Was under a time crunch but was guaranteed to have the suit on a Thursday by 7pm. called around 5 and was told not to worry it would be complete by 7pm and they would contact me in a not so nice tone. I finally received an email at 8:47 it was ready meaning no time to get there before they closed at 9pm. When I got there on Friday they couldn't find the suit because it had been mislabeled. when I finally received it, it was so wrinkly it looked like it had been balled up. I asked if there was any recourse since they missed there guaranteed time for completion and was told no so why even have it? went to Mens Warehouse for the quick turn around and hopefulLu good customer service. I was intending to buy more suits and accessories there but I think my money would beat best be spent elsewher. Not a good job Layton store get your commission and the. My husband and I went to the Layton MW looking for a winter coat for him. Emma came to help us immediately. There were several very nice coats, but my husband is not easy to fit. The one he liked they did not have both the XL and XXL size for him to compare. Emma saw the Murray store had the larger size and printed out a slip with style# as we mentioned we might go there to try on. We did go to Murray store where we were basically left on our own to dig out sizes and styles while 2 employees stood around chatting and another sat at their desk after initially greeting us and walking away. We were only approached 20 min later and asked if we found the coat we wanted. We actually had, but decided to go back to the Layton store and purchase from them because of the fabulous service at their store. Upon going back, both their manager and Bill remembered us. All of their employees are so helpful and friendly we went back for Black Friday to by my son some great jeans!! read more

Men's warehouse is a rip-off. Rented a suit for my 15 year old son. I didn't want to buy one since he's still growing. However, it cost the same amount to rent as it does to buy. Then, due to life happening I returned the suit two days late. They charge a $20 a day late fee. All said and done unpaid $370 for a suit that my son wore for one day. Not worth the money. Go somewhere else to rent or just purchase one that you can see when your child outgrows it. read more

Highly dissatisfied with Men's Wearhouse. Rented a tuxedo for my wedding there, and in the beginning we had high hopes. They were very helpful in assisting us to pick out what we wanted, but after that it all went downhill. The tux rental came in a week late, TWO DAYS before the wedding. So it was crunch time already. The suit coat was too small and the pants far too big. We were told "they just come that way when you get in to the big sizes. Bigger waist means baggy pants." What the what?? We were passed from employee to employee and having to explain the situation over and over. Eventually we got the manager who found us pants in another color, that fit well. He said he would order them in the correct color and they would be in the next day. Thank goodness!! Came in the next day... no one had any idea where anything of ours was!!! Less that 24 hours away from the wedding!!! Seriously!?! If you're looking for reliable service and a well fitting tux/suit. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

I have always thought the MW stores are great with customer service but location and person matter. While I will probably still patron MW elsewhere, I will not for the Layton store. There are good ways to answer concerns even if it isn't good news. This also represents the first bad review of anything from me. It took a lot to get me this worked up and even called the national customer service line. The representative on the line was great however at least allowing me to talk through it. read more

