My second time at a men's warehouse. The first was a stellar customer experience in Stockton, and for me the high level of standard may have set unreasonable expectations. Unfortunately, one person can change your perception, manager, Angelo. Walking into the store I was greeted by Romel, who was very polite, greeted me, professionally. Things were off to a great start! The reason for the visit was due to a purchase of a suit jacket over 400 miles away. It was one item of over $700 worth of clothes purchased. At that location, they had press the jacket and put it in a garment bag, it had never been used part of men's warehouse, Incredible, customer service, experience. In the move, the receipt could not be found but was available within men's warehouse account and was confirmed prior to arriving. After making a phone call. I was told an exception could be made for store credit if it is only the one item. So I begin looking for items in the store, and was planning to even buy additional items. It was in that moment a person walked up with the jacket and said "when you were done there, I have a situation to explain." I said sure. Is everything OK? Angelo said "well. This jacket doesn't have the tags." my response was yes. I had realized that when I opened the garment bag and explained they had been taken off when it was pressed by the other Men's Wearhouse. I am not sure what was done with the tags, but the jacket is unused and has never left the garment bag. He opened the bag and said the jacket tail flaps are open. Again I explained it's not their fault they were trying to help. I also once again said it was unused and within the return window. Angelo's response was, you'll have to call customer service. I was a bit throwing off, because first of all 1) Angelo did not introduce himself, I did not know his name or his position. 2) As a manager. My thoughts are you deal with situations and not pass them on, and especially did not even offer the number to customer service. 3) The approach taken was that you do not have the tags, and they should not have done that yet. What was the resolution to the issue? Why is that my fault or someone else's for showing a high level of customer service to begin with? 4) I explained that I was already here and had called prior and his response was well. They are not a manager. My thoughts were. The person had actually asked a manager. Someone showing excellent customer service should not be looked down upon for their efforts. Angelo made no effort. Still, I had not received a number a real resolution or even a name. I mentioned I would make an accurate review of these events and here it is. The positive experience with the Men's Wearhouse and those representing the brand and the less than stellar experience from a leader. read more

They were always close by if I needed help while browsed, otherwise they allowed me to browse at my leisure. No pressure and freedom to see/try on what they had to offer. Would recommend this location over the one in Burbank just based on employees as the Burbank location seems to have just a bit more clothing wise. read more

