I've been a frequent customer of Swiss Cleaners and have used them many times for dry cleaning and alterations, so this experience was extremely disappointing. I recently brought in an outfit to be altered for the holiday weekend. When I picked it up, I noticed an issue with the alteration. The person at the front initially said they would steam it to remove the wrinkle, then came back and said it actually needed to be sewn. I agreed and returned the next day to pick it up. When I picked it up, I wanted to try the outfit on, which is standard when alterations are done, but the tailor insisted it was altered exactly how I wanted it and discouraged me from trying it on there. The outfit remained in the plastic until I later opened it, and I immediately noticed a stain in the same area where the additional alteration had been done. I took a photo and went back to address it after the holiday. Instead of taking any responsibility or even trying to resolve the issue, I was accused of lying. There was no accountability, no apology, no offer of a credit or compensation, and the interaction was rude and dismissive. As someone who has supported this neighborhood business many times, I found it shocking that they would rather lose a repeat customer than offer a simple resolution. Our go-to dry cleaners! They're friendly, professional, timely and we've never had an issue with any of the garments which we've dropped off. A little pricey but, franky, I would rather pay a bit more and know that my clothes are being returned in good shape. Took my wedding dress here for cleaning and packing after multiple recommendations. I have to say amazing service! They took out really horrible stains from my white satin (huge and heavy) gown and restored it to pristine condition. I was in shock! Mother in law dropped off some old drapes for clearing and they didn't think to advise her that it would cost $300!!!!!!!!! when one panel of drapes cost $300 to dry clean, out of courtesy, YOU LET GRANDMA KNOW! you don't just assume that the customer knows how much its going to cost. its not $20 or $50 or even $100, its $300!!! and when I ask why a price was not given out of courtesy since it so expensive for 1 single panel, his response was "for some people $20 is expensive and to others, $5000 is chump change". REALLY? nice rip off strategy. Shame on you! read more

I go to this place and get my Levies and certain T-shirts (yes T-shirts) dry cleaned. It's tucked away in a tiny little shopping strip with 5 other businesses. When I go in I usually deal with the owner Raffi who is really helpful. My shirts and pants come back better then when they were new. Always on time and quality cleaning service. Never had an issue. I have nothing but glowing reviews for the service that they have done in the past 4+ years that we've been working together. Raffi and his brother Alex are extremely competent, intelligent, and particular. A few other reviews that say that Swiss is pricey, which I completely disagree with- especially for what are getting from them. I took in a set of shirts for my husband and one for myself. My shirt was the exact same brand and type of shirt as one of my husbands. They charged me three times the price. When I tried to explain to them this was a violation of CA law (California Civil Code Section 51.6), they tried to tell me it wasn't. (I'm a lawyer). Then they tried to shine me on about how the shirt had to be specially handled, etc., so they can charge more. Really? The same exact shirt as my husbands, just in a different color? Note: I am not a really small woman or a very large one. In fact, I am the same size as a smaller size man, so this can't be the reason. The only logical reason why I was charged more was that I am a woman. They've lost my business and that of anyone I had previously recommended to go to this place. read more

Swiss cleaner's have never disappointed me with their high quality of work and their attention to detail. I have trusted them over the years and they never disappoint. I am used to downtown prices, but this was significantly beyond anything I've ever paid to have a few pieces of clothing dry-cleaned and a few pants hemmed. There were a few smudges and spots on my pants, and the pants still had them even after the dry-cleaning. If the focus of the store is high price with high customer service, I didn't really see the value and service for the price I paid. read more

These guys are phenomenal! Not only are they are great at getting out spots that I'm despairing over, but they are excellent with alterations, even fairly complicated tailoring needs. I've been going here several years and they've never disappointed me. Recently I had to get my favorite Armani jacket cleaned while I was out of town and the other dry cleaners messed up the sleeves by stretching out the fabric so that it was loose and puckered. They knew just what to do at Swiss Cleaners. Got the jacket back today and the problem is solved. The guys are always really sweet too. read more

The quality here is a little below average while their prices are above average. It's a bad deal for customers. Also, I brought a very high-end custom-made suit in. It's worth a few thousand bucks. When I picked it up they charged me for cleaning and pressing as expected. They had done absolutely nothing to the suit. It hadn't been cleaned, not even pressed. It looked and smelled EXACTLY the way it was when I dropped it off. I assume they were afraid of screwing up a suit that was valuable enough to warrant a law suit. They could've been straight with me but chose to attempt a deception instead. I don't like that. I also didn't like hearing one of the owners screaming (not yelling) abusively at an employee. For simple alterations I recommend Golden Cleaners on San Fernando Road. read more

This place is expensive for dry cleaning shirts but I have no complaints about how my shirts come out. The launder-and-press price for shirts is reasonable and, as with my dry-cleaned shirts, I have no complaints about the quality. I go here because it's the closest to where I live. I'm looking into trying other cleaners in the area. In my experience, there is nothing that has stood out in a positive way among dry cleaners. I only remember the bad experiences I've had. This place gets the job done, albeit at a high price (but for now the convenience justifies the cost for me). read more

I've been going to this place for the past 10 years; mostly for alterations and some dry cleaning. A few months ago, I dropped off a pair of pants belonging to my new suit for a simple alteration. I ended up forgetting to pick up my pants until 3 months later - clearly my fault; however, most cleaners call their customers if an item sits around too long. When I returned to the store, I was told that they can't find my pants but they would look for it and let me know. Five weeks went by and didn't get a call, so I made a trip back to the cleaners to follow up on the issue and was told that they were unable to find my pants but they would continue looking - not sure where else they would look after five weeks. Three more weeks went by and once again, I didn't get a call; they have no common courtesy of calling the customer back with an update. When I returned to the store for the third time, I was told that they weren't able to find my pants, so I was out of luck. To top it off, the owner, Raffie tells me that it's my fault for not picking up the pants in time. Go figure; they lose my pants and it's somehow my fault - talk about not taking accountability for your mistakes, not even an apology. read more

Horrible customer service !! Drop of some clothing asked to repair it'. The repair person wasn't available so they said they will call me back with the pricing!! I specifically asked not to do anything unless I speak to them ". They even wrote it on the receipt! They never called me back and went ahead and did the repair . when I decided to call to know the price it was outrageous$$$$ Very rude the person who does alterations name Raffi, has no manners and does not know how to speak to costumers. Raised his voice at me over the phone and was mad at me because I haven't picked up the clothing. Well if he wouldn't of raised his prize's more then what the clothing cost me!! then I would of pick it up sooner..... He wouldn't even let me speak!!