When my husband, and I first got engaged without a definite plan I walked into Men's Wearhouse and met the manager of the Layton, Utah store: David Olson. I must have drowned him with details of what I envisioned my wedding day to be. Although it was evident that David Olsen took the time to listen to every specific detail. On my wedding day, I found myself thanking David Olson throughout the entire day. My groom looked so incredibly handsome in his custom fitted suit. Although my favorite part of my picture-perfect day; was my dog's matching custom fitted vest. That moment I stepped in front of the aisle, I saw what a beautiful family I've started; it simply took my breath away! David Olson must have thought I was crazy when, I first mentioned the vest for my 90 lbs. Pitbull. It was a first in the books at Men's Wearhouse, and I know that alterations were a huge challenge. Although I was so happy that David Olson was willing to go the extra mile for my wedding day. I just wanted to express my gratitude, and recognize his efforts, because he truly did go above, and beyond for me. I worked with David Olson more than anyone throughout the planning process of my wedding. He helped me to choose color schemes and helped me to create my theme; together we dressed: My Groom, Our dog, Our Groomsmen, Grandfathers, and Siblings. Every detail was perfect, even the shoes were the same color as my dog, it was beautiful. The service I received from Men's Wearhouse was exceptional, I will recommend Men's Wearhouse to all my friends and Family! David Olson, I truly value the friendship that we have created. My husband needed some new church clothes. He hadn't had a new suit in 20 years and I had never purchased men's clothing before. We didn't know what the heck we were doing. We stopped in at the MW in Layton and a girl helped us. She seemed nice and quickly explained the deals that were going on. We decided to get my husband an off-the-rack suit and a custom-made suit for under $700. As we were chatting the sales girl mentioned a $12 fee for putting a crease in the trousers. This seemed weird to me but what do I know? My husband said to go with it. Since we were getting two suits, that was going to be $24. I specifically asked if there were any other "hidden fees" and she said, "No." LIES. LIES. LIES. At checkout 30 minutes later and $1200 in, (we added a number of other items to our tab) I noticed on the sales receipt there were the following: $15 for a "shirt gripper" $15 for a "shirt gripper" $10 for "plain pant bottom" $10 for "plain pant bottom" That's $50 in fees that I wasn't told about and didn't agree to. She just added costs without asking me or my husband. It seemed like she was trying to hide them. When I asked about them and called her on it, she didn't even remember that she had told me earlier that there were no other fees. I hate being lied to!!! My husband was tired and didn't want me to make a scene so I left without incident or saying anything about the extra $50 but it has been nagging at me! It's not so much the money, just the lying and trying to sneak it in! Just give me the correct information and let me make the decision if I want a crease or want the shirt gripper or the plain pant bottom. Redeeming them from 1 Star and taking the review to 2 Stars is this next bit... They had a beautiful black leather jacket on sale. They didn't have my husband's size but they ordered what we thought was his size and had it delivered to our house. (Not bad!) When it arrived it was beautiful, but it was too big. We took it to the store and another sales clerk promptly ordered it in the next size down. It arrived and is perfect! (My husband looks so handsome in it!) The price was cheaper than when we first ordered it so we even got a refund on the difference. (Not a $50 refund... it was like $12 cheaper.) Now back to the suits for church...they were supposed to be here by 12/11 according to our original sales girl and she said my husband would receive a call when we could go in and pick up the suits. Today is 12/19 and we have yet to receive a call. I called MW today and was told that the off-the-rack suit is ready but the custom suit is not going to be done til after the first of the new year. Our sales girl should have known it was 6 weeks for a custom suit. She should have explained this to us. I don't know what the issues were the night we were in MW. I don't know if employees are taught to be sneaky with fees or if giving mis-information is common but these are things that can sink a business. I don't know if our sales associate was not focused on what she was doing, if she didn't care about us as her customers or if she wasn't trained properly, but regardless it was not the best experience. read more

Horrible customer service, we won't be back. We went in last week on a Saturday, and yes it was busy. We walked around for a few minutes trying to find what we needed while we waited to be greeted and measured. Nobody greeted us...we waited for about 15 minutes just wandering around and didn't even get a "welcome to Men's Wearhouse, we'll be with you shortly" we ended up leaving and decided to go back today to see if it were less busy. There was only two other customers in the store being fitted, and a couple of salesman just walking around, totally ignoring us. It's not a big store in any means, I know they saw us walk in, but just like last week we weren't even greeted...walked around for a good 20 minutes looking at stuff that might suit our needs. We decided to just get a few sizes on what we thought might work. Finally when we started walking to the dressing room so my fiancé could try on what we'd had gathered an employee welcomed us and asked if he could help us find anything....uh yea...could've used you like 30 minutes ago!...I asked if he could measure my fiancé, he did, no issues, and then he asked what colors we were looking for. He had my fiancé try on the pants while he went to go get the color of shirt we were looking for, but then forgot about him so my fiancé is just sitting in the dressing room like....uh...what do I do? So finally I go look for a shirt and give it to him so he can try it on. We decided that was the shirt we liked best so my fiancé went in and changed into his normal clothes, and when he comes back out the employee walks up with the shirt...yea...you're a little late... so disappointed with this location. Long time customer of the Men's Wearhouse. I typically deal with David Olsen who is phenomenal and always goes the extra mile in creating an amazing experience, resulting in repeat business. Today, stopped in the store for new shoes, I waited and waited for about 15 minutes. The sales associate Jayden although with a customer blabbing about scoring a 4 vs a 5 on an AP calculus test and carrying on a conversation did not even acknowledge me waiting for help. He could have simply said thank you for your patience someone will he right with. Did not get a simple hello or an acknowledgement although he passed me on multiple occasions. I guess the 2 suits and three shirts the high school kid was getting was more important than a simple hello or providing somewhat a an acceptable level of customer service. Not that I expect a red carpet to be rolled out. I do expect a business that caters to the professional world to be more courteous regardless of whom they help. Location lacks simple and basic customer service skills! read more

Bought a suit 2 1/2 years ago. I wore it occasionally, but not more than once a month. Last week I saw that the pants started to give out and took it in to MW to see if they would stand behind their products. The answer is: they don't. I wasn't asking for a refund, but a suit without pants is not super useful. They offered to repair it, but made me pay for the fix. It didn't matter that I was only a few months out of warranty and that the suit was $600. I've spent a lot of money there in the past, but now am questioning the quality of their product and certainly don't think they're customer oriented. read more