Came in for my wedding to set up one of those group rental things for my groomsmen where I establish a suit type and then groomsmen can go to whichever Men's Wearhouse they wish to fulfill it. Was first told by a young associate there that even though this was a service that Men's Wearhouse offered, they discouraged me from doing it, and recommended that I just take pictures of what to wear to my groomsmen instead, which seemed kind of silly for a major retailer to ask. I'm pretty sure the associate there didn't want to do the work of setting one of those up and probably doesn't get any commission from it. Then finally a second young associate actually helped set up the groomsmen thing for me. But he had such a drab, unenthused attitude and look on his face that I had no idea if he was doing it properly or not. I think t was his first time doing it. I have no idea why this kid was working in sales if he had that bleak of a demeanor. Unfortunately, if you're looking for the experience of a knowledgable, friendly sales associate guiding you through a complicated, intimidating suit-rental process, you won't find it here, it'll just be more late teens/early 20 somethings who don't really want to be there. I am not one for reviews but I was floored by the customer service we received from Angelo. We were shopping for a suit for my boyfriend to wear to a friend's upcoming wedding. Angelo made sure my boyfriend was comfortable throughout the entire experience and offered a wealth of knowledge since it was my boyfriend's first suit. Rather than pushing a sale, he made sure my boyfriend was comfortable and the suit of his choice met his needs. He provided realistic insight, which was very refreshing and much appreciated. When we walked out, my boyfriend mentioned he wished he could take Angelo out as a personal shopper and get more wardrobe opinions because that's how comfortable he made him feel. I was disappointed by the level of service I received at the store. When my wife and I first walked in, we were greeted fine enough. The first of the two employees asked what I needed help with and I let him know I was looking for a new sport coat. He pointed to the sport coats over by the door and a couple of sport coats near where he was seated. He then stayed at the table he had been sitting at when we first walked in. He did not offer any assistance as far as selecting out a coat or asking for my size. I then let him know I needed a tie and a matching handkerchief, so he pointed to where the ties were and told me to help myself. Which I ended up doing since both employees ignored us after that. I even had to flag down his coworker after we had selected a tie, on our own, just so we could pay. At this point, a self-serve kiosk to pay would've been more appropriate. I don't expect someone to follow me around the store when I show up waiting on hand and foot, but I do expect a bit of input from an employee if I'm looking for a coat or any other accessory for a suit. If this is the new level of service to expect at Men's Wearhouse, just let me know and next time I won't be as disappointed as I was during this last visit. The mall is right next door, and I will probably look there from now on if I need a suit or any other accessory. Never going back again. Last year my Son had an event and rented suit from that place. They messed up the whole order it was big and the shoes instead of black was brown anyway I call them and complain because he never wore that suit they told me that they are going to give him $ 200 credit for next time. Fast forward to today he went there to get some clothing and guess what they denied that he had a credit there. Seriously if I was with him I would have asked someone to explain, but he bought the clothes and came home. I had purchased several suits from this place and every time I do I am told by the Sales Associate that "We guarantee if we have altered a seam once, you will never have to pay to have it altered again." That message appears on the website as well. Service has always been timely and the folks have been courteous up until this point. I have purchased my first interviewing suit here back in the late 00s and even my wedding suit and 5 groomsmen suits a few years back. I brought in a suit over the weekend to have steamed as well as adjusted for my grandmother's funeral happening this Friday. I know it's last minute but if they can't do it I was going to take it to my local dry cleaning guy for a rush job. The woman behind the register told me that they require the suits to be dry cleaned ahead time with a receipt of the dry cleaning brought in. No problem, I understand that policy. She then told me it would be roughly $40 for a rush job. Again, totally understand, I figured it was worth a shot. Finally she told me it would take two weeks. Okay, I tried and I said thank you and began heading out the door. As I headed towards the door the woman shouted "We are not a tailor by the way". I'm sorry? Then why put such a statement on your website about alterations? There were other customers at the store who then looked over at my way and I felt embarrassed and angry but I left to see if I could catch my local lady who said she could have it ready mid week at half the price. Up until this point I was a big fan of the convenience of the Mens Wearhouse. But if I'm just going to get insulted when I go I would rather go somewhere else. read more

I had a fantastic experience here. I am in my friend's wedding and she wants us to wear men's suits. I have never tried to wear men's suits before, so I didn't even know where to start. There was one particular employee who was super kind and helpful. He helped to take my measurements and try on a few items to get the right fit. You would think that as a woman, I would feel super self conscious about this experience. But he was very open and welcoming to me. It took about 30 minutes to put my outfit together and for the tailor to get measurements. They were patient with me, I did not feel rushed. Their customer service was superb. I recommend Tellis for any of your purchasing inquiries. I purchased and had the tuxedo tailored a week before my wedding day. I was cutting it close on time, but they were able to get the job done. The worst experience with this place. I wouldn't come here again. I was buying a suit for my 16 year old son. The sales person was pleasant and sounded knowledgeable. But I found out later that my son's friend who got the same suit received over $60 discount! How does this work? Apparently, discounts are very selective at this store, not applied to everyone. We were told there were no discounts available. TIP: you have to pretend it's too expensive and try to leave the store to get the discount. The most important issue was with alterations. My son needed alterations and I thought on-site tailor would be the best option. Tailor came out to do the measurement himself. To my dismay, when I tried to pick up the alteration, the job was substandard!!! The seams puckered at the sleeve and the back of the coat. The stitches on the pants were obvious and visible! When I complained, the manager, Jonathan, initially claimed that the puckering was normal!! They offered to fix it only after I demanded a refund. 5 days later, when I went to pick up the suit, the sleeves were slightly better, but still puckered despite their attempt to press it better. Good thing I brought my son to try on the suit this time. The collar on the coat was suppose to be taken down, but didn't look like it was. They offered once again to fix the problem, At this point, I'm worried. The job was not done professionally and completely the first time, nor the second! Honestly, the alterations ruined the suit. I wish I can get a refund completely, buy a new suit. and get altered from my own tailor. With all the inconvenience and heartache this process has caused, I asked for some compensation, but nope! None. The extended time it's taking for multiple alterations and inconvenience of driving to the store unnecessarily, multiple times should be compensated in my opinion. I spent over $500, but getting a patched up and butchered suit. It also upsets me that my son's friend got a discount on the same suit, same day, a few hours later! I feel like I was taken advantage and scammed for being a good customer at the time of sale. If you are considering purchasing a suit here anyways, try to get the discount. And don't get alterations through them!! They don't have professorial tailors in-house. read more

