I am a regular at the Nordstrom and the staff here is my favorite. The customer service here is 11/10. The staff in the beauty section and in women's section on the second floor are the best. I was shopping for shoes with my fiancé and I appreciated that nobody was too pushy. Grace in men's shoes did offer to help after letting us browse, and she was very friendly. She was also very helpful in checking different sizes for us, also bringing out two different options for my fiancé to try. He ended up picking the extra size she brought out, so it was a good thing she provided both. She checked us out for that pair and ordered another for us to pick up at a different store. I just like shopping! This location has a nice range of beauty and perfume options. They don't have much in the way of branded jewelry or high end shoes - Stuart Weitzman is the top of the options. Upstairs in women's they carry Frame, L'Agence, Cinq a Sept, Mother and Paige, but for things like St John's, David Yurman, etc. I order online. Same with leather goods and bags - there are some Tory Burch options, but no Burberry or YSL. The employees have been very friendly and helpful, typically. It's not my favorite Nordstrom, nor the nicest, but it's always nice to do some shopping! read more

I went to this little area to purchase a jellycat. I am a nurse and had just got off a long shift , I had a HORRIBLE experience with Wilma ! She told me I needed to pay immediately even though I was shopping to gift the children in the ward I work with jellycats. She stood over me and I told her I was still shopping and she did not stop standing over me or my coworkers I went with monitoring us. Maybe it's because I am Mexican with dark skin because no one who was lighter than I was was monitored or watched over by any associate . I told her I was ready to pay because she genuinely didn't leave me alone so I just paid for one jelly cat instead of shopping like I wanted to . Genuinely horrible experience . That red-haired lady had an attitude like she was doing me a favor just by standing there. And then she tried to sell me a tester. My friend and I started the day at Nordstrom Arcadia, hunting for her wedding scent for next month. The sales associate there? Absolute gem--kind, patient, and honest. Then we came here, and it was like customer service just... clocked out. After my friend found her perfume, I went to grab a hair mist since I had run out. They pointed me to Byredo and Diptyque. Cool. Except when I got to Byredo, the salesgirl was too busy chit-chatting to even acknowledge me or pretend to work. She gave me a quick once-over and went right back to her conversation. I started sniffing the regular perfumes first, then moved on to the hair mists. Eventually, she dragged herself over and, instead of helping, just said, "You could just smell those" (pointing to the perfumes, as if I was doing it wrong). I just smiled and said, "Thanks, I'll take this one." She snatched the only bottle off the shelf--a tester--and handed it to another employee like she was passing off a burden. I pointed it out. She denied it. I flipped the bottle over. Boom. "TESTER" right there in bold letters. The other lady, now holding the oops-it's-a-tester bottle, immediately rushed me over to Diptyque where I picked a scent and bought it just to be done with the whole thing. I get it--bad days happen. But was I personally responsible for yours? I gave three stars instead of just one because, at the end of the day, my friend found her perfect wedding scent, and that was the main goal. Plus, I still walked away with a hair mist I liked, even if I had to navigate some unnecessary attitude to get there. The experience wasn't a total disaster--just needlessly unpleasant. -------- I appreciate the response. I understand that March can be a busy time, but great customer service shouldn't depend on the season. I also understand that different locations may have different levels of traffic, but good service isn't about how busy a store is--it's about how customers are treated. The experience at Nordstrom Arcadia showed me what great service looks like, even during the same 'busy time,' so the contrast here was disappointing. Men's department has HORRIBLE customer service. Went there last Thursday 9/25 to try and get a couple of suit shirts from Black Tux for an upcoming wedding. The guy working ignored us for over 10min.. we were literally standing there without any acknowledgment despite being in eyesight. When I got fed up of waiting and asked about getting assistance, he explained that Black Tux was an independent shop and their shop person was gone for the day and that he could not help. This information was irritating enough however rather than try and sell us some other shirts or offer any service he very matter of factly said "I cannot help you" and went about continuing to assist another client. I've worked retail and more so been in customer service for years - you NEVER tell anyone this. Nordstrom Managers, your staff should do better given this is a "luxury" department store. read more

Went in with my husband to grab a birthday gift and loved Jo Malone perfume long story short waited about 10min in the counter nobody was showing up to help we literally had to look for someone to help. After that someone came and sent us someone from makeup section with long black hair, eye contacts full makeup, and was very rude her tone was just off she looked in a hurry and bothered to help out. We told her what we wanted i said the perfume that just came out so she took it to the register i asked if it would come in a box nicely wrapped she looked at me like what the hell and said "well this is how it comes i cant do nothing" so i told my husband no so just a perfume inside a regular shopping bag i had gave up already, after that my husband looked for someone else and this very sweet lady with glasses came and wrapped it in a box and a velvet bow just nicely done. read more

