recent time was two days ago. I am a groomsman for a friend's wedding in Louisiana and they are doing their rentals through a local shop in Louisiana. I needed to call in my measurements to get fitted. I didn't know where to go to get measured, so I figured I would give this place another chance. From the moment I walked in, everyone was kind and helpful. They didn't hesitate to help me and take my measurements even though it was for a rental from another place. I highly recommend anyone looking to rent/buy and formalwear to come here. May be the staff and management read the previous two negative reviews and fixed few things but my experience was a way lot better. I needed a suit for a wedding and I have no idea about style nor have a good dressing sense. I own couple of suits which I usually buy off the shelf from JC penney or Macy's and they were always so-so. I wanted a good fitting suit like a custom-fit and So I literally went in and told them to help me out in everything, from a good suit with shirt, tie, shoes and also belt. i also told them i didnt want to spend a lot of money as this was going to be a one time affair and I don't usually wear suits that often. The sales staff are a group of nicely dressed and polished men which is how a place like this should be staffed with and I can see how the other two reviewers might have got turned off by their attitude but they are very knowledgeable and straight to the point. After i turned down their initial suit choices that were around the $600 range, and told them i was looking for something around $200, they got the message and showed me a good range of suits. I found one that fitted good but still was ill fitting at few spots. That's when the Tailor came in, offered to fix them for $12 and it was all set. They helped me pick a good matching shirt with a tie and also a shoe. The whole thing after discounts came to just over $300 which i thought was a great d(st)eal. I came back the next morning to pick up the suit after the Tailor fitted it and they ironed the shirt and the suit for me, fixed my tie and I was all set to go to the wedding. The highlight of the whole thing, was when a stranger (a nice old man) approached me at the wedding and said I had the best fitted and best looking suit in the whole crowd. This has never happened to me before and I credit that entirely to my salesman there. I can't remember his name but I will update this review next time I go in to the store. Stay away from this location. I had a very similar experience to what Timothy did. They are not very friendly and make it seem like your a burden on them. I've had a bad experience with the tailors as well being extremely rude. The staff are always standing by when the tailor is there because he cant speak that good of english and will get offended if you don't understand what he is saying or ask a question to why he is doing something. Its pretty sad the manager doesn't have a better handle on the situation over there. Stick to the Holyoke location its much better. read more