The gentlemen who helped me were kind, however if you need any help I suggest you go in person and handle it in store. I went through a wedding party registration, and went in to be fitted to make sure everything would be accurate. Upon pick up (day before my flight across the country) -- the pants were hemmed too short. They said they would fix it and call me within a few hours before closing. Never got a call, had to call an hour before closing, and spent more than half that hour on hold. They lost my pants, and forgot about them. Luckily found them after a long, dull wait. He did apologize, but it was quite a stressful experience. Funny thing is, when I went into the store, it was the same employee who helped me out earlier that day. He frankly stated he didn't remember me, and that " whoever helped me tried to call me"... it was strange. read more

First and foremost, if you are even considering a rental stay away from this place go to Friar Tux in Glendale. Everything about my experience with Men's Wearhouse was a nightmare. We originally went to Men's Wearhouse for my bridal party. Our groomsmen went in for measurements 2 1/2 -3 months prior to my wedding day, yet The staff at Men's Wearhouse seemed to drop the ball and Lie repeatedly about placing our order. Long story short our tuxedos NEVER arrived. They NEVER even placed the order to begin with. I must've called at least five times prior to my wedding day confirming the order and asking if there was anything I needed to do. They proceeded to assure me that everything was fine the order was placed and the tuxedos should have been arriving within the next few days. My husband and I kept calling daily to check on the status and they just kept lying every single time. Their customer service was terrible. Literally ONE day before my wedding they told us that the order was never placed because there was missing information. The last thing a bride or a groom should be stressing about is what their 6 groomsmen are going to wear a day before the wedding!!!! Especially when everything was taken care of ahead of time and we kept communicating with them but they kept lying. Let's not even talk about the measurements! all of the suits that were received for my family who also went to get rentals were extremely big. Quality was cheap. I can go on and on. Management really needs to step it up because it seems like no one knows what the heck is going on at that location. I'm extremely disappointed , and extremely dissatisfied. read more

Everything fit perfectly, the shirts especially fit nicely, the shoes I got along with the suit were also on sale (at half price, about $100, but CLASSY!) and were actually more comfortable than my sneakers are. They even found me nice socks, helped with a couple ties (two for one) and at the wedding in Manila, I looked FABULOUS! Took my son there to get fitted for my sister's wedding, he was the ring boy. The day of the wedding I come to find out that the pants were completely the wrong size ( too short , too wide ) which was an embarrassment ! The event was Saturday, when coming to return everything first thing Monday morning, I was given a half ass hi and attitude, I was told there is a $20 late fee but the manager will most probably reverse it, then comes the manager Ellis or whatever his name was, he doesn't even look my way or say hi with a terrible attitude. He brought up the late fee then I asked if he's able to reverse it and I was shot down with a cold no lol and at this point I'm on fire. Then he said ok fine for the fee reversal which I refused and made it aware to him that $20 doesn't mean crap to me. On top of that I donated $5 to the veterans so hopefully something good comes out of this mess. Some advice to the young gentlemen who work there you're better off selling oranges on the corner then to put yourself in the horrible environment that's only gonna keep you down. With all this said I take full responsibility of course for procrastinating and ending up going there and trusting everything would be fine without checking. I was just in there this afternoon and picked up two jackets at the Glendale Brand location. MW has good quality suits which is why I shop there. The service I would say is a little less desirable and they are probably overpaying some of their employees who seem to be just standing around chatting up a storm amongst themselves., I was in there today. There were 5 employees and 2 customers in the store, me be ing one of them. I am browsing the suit jackets and I expected one of the 3 consultants standing around me to ask if I needed assistance. These consultants were literally standing behind me chatting away (amongst themselves) as I looked in their direction. Finally the assistant manager was helpful asked me if I needed help. He was able to help me pick out two jackets that I bought. I am a regular customer there. I will probably just check out another location next time. read more