As Nordstrom as any other though not as impressionable as the Grove, Westfield Topanga, or even Nordstrom Rack... Maybe it's because it feels smaller in scale, especially the men's department or not as highlighted as a top store of the Americana as it is at its counterpart (via the Grove LA). The service is there and the subsidiaries of Nordstrom like the Ebar cafe and Bar Verde are solid for sure, definitely recommend for department store enthusiast as it's the crème de la crème!! Nordstrom via Glendale's Americana is located on the opposite side of the parking structure for the Americana at Brand down Caruso Avenue, before Urban Outfitters and AMC, but along the same path. They do validate parking much like select places, including the former Pacific now AMC. It's rarely crowded in here and you can usually get in and out fairly smoothly depending on your shopping goals. read more

Loren Martinez Loren Martinez Loren Martinez Is so condescending! I ordered a Burberry shirt for picture day. I took it out of the bag and hung it up. Picture day comes and I pull the tag off then go to iron it (he's gotta look sharp). As I ironed it I noticed a couple of spots. Hardly visible to the naked eye, so he puts it on. I take them outside to get a picture with natural lighting, then I noticed that the spot shows up in the pictures. It's right by the label so it's easy to see. We rush and put on last years Burberry shirt and head out. I come home and immediately call the store, I spoke to someone (I forgot her name), but she kindly tells me to bring the shirt back as soon as possible. I took it in today and the first clerk was nice, but then had to call the demon over Loren Martinez. She basically starts by saying, I can't do anything about it. "Your showing me a picture that your son wore it." "We have a strict policy with name brands" "Your son wore it". "There nothing I can do" "That language won't be tolerated " (I might've cussed by that point). Then she goes to the computer and says this shirt has never been returned. Oh I'm sorry did your f**k*n computer tell you that it's never been returned? THEN HOW THE F**K did I get a shirt with stains on it? Just a couple of things to wrap this up: 1. Never take the tags off brand name items because apparently you can wear it, stain it, then take it back. Per Loren Martinez 2. Nordstrom - PLEASE update your customer service reps that you will not take anything back once the tags are removed. 3. Loren Martinez don't call security because someone drops an F bomb. Oh did I forget to tell you that part? Yeah Loren Martinez called security on me and Emilio started watching me around the store. Came here just to leave a review for Cruz at Lancome!! She is amazing, straightforward, and fixed all my makeup problems. I can tell she's extremely knowledgeable in her craft, and she was so sweet while she was helping me. I told her I was looking for both a concealer and foundation, but she was honest and told me that only the concealer would be all that I need (I had some specific concerns and told her which products were currently in my rotation). She even took the foundation that I currently used and showed me how to improve my routine with the new concealer. Amazing service! read more

Moral of the story don't get gift cards from Nordstrom. I went to the Americana location to use the gift card that I got from the same location a week prior and the balance was $0. Customer service got my information and I was told that a manager will call me the following Monday in order to resolve this issue. I never received a call, so instead I called and emailed myself and the manager didn't pick up the phone nor replied back to my email. I called customer service again and was transferred about 4 different times to a new department and representative. The final person I spoke to stated that the gift card was used and I would need to file a police report in order to receive the money back. So basically I got scammed by Nordstrom and they don't want to take any accountability. Keep in mind I didn't even scratch the card number on the back of the gift card until I went to purchase something from the store. I wasn't even the one who scratched it off, the worker did at the register. I even had the receipt of purchase but apparently that's not enough. This whole matter is a significant inconvenience and something that was out of my control.  Waste of money and waste of time. read more

I was in Nordstrom's yesterday near the Makeup area, looking for an eyebrow pencil as Sephora was completely insane. I've been inside plenty of times and and have bought a fist full of items here before. As I grab the eyebrow pencil and then on my way to look for supergroup sunscreen, the women working at that Anastasia counter, was doing someone's eyebrows at the time and wouldn't let me walk around with my item to go see the sunscreen. I asked her if I this was necessary and if I would be able to hold onto my item, I want to go look at the sunscreen or if this is protocol and she didn't answer my question and proceeded to call a gentleman over and said he'll hold onto it for you. The women's name was Karina R The way she treated me wasn't friendly, didn't make me feel welcome, and was unwarnted. If you're trying to make a sale that's not a way to do it or is it deserved. I ask Nicholas at the register, if we're not able to walk around with products and he said no you're. I sincerely hope this issue is dealt with so future buyers don't feel the same way. read more

I signed up for the Cartier master class a month ago and missed it due to my baby getting sick. He's all better now to I came in to pick up my presale items. Ms. Alondra walked me over to Rick who knew exactly what I was talking about, the two of them walked me arm in arm to retrieve it. All the while being super sweet and made me feel like such a posh celebrity.
