Flowers were also well represented with overflowing flowerpots and baskets bursting with color in every direction. They feature two big signs that will catch your attention. One says, "Thanks to All Vets" and another says, "If You Can't Stop, Smile as you Go By". We were on a mission to pick up some cornstalks to decorate the light pole on the front lawn, and we did take home a nice bundle of stalks for $10. It was brimming with humongous ears of corn, which we detached and tossed into the woods, so as to discourage the bears from loitering by our front door. We got to write original songs, perform in local events, and get the experience of being in a band while still in highschool. I was able to build relationships with musicians that helped me later when working with other bands and artists. I am now 25, and while that was 7 years ago, it was an important part of my journey as a musician. I would definitely go back and do it all again if I could. It was fun knowing that after school I could go be in rock band with friends in a safe environment and have access to professional gear and have the support of professional musicians to help us along the way. I have since graduated from Berklee and am now working in the audio industry in Cambridge Massachusetts.