We came on a Saturday to shop for a tux rental for my son's first prom. We were attended to by 3 different sales people and I felt like I knew more about tuxes than they did. I am sure they lose a lot of customers that way. Finally Michael saw we needed help and stepped up. He said he has been in the men's clothing business for 30 years and he KNOWS. He knows how to select styles that compliment your age and body type, he knows how a good suit/tux fits, he knows what you need and he helps get you the price that you need to get the job done. No pressure, lots of great advice. Great experience. UPDATE - the tux looked amazing from neck to toe. Great prices and great suit. My son looked like a million bucks. Typically like Men's Wearhouse, but the incompetence of the personnel here on my latest visit was noteworthy and unacceptable. Go to another shop. I ordered 3 colors of the same suit. I come to pick them up and only 1 suit is the one I ordered. The other 2 are way too big and a different model suit. The guy, Felipe, tells me the suit I want doesn't come in the other 2 colors I wanted. Shouldn't you have told me that when I made my purchase? Then he tells me they can just tailor the 2 suits down to my size. He doesn't offer to do it for free mind you. So I would have to end up paying more for his mistake. Incompetence, and on top of that illogical and absurdist behavior, make me want to avoid this place. And you should too. read more

I need a suit for my daughter's wedding and bought the jacket at the Pasadena branch (they are good by the way) but they didn't have the pants in my size. They helpfully called and Glendale had the blue linen pants in my size. My wife drove over to pick them up (1st trip there). Checked the tag (size was right), bought the pants and brought them home. I tried on the pants and they were too small. They transposed the #'s on the exterior tag from what the interior tag said. Mistake #1. I took pants back the next day (2nd trip there) and they didn't have my size there either. They ordered them for me and assured they would be at my house in 5 business days. Mistake #2- they never came. I called 5 times after the 6th business day. Mistake #3 - they never picked up the phone...all day. I called Pasadena (again very helpful) and they got a Glendale manager (Tellis) to call me back. Mistake #4- He was short on patience, had zero empathy and spoke over me. He said they had another pair that was the right waist size but was two inches long and would alter the pants for free as the wedding was now 4 days away. That was good BUT I asked "are you sure they are the right size" and he turned rude again and said they were. I show up yesterday (3rd trip there- 4th trip to Men's Wearhouse) and Tellis is in, says the employee in the front, but won't come up to the front to see me. Mistake # 5- The pants they have are white, not blue. So my suit wasn't going to match. The Father of the Bride wasn't happy, got a refund and is now SOL and letting people know to stay away from this branch and Tellis! read more

Worst Men's Wearhouse I've ever been to. The issue wasn't that all associates were busy, it was that I and my husband were dismissed and actively ignored while waiting patiently to be helped. For the first 30 minutes we waited patiently and looked around then stood in the general area waiting to be finished while others lined up near us. An associate passed right in front of me as if I was a part of the decor, and told the men across from us that he would be with them in a moment , while the gentleman told him I was next. Same associate came back and said he could help them and the same gentlemen politely said we were next. Clearly annoyed he started helping us. He explained the layout and pricing and then set us up with colors by the mirrors . After that , we never saw him after or got an acknowledgement except for the cashier who happened to be in the area. After close to 1 hour there we got up and left after seeing we weren't going to be entertained. I really had to try and convince my fiancé to go to men's warehouse. she did not want to go to there. however it is easier then trying to get the groomsmen all together to go downtown and buy one . we walked in on memorial day around 4pm - we asked if we could see the difference between the slim fit and extreme slim he said no. he brought us over to a counter with some 80s suit chart that had some of their available suits. there were all these unwrapped shirts all over the chart so we couldn't even see them and he just kept moving the shirts around. it was so weird. the place was also so chaotic. i told him i wanted to do it online but i didn't see brown shoes as an option. we asked about suspenders options, and he said "um, i think we only have black". but basically he wasn't helpful, didn't care at all, no personality, no assistance, and you can't even see the colors. they should really have samples of the suits you're going to try and rent to people. i get most people don't care as much about your wedding as you do, but at least pretend if you work at a place that rents suits for weddings. do better men's warehouse. hire better . read more
